My uncle sent me this and thought it was an appropriate time to share it with you

The Truth?

OP posts:
ludaloo · 03/01/2007 12:03

mb...you are making my head hurt..

because a scientist said it could happen...doesn't mean it did...

Well of course not!!!!

but it still could of happened...right?

Other wise the scientist would of said "no..it couldn't of happened

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 12:04

jools, there is a heck of a difference in the amount of wreckage in a plane crash, and in the collapse of two of the largest buildings in the world. I don't even know if it would have been possible to take out every single bit of metal!

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 12:05

scientsist seldom say 'couldn't. It is a logical impossiility to show that something could never, ever happen! To have that sort of proof you have to do maths!

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 12:06

where at pap?

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 12:07

ludoo, but could happen and did happen are two very different things. You are taking a could and then basing a load of other stuff on that. And this is what always happens in a consipracy theory. Kind of like chinese wispers.

Beacsue it could wistant a light a/c flying into it, it might withstand a bigger a/c, but you can't base a futher theory on that.

Because aspirin cures a headache, it might cure a brain tumour.....would you want your treatment based on that sort of leap of faith?

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 12:08

ok then...where are the mathematicians???
I'll bet your bottom dollar there are some of them out there looking at the whole thing.

gggrrrrrrr I'll be up all night googling Mathematicians now won't I !!!

JanH · 03/01/2007 12:09

Well they couldn't anyway because it was shipped out of the country almost straight away - if the authorities had had any interest in discovering why the buildings collapsed (after all, it was always understood that they wouldn't, you'd think the people concerned would want to find out what caused the failure) they would have kept it.

See all this kind of thing is what makes people go "run that by me again, would you". Why were they in such a tearing hurry to get rid of what in normal circumstances would be the forensic evidence?

(And aloha hasn't discovered for us whether the FBI were really kept off the site by NYC, asclaimed by the FSC. If they were, that's another thing.)

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 12:09

Well, I wa nore thinking about a matamatical proof for a matamatical problem.

There are some wonderful maths in the link I posted that showed how the 'pancaking' would work.

My maths isn't up to analysing it.

JanH · 03/01/2007 12:10

When I say "almost straight away", obviously it took months to clear it all, but as it was cleared it was shipped, not stored.

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 12:11

ok...ok..mb...

If it is all based on could ofs.. why don't the US government put this all to rest to stop this madness...to stop these rumours..to stop my head hurting!! Why don't they release all the CCTV footage? Why didn't they allow significant testing..

I am talking to myself here aren't I

Papillon · 03/01/2007 12:14

I am from New Zealand, studied at Lincoln University in the South Island.

Jan I can see something coming out, but it has disintergrated.

JanH · 03/01/2007 12:14

No, I'm listening

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 12:15

well, maybe they thought it was all kind of obvious because thousands of people had seen two planes fly into the buildings, which then fell down. Oh and the 'mastermind' behind it released a tape saying what a good thing this was.

I could be wrong. bet I'm not though.

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 12:16

we are talking about a major event in history here..in a country big enough and important and wealthy and technologically minded enough to do proper research...to really be able to do this kind of thing.

If they truly had nothing to hide...why didn't they do this? Of what possible concequence is it to them to let it be investigated fully?

JanH · 03/01/2007 12:17

paps, if you do pause-play-pause-play-pause-play you can see an awful lot of "nose" coming through before the explosion - considering the plane has just been through 2 exterior walls, with all those steel uprights, it looks rather unmashed to me.

(One of the conspiracies says it's a missile)

ruty · 03/01/2007 12:17

ok, call me petty, call me a pedant, but it's Could have ludaloo, could have .

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 12:18

ludoo, after the JFK shooting, the theories started, and this led to the Warren comission,. Even after than people still stick to the consipracy theories. I honestly think that nothing would satisfy real die hard consipracy theorists.

An example would be 'My ds (6) has smashed a sim into a smaller building'

'Bet he wouldn't do that with a real plane tho'

'Well it was a real RAF simulator designed to simulate the real thing is as much detail as possible'

'silence'

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 12:19

oh mb...I rest my case......

"well, maybe they thought it was all kind of obvious because thousands of people had seen two planes fly into the buildings, which then fell down. "

AS LUDAS HEAD HITS THE KEYBOARD

Blandmum · 03/01/2007 12:19

jane, whete did the missile come from? All those people there, anyone say, 'Fuck me, that is a missile' Anyone filming it?

JoolsToo · 03/01/2007 12:19

well that's true mb but you'd have thought they'd have collected as much of the wreckage as feasible? Or maybe they did - but 200 pieces doesn't sound like much.

look at this here It's the Jeff King film again but with a bit before - wait to about 57 secs in where firefighters are talking about the collapse. It's only a tiny segment but interesting.

ludaloo · 03/01/2007 12:21

RRUUUUUUUUUUUTTTTTYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are not helping my head
