I hadn't actually thought that Nigel Farage could go lower in my estimation. But have to admit I was wrong...

Hillary and Bill were pals of Trump. Trump's daughter is pals with Hillary's daughter. It was Bill Clinton who phoned Trump and suggested that he run for President. That is why there were conspiracy theories that Trump works for the Clintons.

Absolutely, but atleast they give the impression of not being complete lunatics, which is a plus.

but no one cares because he is real and intends to sort the Establishment out.

The problem is this isn't an episode of Top Gear. Whatever qualities or opinions you wish to project on to Trump you can only do that by deliberately ignoring what he has actually said and done.

Hillary said that Senator Byrd, a former leading figure in the Ku Klux Klan was her mentor.

"The Republican nominee retweeted a supporter's post that the Democratic nominee "said a KKK member was her mentor." And speaking later in Des Moines, Iowa, he dredged up Clinton's use of the term "super predators" in the 1990s to argue that he, not Clinton, offered African-Americans the best choice for president.
...
"@DiamondandSilk: Crooked Hillary getting desperate. On TV bashing Trump. @CNN, she forgot how she said a KKK member was her mentor," Trump tweeted Saturday."

Diamond and Silk are the black Stump for Trump sisters, Trump's biggest fans.

"Duke has spent his life founding and supporting various white nationalist and white supremacist groups, while Byrd, by contrast, spent the majority of his life publicly disavowing and repeatedly apologizing for hisearly KKK affiliation."

claig · 29/08/2016 12:02

Elections are full of smears and spin, run by spin doctors, who are given honours such as OBEs etc here for services to spin. The Labour and Tory party hire the best US spinners who have fought election campaigns in the States to help them win over here, and we send them our best and brightest Oxbridge spinners to help them over there. That's how it works, all the spinners swapping tricks in how to fool the public and demonize the candidate that the Establishment opposes.

claig · 29/08/2016 12:04

'"Duke has spent his life founding and supporting various white nationalist and white supremacist groups, while Byrd, by contrast, spent the majority of his life publicly disavowing and repeatedly apologizing for hisearly KKK affiliation."'

Absolutely, but Duke was not Trump's mentor and Trump hasn't spoken to him, whereas Hillary said that Byrd was her mentor.

Lweji · 29/08/2016 12:13

but Trump fans don't care

You do keep saying this, but his fan base is dwindling. His die hard fans keep their ears and eyes shut, but many people don't.

He has a staggering disapproval rate, which means it will be very hard impossible to conquer the normal swing voters that most Republican candidates would go for.

And before you say the Establishment manipulates polls, I'm sure Trump has his own polls. He could show his results if they are that different.

Lweji · 29/08/2016 12:16

That's how it works, all the spinners swapping tricks in how to fool the public and demonize the candidate that the Establishment opposes.

Erm...
Hillary's supposed bad health...

claig · 29/08/2016 12:17

'I'm sure Trump has his own polls. He could show his results if they are that different.'

I linked the video where "gone Channel 4's" Matt Frei asks Trump's new campaign manager, Kelly-Anne Conway, about Trump's private polling. She says there are silent Trump voters who feel bullied by the Establishment's smearing of Trump and therefore don't openly tell pollsters the truth, just like over Brexit, where the Establishment used the same tried and tested bullying techniques masterminded by their OBE Oxbridge spinners to try and fool the British public, but we beat them.

claig · 29/08/2016 12:20

'Erm...
Hillary's supposed bad health...'

Yes, unless there is truth to that. We don't know. Trump says that Hillary gives a ten minute speech and then has to go and lie down and sleep for 3 days. I don't know the veracity of that.

merrymouse · 29/08/2016 12:22

Byrd endorsed Obama and Obama delivered a eulogy at Byrd's funeral.

Apparently, after more than half a century and with enough evidence to show that your opinions have changed, you can be forgiven.

You have no idea whether Duke and Trump have ever spoken, but it is very clear that Duke has a long way to go before he stops being a white supremacist.

Lweji · 29/08/2016 12:23

About Hillary and Byrd and KKK:

www.snopes.com/clinton-byrd-photo-klan/

From the site:
"It's also true that Robert Byrd was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1940s [...] However, in 1952 Byrd avowed that "After about a year, I [...] dropped my membership in the organization," and throughout his long political career (he served for 57 years in the United States Congress) he repeatedly apologized for his involvement with the KKK :

"I know now I was wrong. Intolerance had no place in America. I apologized a thousand times ... and I don't mind apologizing over and over again. I can't erase what happened."

Even the NAACP mourned his death :
www.naacp.org/press/entry/naacp-mourns-the-passing-of-u.s.-senator-robert-byrd/

So, so different, from Duke (also from Snopes):
"First of all, Trump declined to condemn Duke and the Ku Klux Klan in February 2016, making the story current and newsworthy, whilephotograph of Hillary Clinton was taken more than a decade ago. The lack of current coverage isn't because the print media are ignoring the association, but because the photograph is a several-year-old story.

