There's a young lad called Jack that's been missing in Bristol as well.

🥲🥲🥲So horrible! Honestly murders and killings all over every day. Babies, women, teenagers. 😕

Iffx · 11/07/2024 17:38

No point in using initials. Much better to get all and any publicity for Jack O’Sullivan who’s been missing since March 2nd.

I hope it isn’t him. Poor family.

FIND JACK - REWARD £20,000

23 year old Jack O'Sullivan went missing on March 2nd 2024, following a night out in Hotwells, Bristol.

Most victims are men, however I get your point! Nearly all killers are men. ✅

From the article linked to upthread it sounds as if the suspect had just committed the murder. That would perhaps (at least in part) account for his not thinking through the method of disposal?

That's what I was thinking... Its almost as if he's killed someone and thought of the first idea he's had to get rid of the body.

Kinshipug · 11/07/2024 17:44

Really clear pictures of the suspect. Hopefully he will be identified quickly.

Oh no!
We were there on a Family visit a couple of weekends ago, and there were signs up about a missing {Male} student last seen in March. {Clifton/Hotwells area}

CharlotteLightandDark · 11/07/2024 17:46

it doesn’t sound like it’s gang related, would have thought they’d be a bit more professional and not be taking taxis.

cant see it taking them long to get him with a pic like that out there

UtterlyUnimaginativeUsername · 11/07/2024 17:46

A bystander is quoted on the BBC website as having seen blood as well as suitcases, so it does sound like a fresh incident, rather than a previously missing person.

PerkyMintDeer · 11/07/2024 17:48

I hope the victim/s is/are identified and have the opportunity of a dignified burial and chance to be given into the care of their loved ones...it's such a heartbreaking end. It could quite easily be someone who is here without documentation or a victim of trafficking who we'll never know the identity of and that idea is devastating. What a world.

Sunshinethrumywindow · 11/07/2024 17:53

Imagine being that poor woman who helped them with the cases across the road. I wouldnt want to speculate. Just sad for whoever the victims family are.

That looks like the road that goes from Ashton Court to the Suspension Bridge- Public loos on the left of the picture.

I wonder if the perp wanted to dump the suitcases over the bridge itself..byt thankfully there are CCTV cameras there {Plus security 'wires' to help guard against suicide}

Backwoods57 · 11/07/2024 17:57

It feels like every day there is news of a shooting, stabbing or other killing. The country feels more violent

It definitely does.
Hope the perp gets caught.

God only knows who the victim/s are.

It’s that one

Are you from Bristol? There has been a young person missing since march. Their family are doing all they can to trace him as his disappearance is quite strange (there is not much info). I’m pretty sure many of us have thought “I hope it’s not J”. We know it’ll be someone at the end of the day, but I guess most of us hope this man sooner or later appears (alive if possible)

I’m not from Bristol but that’s irrelevant. Hoping it isn’t him means you are hoping it is someone else. Being stuffed in two suitcases is not a fate I would ‘hope’ for, for anybody.

Beetrootcocoa · 11/07/2024 18:14

to be so blatant I would perhaps assume the person who dumped the cases may have been paid to do so and didn’t realise what was in them so wasn’t too bothered about covering his tracks and saw it as perhaps just a bit of fly tipping ?

They'd have realised once blood started coming out of them

Yes I agree (unless of course those posters know the missing lad personally)

I didn’t realise that was the condition they were found in 😔

DreamTheMoors · 11/07/2024 18:25

The thing that creeps me out is that I could be standing in line in front of a murderer at the market or live next door to one. They could be standing next to me in line at McDonald’s.
I went to school with a kid who murdered a woman, sat her corpse in the front seat of the car and drove the 250 miles back to our town and then put her body in an oil drum and tried to burn it.
His parents caught him and called the police.
He was just a normal, everyday kid in school - or so we thought.
What happens to people that turns them into cold blooded murderers? Are they born that way?
It’s bone-chilling to read these stories.

Willmafrockfit · 11/07/2024 18:35

i hope they find the man soon,
frightening

Hvjudefjhfdr · 11/07/2024 18:39

@DreamTheMoors I think this sometimes too, it’s terrifying that they walk amongst us. Prison sentences are short too, given their crimes. Then when it’s known what monstrous behaviour they are capable, they are released back out with everyone’s fingers crossed they don’t do it again.
Murderers should always serve their entire life behind bars IMO.

Where did you see that about someone helping with the cases? I haven’t read that anywhere.
