What a pair. Her endorsement speech yesterday was just bonkers - words just fail me when it comes to Donald Trump.

The scary thing is there is a bloody good chance of those two getting into the White House The thought of a Republican President always worries me.

Yeah Obama is pretty much wasting his time on his crusade against the gun lobby if Trump and Palin end getting into the White House. You'll also probably see the recent good relations between USA and Iran/Cuba thrown out the window too.

Several people have mentioned Palin getting into the White House. That won't happen. If Trump is the nominee, he will not choose her as his running mate. He will want someone with at least a small measure of credibility.

I hope Hilary wins but America will probably look to revert to a Republican President after 8 years of Obama and the Democracts. God those 8 years have gone quickly haven't they! Also USA have never had a female President but then again USA never had a black President before Obama. I'll miss Obama. He seems like a decent guy.

The closest plausible candidate to an old-school Republican is Clinton, given that Jeb! has had to try to squeeze unconvincingly into far right positions and has zero chance of being nominated at this stage. I would guess that a lot of the non-Koch brothers big money is going to gravitate to her rather than, say, Ted Cruz.

The Republicans have only won one presidential election since the end of the Cold War (not counting the one in 2000 which Gore would have won if the Supreme Court hadn't handed it to their mate's son) and that was when 'GWOT' was at maximum patriotric 'mission accomplished' volume, so no chance of any other outcome. Even than, and with an utterly useless Democrat candidate, Bush only won by 16 electoral college votes.

This is Clinton's election to lose.

I remember saying that I thought the US would vote for a black man over any woman during the race for the Democrat nomination 8 years ago. I'm not sure if there's been any significant change. They'd elect any man over any woman. Not sure how a female running mate would affect that though.

Just read elsewhere that Palin said recently that she believes that no US President should ever have to apologise for anything America does....Such arrogance is not a good recipe for a leader of such a powerful country

Palin was the running mate in 2008. In 2012, it was Paul Ryan, who is now the Speaker of the House.

Who knows... difficult to say as all those from the relatively sane wing of the Republican party are fighting tooth and nail to stop him. If he does get the nomination it might become clearer then.
