This is a disgusting comment and it should not be allowed to be published on this website.

if you think it breaks talk guidelines, report it. Otherwise, you do not get to police what people can and can’t say.

Still not quite sure what is disgusting about the facts of the case.

There have been determined efforts to prevent proper diagnostic examinations being carried out. Anyone would wonder why that would happen if you wanted the best chances for a child.

There have been inconsistent accounts given to the media. In the bedroom on the phone when it happened, came home and found him etc.

The mother does not come over as being terribly reliable with facts. As evidenced in every live interview where dreadful accusations of murder and 'exercution' (sp) are being leveled against consultants.

Riverlee · 04/08/2022 11:35

I hate seeing the photos of him in hospital. I appreciate they’re being publish to garner public support, but it makes me feel uneasy. It doesn’t feel very dignified and feels a bit ghoulish.

I see Archie's Army have found us!

I have read how she would like him to go to a hospice maybe she is starting to accept the inevitable now I hope they can facilitate her wishes for end of life care at a hospice somehow

She has said if they don't give him oxygen after his ventilator has been removed then she will do it herself. Doesn't sound like she's preparing for a peaceful passing tbh.

TugboatAnnie · 04/08/2022 11:37

They're not facts @BongoJim and you know it. I bet you were at the front crucifying the McCanns.

OpinionsUnseen · 04/08/2022 11:37

I see Archie's Army have found us! oh I think that happened with the poster who expressed how she felt that the CLC were being unfairly demonised….

pepsirolla · 04/08/2022 11:38

I do not understand why she wants to move him unless it's a "win" for her. The best for Archie, or anyone when dying is to have loved ones around for as calm and peaceful passing as medically possible. Play music etc, celebrate his life whatever helps. The building isn't important and she is insulting families whose loved ones have had to die in hospital. I really hope someone can get her to understand this and how trying to move him will most likely result in him passing in transit.

tanstaafl · 04/08/2022 11:39

the move to an hospice, if it should happen, is it for the hospital to move Archie or the hospice to move Archie.

who has responsibility?

Hothammock · 04/08/2022 11:40

I hope that fighting for Archie to the best of her ability and in every way she can through every avenue available to her gives her the chance to find peace one day.

What a very very sad situation. It is impossible to make this right.

TugboatAnnie · 04/08/2022 11:40

Hopefully Archie and his family can say goodbye alone. I think that's all they want now. The hospice was mooted because it was too noisy and impersonal in the hospital according to some mutual friends.

I have reported it. It's been deleted on the other thread and now someone has copied to this thread and it's being quoted again!

But it's accurate if poorly worded

There are two people who know the truth we are neither of those I would personally take it further

There is one person who knows what the thought was that led to the action that led to the hospital bed and they cannot speak for themselves

Best not to speculate

What can she be hoping the oxygen will do though? She really can't be so much in denial that she thinks he will spontaneously start breathing again once he is off the ventilator, from what I understand his brain has completely decayed so why is she doing this? Sadly the poor little chap died back in April when he - for whatever reason, online challenge or not - hung himself, and in the meantime I'm sure there are children who have a chance of survival that have been waiting for a place in that ICU.

Which isn't a fact?

That only two people know what happened.
That one of them can't tell us what happened
That the other ones story has changed.

I think it's because the hospital has become a toxic place to her. She doesn't want the final moments to be there, but somewhere neutral with people she believes are supportive.

I say that because I remember reading a similar situation with significant animosity between the hospital and parents in the past and they didn't want such an important moment to happen with those people around.

It's likely entirely emotional as she won't be able to think rationally now. Understandably.

HappyHamsters · 04/08/2022 11:44

I expect she would be told that oxygen wont make any difference if he cannot breathe for himself, and he wouldnt be having his oxygen levels monitored anyway, how distressing for everyone if she grapples with the staff who would be safer just letting her do it but what happens if she starts cpr or insists the staff do when his heart stops.

They don't seem able to answer that one.

RubyWho · 04/08/2022 11:45

I have been following the case very closely and it's affected me in the same way that I am sure it's affected many, many others. I also work in law (policy rather than enforcement) and have been interested in the medical law, ethics and procedural side - as grim as that may sound.

Archie is four months younger than my own little boy, and they have very similar appearances. All I can think of when I see the photos of him (which shouldn't be allowed to be published, as many others have expressed), is that he looks like a beautiful sleeping child, much like my own boy. Except, he isn't. He may look peaceful but he's not at any kind of peace, or discomfort, because he is no longer with us. I can totally empathise how a distraught mother would non-logically just want more time with her child who is sleeping peacefully. But, she is not thinking logically and like many other's have said, is being hugely exploited.

The entire situation is a devastating tragedy.

OpinionsUnseen · 04/08/2022 11:46

When is the court expected to rule?

I think that if she’s publicly saying that she will prevent his life support being removed it is actually time to actively remove her from the situation.

As sad as it is this is the choice she has made with her words and actions.

No it's a legitimate group who call themselves that and have a FB page.

A group who wholly and fully support the actions and words of Ms Dance as they are allowed. A group who believe arch is should be allowed to live and his mum has full rights over his care.

As has also been evidenced there are also many people (arguably more) who sympathise with her but disagree with her actions and accusations.

Karen? That's a bit mysogenistic.

Maerchentante · 04/08/2022 11:48

As IANAL nor have much legal knowledge, could there be a point where the court could say "That's it, no more applications"?

I just feel that while Archie's "dignity" is being used left, right and centre by his family, they are not giving him any.

TugboatAnnie · 04/08/2022 11:49

I know it's a legitimate group, I'm not one of them but it was used as a put down ok?
