I couldn't see another post so thought I'd create one.

There is a police press conference this afternoon. I can't see a time for this but it's sounding like a routine one.

Another thing I wonder about this case is how do they know what times she was seen in both fields. If I saw somebody my first thought isn’t to check the time incase they vanish. So the window of time she vanished in could actually be longer or shorter than they think.

The person may have walked back to the road and been seen on CCTV or they had a fitness band/gps thingy?

Walkinmeshoes · 07/02/2023 21:15

Sadly I think accidental fall.
Too many people (not on here) are treating it like a true crime who done it podcast when actually the real event is far more mundane but tragic. Drownings are incredibly frequent and many are not given the same publicity as this case.
Sadly I doubt they'll find her body. The size of the Wyre estuary at Fleetwood plus the strong dangerous undercurrents will make the search logistically very difficult.

What is the Libby documentary called please?

How do people know he had financial worries and what bearing does this have?

Oh come on! You’re basing your theory on TV shows? What kind of “drop” do you think happened in a tiny village in North West England in a river that isn’t commonly used by boats?

So she drops her kids at the school, "leaves her car there" (where exactly? The school car park?) and goes for this walk. A few witnesses saw her - did they know her? "Yes it was definitely Nicola, she said hello" is a bit different to "Did you see a woman in her 40s in a long coat with a brown dog?" -"Err, yes, I think". Theres no CCTV footage. Can we really be sure she was there?

Yes both of the witnesses were known to her, it says in the timeline of events and they regularly saw her on walks. One of their dogs briefly played with/ sniffed Nicola’s dog.

Amazing set of circumstances if she's made it to Fleetwood

The quote was lost on you.

@davegrohll It has been alleged that her DP’s business is being wound down due to company accounts being overdue. You can see there is a proposal to strike it off on Government website and his name is on there as Director, whether is him or not I don’t know but it seems to fit.

With regards to the theory that Nicola may have decided to disappear of her volition. Well she’d have needed a vehicle to have been able to leave the area without being seen. If someone had taken her off, they’d have also have needed a vehicle and this is more likely than a devoted mum of two little girls dumping her dog and ignoring the massive media attention of her disappearance.

As soon as I saw the picture of the bench with the kissing gate, wooded area beyond and her apparently on her phone more than likely with headphones on, I immediately thought foul play, someone had come up behind her and somehow left in a vehicle with her.

Headphones have never been mentioned though. Would be interested to know whether she had them that day.

They said they were known to her, but not how they were known to her.
I’ve thought this though. I do a regular walk where I ‘know’ certain faces who I see regularly and say hello too. But if someone asked if I had seen them that morning I would struggle to remember if it was that morning or if I was actually remembering a different day. Maybe that’s my menopausal brain though. I think it is significant if they knew her well enough to know for sure they saw her or whether they were just used to seeing her on her regular walk so thought they saw her.

He was referring to when they first drown, not when decomposition starts.

Walkinmeshoes · 07/02/2023 21:22

@Whichusernametocreate some person on Twitter or Facebook seemingly looked his company up on some kind of companies website. All speculation but he and Nicola were directors of companies that hadn't submitted accounts. They also owned a caravan on a local site that was used as a business address. Don't know how accurate this info is and seems pretty distasteful tbh.

Rebus123 · 07/02/2023 21:23

If they manage to eliminate any sightings of Nicola walking on the lane or road between 0910-30 then it places Nicola firmly near the river and fields.

Not really. It only means she wasn’t walking on the lane or the road. She could have been in a van or out of sight in a car, or inside a house or a caravan.

Sounds like shell companies seems suspicious

OnSecondThoughts · 07/02/2023 21:25

Yes, ShellsPebbles, I'm thinking this too. "Were known to her" doesn't nec. mean "knew her".

Dontsayyouloveme · 07/02/2023 21:26

She may have change into wellies fit the walk

pigsinoodies · 07/02/2023 21:27

@FrostyNethers not filing accounts with Companies House on time is no indication whatsoever of money worries.

They lived in a house next to a caravan site.

I feel having been on incidents with SGI International they are excellent in their role. I feel if they draw a blank then she may be washed down river and sadly her body may never be recovered. So sad for the family

Probably one of the ones tweeting about her flying off in a light aircraft from Warton 🤣
