What a pair. Her endorsement speech yesterday was just bonkers - words just fail me when it comes to Donald Trump.

Is this the best America has to offer?

I have missed her from
An entertainment perspective...
Shrieking :"do you want a commander in chief who will kick ISIS's ass?" would be tremendous fun if it was not serious.

shebird · 21/01/2016 18:09

I agree, hilarious but troubling at the same time.

WRT Trump, I keep thinking back to George W Bush standing for re-election and how it seemed impossible that the electorate would want him for a second term - wrong! Trump is considerably worse than GWB to my mind, and adding Sarah Palin into the mix makes me think of the phrase "the lunatics have taken over the asylum". Please, please, please let common sense prevail.

QueenLaBeefah · 21/01/2016 18:59

I love how he is presenting himself as an outsider, a maverick yet he is rich because his dad left him a huge amount of cash. He is firmly of the elite.

VertigoNun · 21/01/2016 19:00

I thought I was watching a pair of impersonating comediens.

Out2pasture · 21/01/2016 19:02

What a pair is right, totally fun to watch from a distance.

scrappydappydoo · 21/01/2016 19:15

It would be funny if it wasn't so scary. Add the potential for Boris Johnson to be pm here and well ... there are no words.

VertigoNun · 21/01/2016 20:15

I am no fan of Cameron, I think we have a better devil in him than Johnson.

shebird · 21/01/2016 20:16

That's it exactly Queen, Trump is trying to portray himself as a self made man of the people and he is just as elite or even more than any of the politicians.

Americans seem to be buying into him though and it is very worrying. Sarah Palin was the last straw for me. It's like some bad spoof movie.

Us Canadians are getting ready to build a really big wall Grin

emotionsecho · 21/01/2016 20:25

Sarah Palin, her speech and manner came over as some grotesque parody, as someone else said it would be funny if it wasn't so serious.

All this about Donald Trump being a 'man of the people' is laughable, particularly when you look at the empire he has built (for use exclusively by the elite) and the way he has dealt with 'the little people' during the building of said empire.

Owllady · 21/01/2016 20:26

It is like a bad spoof movie! Bonkers

emotionsecho · 21/01/2016 20:27

Calla that's a ringing endorsementGrin.

shebird · 21/01/2016 20:29

I think Sarah Palin now seems to think she is Tina Fey.

Owllady · 21/01/2016 21:41

With the brain capacity of tina teaspoon

GingerCuddleMonsterThe2nd · 21/01/2016 21:45

But yes both are a nightmare and his polling figures arethe devils work....

ABetaDad1 · 21/01/2016 21:54

Trump is popular and he is an outsider because he is not backed by Wall Street and big business. He is to a certain extent self-made and he definitely doesn't owe anybody anything.

Sarah Palin I think voices an opinion many geographically and intellectually and financially 'middle' Americans.

I personally think Trump get popular backing and stands a very good chance of being President. If he does, then he may surprise as Ronald Reagan did. He will be restrained by Congress and by circumstances so will not in practice be able to implement his more extreme policy rhetoric.

Kreacherelf · 21/01/2016 21:59

They are their own parody.

MuttonCadet · 21/01/2016 22:02

I find the whole thing deeply disturbing.

claig · 21/01/2016 23:13

'Sarah Palin and Donald Trump'

The Dynamic Duo.

Rallies are unmissable. Auditoriums packed out, people eager to hear the truth.

Trump says that Elton John told him "you get the biggest crowds in the world for a guy without a guitar".

If he starts playing guitar, Gawd knows what will happen, it could be Beatlemania all over again, only bigger.

Very good thing for the American people.

DorynownotFloundering · 21/01/2016 23:21

Good god Claig, you been reading the Daily Fail again?

The man is a cliche a bigoted, self opinionated, arrogant fool.

He is despised by the majority of the US & Europe.

And I SERIOUSLY doubt Elton John would have lowered his standards that much !!

claig · 21/01/2016 23:25

'Good god Claig, you been reading the Daily Fail again?

The man is a cliche a bigoted, self opinionated, arrogant fool. '

That is what I read in the Daily Mail which is why I have temporarily stopped reading it until they come to their senses again.

'He is despised by the majority of the US & Europe political class

Yes, but not the majority of Republican voters in America or the majority of non-political hacks in Europe.

'And I SERIOUSLY doubt Elton John would have lowered his standards that much'

I heard it from Trump's mouth and he is not known for exaggeration or untruths.

7Days · 21/01/2016 23:28

But Elton John is a pianist
