I think it is absolutely right that a school pupil of whichever sex can wear the traditional uniform of either sex.

However, I am slightly more concerned that this individual has also been granted the right to use toilet and changing facilities of the opposite sex - this bothers me as these areas are sex segregated for good reason

Let me explain that. Civil unions were made legal this year, but it is still illegal for the so called "stepchild" adoption and either a father and a mother must be named on the birth cert or else just the mother. So officially same sex couples cannot be recognised as parents

Once men are allowed in what were previously sex segregated spaces then it's no longer a ladies changing room. It's essentially unisex. And this is kinda funny because it's clear from online activism that the transwomen want access to such spaces because it validates their self-image and, in some cases, satisfies a fetish. But as soon as they occupy that space they change its nature and can no longer use it to supply that reinforcement because if they can use it any man can.

What gets me is the claim in every debate I've seen on this issue that no transwoman has ever attacked a woman in a loo, changing room, whatever - which is totally dishonest. You'd think Googling was difficult. But it's not.

No, Amalgi, I was referring to the fact that no amount of muscling will turn a male into a female. People could blame Mother Nature, or just reality. Transgenderism is not much more than what my kids call cosplay, given that only 1 in 5 transwomen have SRS and the percentage of transmen who have it is even smaller. Not that I blame them, given how dire the results seem to be.

Aw, shame the trans period stuff is hoaxy , if trans m2f were deemed to be having periods ( you know, like the ones that cif women have been having for thousands of years) I reckon a) tampons and pads would soon be if not free then at least vat free, and b) menstruation would entitle you to an extra day or threes holiday a month, if not a cash allowance for the inconvenience and distress............
