I couldn't see another post so thought I'd create one.

There is a police press conference this afternoon. I can't see a time for this but it's sounding like a routine one.

The gate into the field

Missing Woman Nicola Bulley 3

Yes. That's the gate. And when you pull it closed behind you the dog is not going under it or through it.

Picoloangel · 07/02/2023 23:17

As re the Daily Fail footage having been edited - I think the expression in the water is now to be found a little later, around a minute and 40 seconds. Couldn’t it have been a slip of the tongue and a reference to where the police THOUGHT she’d fallen in?

I am still leaning towards tragic accident but agree that various aspects of this case are really baffling.

Yeah, that's a huge job
How long does dashcam footage last before being deleted or recorded over does anyone know?

Depends on the memory card size, the settings of the device, or if it's uploaded to e.g. the cloud ect

Surely any perpetrator would have been seen by these witnesses that spotted her too

itsnote · 07/02/2023 23:21

"Surely any perpetrator would have been seen by these witnesses that spotted her too"

Which witness. The one who spotted her from afar across the field at 0910 or the ones earlier on way back on the towpath? Nobody else was there when she went missing so how would they spot anything?

You would think so but is it possible they could have hidden somewhere and left the area much later?

ShellsPebbles · 07/02/2023 23:22

A thought has occurred to me - I wonder if the dog didn’t bark or seem hugely stressed because she had told it to ‘stay’ and then walked away in whichever direction. The dog would have been left conflicted over whether to stay or follow if it was well trained to do that.

@Hawkins002 Yes or they may be someone who has a dog/is known locally. Getting into speculation now I know so I won't go any further.

Any ‘witness’ could be a perpetrator

User45378754 · 07/02/2023 23:33

Is there any CCTV / dashcam of her anywhere beyond her driveway?

Or is it solely x2 eye witness reports: first one - ‘laughing and dogs interacted’ and second at 9:10 from a distance.

First account seems reliable - second less so.

I wondered if the dog didnt bark too, maybe it recognised the person, if it wasnt the case she fell in the river

Bluebellwood129 · 07/02/2023 23:47

@User45378754 I wondered about the second witness as well. Other than someone who knows her well (so I assume wouldn't mistake her for someone else), I don't think any other information has been released.

sazza76 · 07/02/2023 23:49

I wonder if its possible that someone on a bike/scooter came along the path and knocked her so she fell in (but didn’t stop). The dog might have even got in their way. If she hit her head or something she may not have been able to swim.
I just hope that they find her wherever she is, her family and friends must be going through hell.

Sounds like shell companies seems suspicious

Very common for Accountacy/Company Secretarial type businesses to have shell companies available in case a client needs them quickly - much easier to have an off the shelf shell company ready than set it up from scratch. SO not necessarily suspicious.

For Christ sake honestly I think threads like this would deter anyone from coming forward incase they were torn apart in the net a potential suspect.

Remember Christopher Jeffries and Robert moratt? If not Google them.

A grass cutter indeed!!!

That’s interesting because I thought if she went that way the dog would follow. So the main reason the police say she went in the river is that no one saw her exit anywhere , or saw any other person around . That’s their only reason really .

Or there's other evidence they've chosen not to share with the public.

I've had a look on Netflix for the documentary, Libby Are you Home Yet and it isn't coming up.

Some posters have said it is really worth watching but have I got the title wrong?

The Libby are you Home Yet series is on Sky rather than Netflix. It was made by Sky Crime.

Doubt she was that well trained
Nicola stopped taking a ball on some dog walks as the dog pestered her so much ( According to friends)

That isn’t what a “Well trained” dog would do.

That level of obedience tends to be in competition dogs who don’t do prolonged sit stays either.

Dog was found in “Agitated state”

Christopher Jeffries taught my friends son
He said all along Jeffries was not the perpetrator- As did a friend who knew him.

Yet the press basically accused him from day one-
While Tabak was guilty next door.

Press can be utter cnuts.
