Just a very quick post to let you all I know that Molly and I are fit and well. We are very safe, and very well supported. Not by people involved in the "story", but in all the normal ways that new mothers get support. I would never have made this decision if I believed for one minute that it would endanger Molly - I would have given her up before I saw any harm come to her, potential or otherwise.

I didn't make this decision rashly - and I made absolutely certain that we would both be ok. We have antenatal care, and my new midwife has all the paperwork from the UK. I have also sought psychological support to enable me to deal with the aftermath of what's occurred. Molly and I are already making new links and friends in our new home. We really are okay. We have a chance at a life together now, and that is all I ever wanted for us.

To quickly shut down any potential speculation about financial matters - I have received no money whatsoever from any media, anonymous well-wishers, wealthy benefactors etc. etc.

Fran - so glad you posted on here. Can i just say what strength of character you have shown. The fact that after your difficult time you then worked for others who are suffering and also took on a 3 year degree is a testiment to you. I wish you a happy and healthy remainder of pregnancy (am due around the same time). I have no doubt that you will be a fantastic mother because you already are one.

Fwiw, I have had personal experience of the secrecy of family courts.
