Updated allegations (as of 17-10-17) Alleged harassment/assault often took place in hotel suites or offices or private residences/rooms. Some at Cannes, Sundance, Venice, Toronto film festivals. Complainants included actresses, assistants, interns, models, presenters, a producer.

'Bargaining' was a ploy in many cases as was presenting himself in a bathrobe or naked or in the bath and often took place in hotel suite meetings where women were sent up to the room from the original venue or accompanied by assistants who were then told to leave.

God. How many is that now?! I notice that both Matt Damon and George Cloony are doing associative damage limitation with Matt clarifying earlier denunciations with "Well yes I knew about Gwyneth, but sort of didn't know about how bad things really were still" and GC doing the "yeah I knew he used women and was a bit of a bully but essentially thought he was nice and fluffy". I think Weinstens ex PA has made a statement as well.

One of HW’s former assistants has breached her NDA & gone public to highlight how punitive her NDA is & how dreadful the process was, touching on the massive power imbalance & the attempts to curb her future testimony in any criminal investigations. The award was for sexual harrassment and one her jobs was to wake him in his hotel room - he would regularly try to pull her into bed with him. Ugh! Article is in the Guardian. Victim blaming at its worse, and in exactly the same breath saying why didn’t she come forward before!

It’s partly endemic misogyny, and partly, yet again, men simply not understanding the scale of this problem.

How frustrating is it for women to be told they should have come forward, and when they do come forward, they’re disbelieved.

The fundamental issue is what can Pervy Wankstain actually be charged with. So from the legal rather than moral point of view, what can go to court?
I have zero knowledge of UK/US law so those that do, please inform me.
Where above he did casting couch/indecent proposal, is that a crime under sexual discrimination/sexual harassment charges or does it have to be a pattern of behaviour/demands on more than one occasion?
Where he took his penis out, is that indecent exposure or does it have to be in a public place rather than a private hotel room? Is masturbating indecent exposure or lewd behaviour or both?
Is groping/any unwanted touching or kissing sexual assault and grabbing/lunging attempted sexual assault?
Is there a statute on charges other than rape?
If Rape = penetration of mouth, anus or vagina with penis, what does forced cunnilingus fall under, sexual assault?

Gloria Aldren (represented some of Cosby and Trump's complainants ans is representing some of the women above) is Lisa Bloom's mum (HWs legal rep before she quit).
I assume she is going for a civil case. Huett was reportedly suing for five million.

I haven't looked Datun but I can imagine what they said. See my earlier comment regarding the criticism of Asia Argento (she, like Lysette Anthony returned to the aggressor which means that the CPS in the UK would potentially not prosecute because of credibility). It is why, despite 69 witnesses, he might still get away with it. It being a four decade long pattern of predatory behaviour, from harassment to rape.

Ah. Huett's lawyer is Jeff Herman. She is suing The Weinstein Co. because she only recently learned of claims that the company knew of long-running sexual harassment allegations against its co-founder, he said.
The attorney said that information is key to overcoming statute-of-limitations hurdles that would otherwise block the case from moving forward.

Eric Schneiderman announced a civil rights investigation on Monday into The Weinstein Co. following sexual harassment and assault allegations against its co-founder, Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

As part of the investigation, the prosecutor's office issued a subpoena seeking company records on harassment complaints and legal settlements to determine whether any civil rights and anti-discrimination laws were broken.

"No New Yorker should be forced to walk into a workplace ruled by sexual intimidation, harassment or fear," said Schneiderman, a Democrat. "If sexual harassment or discrimination is pervasive at a company, we want to know."

All good but if all actions are being taken against the Weinstein Company rather than Harvey Weinstein then he still evades justice.

I agree that he could invade legal justice. But if he does, I wonder if the sheer scale of his harassment might make people take another look at the law.

Another actress has come out to say that she was being sexually harassed by theatre director Stafford Clark as long ago as 1992. Nothing to do with his stroke as is being currently alleged!

Litigation against firms would make them less inclined to shield the likes of HW in future, if successful. In the UK, could it be seen as a derogation of responsibities for employees’ health, safety & welfare if there is a revolving door approach to repeatedly hiring assistants, placing them in predictably hazardous work situations & paying them off? Reeks of corporate liability to me & my understanding of H&S legislation is that individual directors can be charged. I believe mental health harms are covered.
