For those of you who are interested - and don't want any arguing - the news update according to Sky

• police are now looking for a man seen in a white van
• they have an e-fit of him
• also want to interview an american who lives locally who owns a white van and hasn't been seen for the last few days
• reward of £1.5M has been offered by the News of the World

I know lots of people with glass eyes. in fact I used to know someone who used to put his glass eye in his mouth and stick out his tongue with it on...

(I ment the ins and outs of the parents actions pre LO being taken)

but incidently, I do find it not odd so much but why have the press homed in on the one man? if 4 others are being questioned why are the press not going after those as well/camping outside their houses.

if that man is indeed innocent (which we don't know either way yet) he's been named and shamed in a way which by the sounds of it from statments in the bbc that it's really effected his UK famly to the point of his own LO being in hiding - how is that fair for them to be hounded as well esp when we don't know the ins/outs there.

and this thread is bloody slow to load now and not sure if anyone brave enough to start a new one?

Well, blow me down. Since when did not leaving three children alone become "impeccable parenting"? And it's only a news thread if you regard what Sky broadcasts as news. Many people don't.

OK, NKF and toomuchtodo - I apologise but really the issue of leaving children alone has been discussed endlessly and it doesn't really help now.

No, off you go and hear what Sky has to say about the Russian man. They'll probably find someone he went to school with in Bela Rus and she won't really remember him but they'll interview her anyway. And perhaps we'll soon hear about his prostrate problems. Bring it on, Sky.

somewhere down the thread it says that there's a russian man who's a friend of Murat's who has a history of violent sexual crime, and who helped design Murat's website and who police are suspicious of.

wannabe..i thought i read that too..but then thought i must be mistaken because sky were just interviwing a russian who built murats web site...and there was no mention whatsoever of him being implicated...he was simply an aquatiance of murats.
