I think it has started the of the tide; there are so many nationalities advocating for peace in the region - a just peace which will bring dignity for palestinians.

And there are initiatives uniting israeli and uk lawyers as they prepare to ask for reparations and action against israel for the damage from the latest attacks in international court. So a lot to be optimistic about.

SamG76 · 16/12/2014 21:46

labslondon - palestinians not entirely innocent. Their leader haj amin al husseini was an enthusiastic nazi sympathizer who spent most of the war in Berlin helping to set up a Bosnian SS division, as well as planning the Rashid Ali anti- british revolt in Iraq.

samg76 I could post the links where the jewish leadership ignored pleas from those in concentration camps because pursuing their ideal of israel had to come before mere humanity towards their own people.. you can google that info yourself. Maybe you could pick out the palestinians who are guilty of the crime above and punish them... whereas collective punishment of an entire race is disgusting and illegal. But I notice you don't care about that as you're interested in lumping a whole nation/ several generations together with your 'not entirely innocent' comment.

Coachbella · 16/12/2014 22:23

There's many a masked agenda on this forum isn't there it's quite clear that there are a good few people on here who's "anti Israel" stance in the new form of anti semitism .. And before you all go off on one with gasps and shocks ... Take a long hard look in the mirror I know your agenda , blaming "zionists" like its a dirty word .... For clarification a Zionist is someone who believes in the state of Israel and it's right to exist ... Not interested in listening to all the crap of "whose land" there are people oh here ( no doubt racist, anti feminists , anti everything) who are trying to deny history and re write it to suit their own agenda ... I for one will not fall for it

labslondon · 16/12/2014 22:31

It's not anti semitic to point out that semites (palestinians are also semites) are being persecuted on land confiscated by israel. Why do you deny the statements made by israeli pms (for which references have ben given) where they admit to running palestinians off palestinian land.

PigletInABlanketJohn · 16/12/2014 22:43

Coachbella

You claimed earlier that your family had been dispossessed of their home and not allowed back.

I think it is wicked and inhumane to seize someone's home and posessions and deny them the right to return.

Do you agree?

concheet · 16/12/2014 22:59

I really don't understand how people from the UK whose Asian youths are heading to ISIS in record numbers and whose children are being molested in towns like Rotherham to the tune of 1400! This is going on all over Europe and has been for years. This is OK with your Mums? The important thing is that Israel, the Jewish state is condemned for defending itself against a terror group whose very constitution demands Israel be destroyed and replaced with an Arab/Muslim state. Explain again how that is not antisemitic?

PigletInABlanketJohn · 16/12/2014 23:09

You have failed to identify the condemnation.

I am a Zionist. I believe that Israel has a right to exist. I also believe that Palestine has a right to exist.

You cannot deny me the right to criticise actions by the State of Israel when those actions are wicked and inhumane.

You are wrong to describe such criticism as antisemitic. It is anti-wicked and it is anti-inhumane.

"And that was a Party Political Broadcast for the British National Party."

Coachbella · 16/12/2014 23:14

I have morals and values which I try my best to install and extend to my daily life .... Your question however is far too generalised and whatever my reply you will jump all over it

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 16/12/2014 23:20

^Because you can't answer it coachbella.

PigletInABlanketJohn · 16/12/2014 23:20

So you do not condemn the stealing of homes and land, and the exile of people from their homeland, with no right to return.

I do.

Regardless of who the perpetrators are.

I see your dilemma.

labslondon · 16/12/2014 23:35

concheet 'people from the UK whose Asian youths are heading to ISIS in record numbers' - nobody I know
'and whose children are being molested in towns like Rotherham to the tune of 1400! ' - nobody I know
This is going on all over Europe and has been for years - really ?

Israel is a terrorist government posing as a legitimate government. Your anti asian/ muslim rants do not explain how to rectify that injustice.. nor do they have any sane logical argument in them. The 'hamas charter' people keep quoting was replaced many years ago and is redundant.. do at least read up to date israeli propaganda.....

QnBoudi · 16/12/2014 23:47

Seems to be more than 1 'chickenshit' on the diplomacy circuit: www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2014/12/israel-usa-washington-netanyahu-obama-veto-un-palestinians.html . Or is it a case of needs must? Still, the alternative appeal to the ICC is not a bad place to be headed. Allez, Europe!

Coachbella · 17/12/2014 00:04

Sabrina oh I can answer it ... You Haven't got a scooby doo of who I am, my beliefs, thoughts, opinions so do not judge me and tell me what I can or can't do ... I choose tonight to not share , gather my thoughts ( I've been up since 5 am) ... Didn't realise you were my brain tonight .... Muppet ...post something worth reading

PigletInABlanketJohn · 17/12/2014 00:09

Is this the same coachbella who claimed earlier to be able to identify posters as antisemites with an agenda?

What mysterious powers does s/he have which others lack?

Not a Scooby.

Coachbella · 17/12/2014 00:19

Yes absolutely you know why? Should I enlighten you or would you also like to tell me ?

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 17/12/2014 00:23

Coachbella: Choosing not to answer it = can't answer it without looking foolish/hypocritical. You know, I know it, anyone reading this knows it.

QnBoudi · 17/12/2014 00:23

Here's the view of an articulate, respected and educated druze citizen of Israel on racism and democracy in his state: www.haaretz.com/mobile.1.631993 . this quote summarises it: "the Arab MKs merely serve as a fig leaf that covers the nakedness of Israeli apartheid" ... "Arab participation in the elections serves Israel as a placebo - it soothes the Arab public, which is being forced into a corner - while also serving Israel's need to present itself overseas as a democratic country that grants its Arab citizens seats in parliament and the possibility of making their voices heard". Needless to say, these voices are only heard 'by the walls', and the Arabs are not ministers or in the cabinet. And as we've seen, they get suspended for actually standing up for their constituents.

Coachbella · 17/12/2014 00:28

Bold statement , rather indulgent more likely your opinion?

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 17/12/2014 00:32

I condemn those that stole Jewish houses/land/possessions in the holocaust. You?

NicciT78 · 17/12/2014 05:48

Anyone stating the Palestinians have no rights is being disingenuous at best, intentionally dishonest at worst. Palestinians who live in Israel have more rights than anyone in the rest of the M.E. Those who don't need to look to their own governments (Hamas, P.A, The other arab states who treat them as second class citizens) to give them full rights.

JDL1 · 17/12/2014 06:03

Its important to understand historical facts when attempting to understand the Israel / Arab conflict.
