I think the difference is that RR wasn't actually involved in beheadings etc
Unlike S.B

I believe that the security services know way more than is made pubic and have very specific information about why ut would not be safe to have her back here

Yes, there's loads we don't know

Sorry, I haven't RTFT so may have missed more complex discussion, but this case has made a permanent impression on me. As my child was born here and my DH is British, I did toy with the idea of British citizenship. I've since chosen the citizenship (I have to choose as it's single citizenship) for my child which most aligns with their ethnic/outward appearance, i.e. that of my home country.

I actually do think the right call was made in these circumstances – to me, the notion of citizenship is rooted in a social contract – but genuinely can't quite imagine the same call being made for a white 15 year old British girl, especially not a middle-class one. I hardly think my child is going to run off and join ISIS, but such factors might be relevant for example in differing amounts of foreign aid volunteered (as we've seen in other cases comparable to each other) if my child ever gets trapped abroad etc.

For those who believe she was groomed do you feel her parents are responsible?

Groomed or not - her parents would most definitely have known what was going on. There are no innocent parties here apart from the three babies she lost

Not necessarily. Do all parents on here continually monitor what their kids are doing online? Given how much they now have to be online for homework etc. I don't know. I'm sure groomers go for the vulnerable and know how to get to them in ways that will win them over.
