fourlegstwolegs · 08/09/2014 17:00

So sweet. I wish I had a lovely husband to have a baby number two WITH :(

Heels99 · 08/09/2014 17:18

Am I the only one who doesn't like it when children are referred to by number #2?

Itsfab · 08/09/2014 17:34

Justine's comment on DM about "two or more under two years." How does that work then?

new born, 10 month old, 20 month old I guess Confused.

minipie · 08/09/2014 17:48

Or twins, obviously.

I hardly think Wills and Kate are going to "struggle to manage" 2 under 2, they have an army of staff (as well as a number of non-working or not-really-working friends and family members) to lend support.

PistolWhipped · 08/09/2014 18:09

I like children being referred to as 'number two' as they frequently behave like little turds.

LittleBearPad · 08/09/2014 18:10

Or triplets Shock

Brightbutchilly · 08/09/2014 18:13

Sir Chenjin

The thread has moved on since my post but my point was that the Downing St spin doctors were missing the mark if they thought most Scots would care sufficiently about a royal baby to have it influence their vote.

I am Scottish, I am aware we travel. Grin

MintyChops · 08/09/2014 18:24

Itsfab, a woman who worked with a friend of mine had twins one January then accidentally got pregnant again almost straight away and had her third that December. Can you IMAGINE having 3 under 1????

SirChenjin · 08/09/2014 18:34

I doubt that the spin doctors at Westminster have thought anything along those lines....

ArsenicFaceCream · 08/09/2014 18:38

I doubt that the spin doctors at Westminster have thought anything along those lines....

Of course not. The Queen's behind it

FrankelandFilly · 08/09/2014 18:40

I know of a local woman who was pregnant at her 6 week post natal check up. Twice Shock She had 3 under 20 months. Eek!

wellnowthenmardybum · 08/09/2014 19:26

I hope eastenders doesn't get interrupted so we can stare at door again

Brightbutchilly · 08/09/2014 19:37

So glad to hear it Sir Chenjin!

SirChenjin · 08/09/2014 19:48

The Queen's behind it

I agree. The Wales' weren't getting a pay rise unless they delivered the goods.

0pheliaBalls · 08/09/2014 19:55

Duchesse Grin

I don't want to see the royals lined up against the wall and shot. Moving them to a council estate and having them do minimum wage, zero hour contract jobs would be fine. We are all in this together, after all.

EverythingCounts · 08/09/2014 20:06

Pleased for them. I genuinely wouldn't want their lives, and much of what they do must be pretty predictable and constrained, however expensive or glamorous it may also be. Kids bring joy and unpredictability into your life which can be a problem if you're on the breadline, but will (hopefully) be a breath of fresh air for them.

In response to the 'how many will they have?' thought - without the HG I would imagine they'd have more than 2. I can see them doing what the Queen and Philip did and having two close together then waiting a few years before having a third and maybe a fourth. However, given that the HG is so bad for her and that she's fulfilled people's expectations in having two, I can also see how they'd stop there.

I'm on to DC4 despite vomiting my way through them all! If anything this time has been the easiest with no admissions for fluids.

squoosh · 08/09/2014 20:39

I can't bear being ill so can't imagine how grotty having HG must be. You must really love those little scamps of yours Dino.

In a genuine way rather than a Peter Andre way!

SantanaLopez · 08/09/2014 20:42

Lovely news, although HG sounds miserable.

guinnessgirl · 08/09/2014 20:54

Oh my days. Just popped into the thread to see what others were saying about the news... now crying with laughter at all the Salmond talk! squoosh, you are now officially my Funniest MNer Grin

fallon8 · 08/09/2014 22:31

She only had about three things to do this year,,one if them a trip to Malta,,surely, willy could have kept his willy covered until she got back..it will be the same as usual.."Kate past exhaustion". Doesn't take much to make her "exhausted". And as for the " 2under2". She is hardly likely to look after them herself..already I have read, there will 2 nurseries...so, yes it's nice news, but I'm in overload already

fallon8 · 08/09/2014 22:34

Everything counts...the reason why Queenie had 2 late ones,is Phil the Greek had been messing about with a night club singer,so, the last 2 were produced to scotch rumours.

DinoSnores · 08/09/2014 23:00

squoosh, Grin. Your Alec Salmond chat was just adding to the nausea but you have redeemed yourself. I do indeed love my children lots, even if I can't reach the heights of Peter Andre's love for his.