Second, while David Duke is no longer a member of the Ku Klux Klan, he is still an active member of another white supremacist organization, NAAWP: the National Association for the Advancement of White People."

claig · 29/08/2016 12:24

'but it is very clear that Duke has a long way to go before he stops being a white supremacist.'

Absolutely, which is why he has nothing to do with the Trump campaign.

Lweji · 29/08/2016 12:29

Hillary's supposed bad health

There is the same truth to her bad health as to the doctor's letter Trump has shown about his health.

Trump says that Hillary gives a ten minute speech and then has to go and lie down and sleep for 3 days. I don't know the veracity of that.

Do you ever not see Hillary for 3 days? Really?
I assume that's one of your "jokes", because the alternative is not that flattering to you.

And where are those Trump polls?

Even the Trump channel showed Hillary ahead.
FOX News 7/31 - 8/2 1022 RV 3.0 49 39 Clinton +10

Silent voters afraid of anonymously saying they'll vote for Trump?
Really?
How come they were not silent or afraid in the Nomination race?

claig · 29/08/2016 12:30

Have you read some of the things Byrd said and wrote when he was an Exalted Cyclops in the Ku Klux Klan in his twenties? It is too disgusting to quote. He should have had no place in the Democratic Party, let alone become a Senator.

The Labour Party bans BNP members from joining, as far as I know. The Democrats should have done that with Byrd, in my opinion.

Lweji · 29/08/2016 12:31

You realise that people can have a bad year in their youth?

claig · 29/08/2016 12:31

'How come they were not silent or afraid in the Nomination race?'

Because that was a secret ballot, the same as the election, the same as Brexit.

claig · 29/08/2016 12:33

'bad year'?

Do you realise how many years he was in it and how old he was at the time?

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 29/08/2016 12:44

You seem to know Trump very well

I would like where he would and wouldn't use nuclear bombs

And under what conditions ?

claig · 29/08/2016 12:48

'You seem to know Trump very well'

I read the papers and watch the news.

'I would like where he would and wouldn't use nuclear bombs

And under what conditions ?'

No one knows, but there won't be war with Russia or China under Trump.

Lweji · 29/08/2016 13:02

Do you realise how many years he was in it and how old he was at the time?

According to Snopes and as I quoted earlier:
www.snopes.com/clinton-byrd-photo-klan/

From the site:
"It's also true that Robert Byrd was a member of the Ku Klux Klan in the 1940s [...] However, in 1952 Byrd avowed that "After about a year, I [...] dropped my membership in the organization," and throughout his long political career (he served for 57 years in the United States Congress) he repeatedly apologized for his involvement with the KKK

Caipora · 29/08/2016 13:07

he is a bit of a plank He likes to say he has the highest IQ etc, but no one believes him He makes mistakes he says stupid things

You think no one cares?! I used to live in the rural deep south. I know many die hard rebublicans. They care, they care enough to think he's a liar, a cheat and as you say; a plank.

These characteristics are not the best mix for a man that would be the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet. I hope he's such a plank that even people who agree with a lot of what he says will not vote for him.

Mind you, as they say, Britain and the USA are in a race to see who can sink themselves first. Britain is in the lead, but the USA has the Trump card Grin

claig · 29/08/2016 13:10

' I know many die hard rebublicans. They care, they care enough to think he's a liar, a cheat and as you say; a plank. '

But who are they voting for?

claig · 29/08/2016 13:15

This is from Wikipedia about Byrd. The hypocrisy of the people who allowed him to become a Democrat Senator is staggering.

"Senator Robert Byrd was a Kleagle, a Klan recruiter, in his 20s and 30s.
Democrat United States Senator Robert C. Byrd was a recruiter for the Klan while in his 20s and 30s, rising to the title of Kleagle and Exalted Cyclops of his local chapter. After leaving the group, Byrd spoke in favor of the Klan during his early political career. Though he claimed to have left the organization in 1943, Byrd wrote a letter in 1946 to the group's Imperial Wizard stating "The Klan is needed today as never before, and I am anxious to see its rebirth here in West Virginia." Byrd attempted to explain or defend his former membership in the Klan in his 1958 U.S. Senate campaign when he was 41 years old.[1]

Despite being the only Senator to vote against both African American U.S. Supreme Court nominees (liberal Thurgood Marshall and conservative Clarence Thomas) and filibustering the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Byrd later said joining the Klan was his "greatest mistake." The NAACP gave him a 100% rating on their issues during the 108th Congress.[2] However, in a 2001 incident Byrd repeatedly used the phrase "white ns" on a national television broadcast.[3]"

claig · 29/08/2016 13:16

'was a recruiter for the Klan while in his 20s and 30s'

I thought it was just his 20s, but it is his 30s as well. Incredible that they let him become a Senator for the Democrats.

Worth reading about the support for Trump among Black voters.

Donald Trump is doing great with black and hispanic voters now according to polls that don't exist

Even if you consider the Poll that has been giving the best results for Trump, his only increase for Black voters coincided when the error margin also increased.
