My uncle sent me this and thought it was an appropriate time to share it with you

The Truth?

OP posts:
Aloha · 03/01/2007 19:43

Remember, the hijackers were real people, with real lives and real families whom people have spoken to. Their movements have been tracked around the US, with dozens or more of eyewitnesses who say they saw them, gave them flying lessons etc.

Monkeytrousers · 03/01/2007 19:53

Just to up the emotional anti - there is harrowing footage/recordings of calls on Youtube from people in the towers to their families and loved ones - definetly not faked. It's all a bit mad this.

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 20:00

and the biggest WHY of all.

If this was all set up by the Bush administration to justify an invasion of Iraq, why did they set up a group that had no links with Iraq, and who's leader was well known to hate Saddam Hussain and his secular state????

That one is a real 'Duur' IMHO

Papillon · 03/01/2007 20:07

Its impossible to assemble much of the building when most it exploded.

Tests will never solve anything as scientists are so varied and inconclusive about anything, wtc included.

That is why the people ask so much because the authorities cannot provide answers. I hope they keep on disbelieving, I cannot believe that you do not see anything strange with 9/11. As some have said, some conspiracies have become true...

Its despicable to me in every way, from the deaths to why this happened. Whether its the American / Bush administration to Bin Laden.

I am lucky I knew nobody there, would not want the emotional scarring.

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 20:10

Why is this so much more unbelieveable than the tube bombing in London?

Or the suicide bomings that happen daily in Bagdad, or in palestine?

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 20:11

and why would they 'set up;' the wrong people????

JanH · 03/01/2007 20:17

Why would they not release the black box information?

JoolsToo · 03/01/2007 20:18

I do believe the planes were flown by terrorists, I believe they are the model of plane stated. I believe, I believe, I believe. The problem I have is with the way the towers collapsed, the way WTC7 collapsed and I haven't seen/read anything that sways me from still being perplexed.

This may be of interest though

I'm prepared to listen/look/read, I find it all fascinating. I may not come to the same conclusions as you but that's my prerogative.

uwila · 03/01/2007 20:18

MB, it's more unbelievable because it is about America, and worse yet... George W. Bush's administration. Some people love to hate America. They want to believe these truly ludicrous things about American.

I can't believe this thread is still going on. I am truly baffled at the possibility the some of you truly believe the things you are typing.

Oh, and Youtube is hardly a credible news source... even for Guardian readers.

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 20:29

Joolstoo....I feel the same...

JoolsToo · 03/01/2007 20:32

uwila please don't tell me you admire Bush?

He's not all there

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 20:34

Bush can only just form a sentance half the time....as a man in power and in the public eye he says some very daft things

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 20:35

I'll agree with you that people love to think the worst of the americans.

When the Tsunami happened there were people posting on MN convinced that the americans had done it by setting off an underwater nuke. The 'proof' in that case being that Diego Garcia was relativly unaffected.

The fact that a nuke has a characteristic seismic 'footprint' was ignored. hating the americans was easier to do.

JoolsToo · 03/01/2007 20:35

a lot of the YOu Tube stuff is just copies of News items all quite legit

I mean hey, Tony Blair, our esteemed PM told us to believe Iraq had WMD that could reach us in 45 minutes - he lied, shock horror.

Tony? You Tube? Tony? You Tube?
it's a close run thing.

JoolsToo · 03/01/2007 20:35

ludaloo - when he can actually formulate the words

JoolsToo · 03/01/2007 20:36

here

actually its not that funny

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 20:37

What do you mean by hating Americans exactly??
I don't hate Americans! I don't know any Americans..

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 20:39

That has made me spray my squash out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh...he looks so perplexed!

JanH · 03/01/2007 20:40

William Rodriguez - in The Conservative Voice, interestingly. I think he may know a little bit more about it than you do, uwila, from watching it on TV on a Dublin store.

A WTC janitor - he was in the basement area of WTC1 and heard/felt an explosion nearby before the impact above. He stayed in the building, led firemen up the stairwells, rescued people and was still in the building when it collapsed. He was honoured as a hero at the White House but is part of the 9/11 truth movement:

"William Rodriguez saved lives that day. Currently he is attempting to alert the public to what actually happened. He is a courageous witness to those terrible events. The controlled censored media doesn't really appear willing to report the real news but rather they promote whatever the propaganda ministry wants the masses to believe. It takes continuous courage to go against such opposition but that is the kind of man he is. He says that he owes it to his friends - those that were slaughtered for some covert political agenda.

William spent hours testifying before the 9-11 Commission behind closed doors. His testimony as an eye witness does not appear anywhere in the 576 page report. But after all, Bush told us who did it, so why bother to examine the evidence or talk with the witnesses. The only agency that was allowed to investigate the circumstances of the event was FEMA."

Also, it says (hadn't heard this before, will follow it up in a minute)

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 20:41

That has really tickled me!!!!!!!
The music complements it so well!!!

JanH · 03/01/2007 20:42

Have a look at this one then , Jools

(the speechless one is actually on a loop, sadly, he's not quite that inarticulate!)

Jan you know the link you put up with the strange object....I've found this

christie1 · 03/01/2007 20:48

Sorry for getting so upset. I can't believe I was feeling like not reading mumsnet anymore but the thread has improved with more skeptical debate and reasoned discussion. I am canadian and these conspiracy theories quickly were circulated to the shock of most. They are very popular in the US strangly enough but most find it repulsive. Canada had a strange reaction to 9/11 with people even saying things like" well, the americans deserved it because they have done so many bad things around the world". I am a cynic at heart and do not blindly believe anything, including conspiracy theories. Somethings defy common sense and I think it is an anti-american anti-government agenda driving it and we should nto encourage that kind of stuff. Anyway, enough from me. I can't believe how this thread upset me, I just keep remembering hte mother holding her 18 month old child as it crashed. There but for the grace of God.
