Lovely news to wake up to today!

hi everyone,

I am a new member on mumsnet with baby#5 on the way. So happy with news of pregnancy but unfortunately like kate I too am hooked up on iv's and anti vomiting meds as i type this msg becos i suffer from hyperemesis gravidarum. I am 8 weeks pregnant and was admitted for severe vomiting plus extremely low pressure due to dehydration, :( (it sucks) My due date 30 april 2015. This will be my last baby ;)

Well that's very nice for them, but I can't help feeling a bit "woman I've never met is pregnant again" about it.

And rather :( for my friend and her DH who are going to the GP tomorrow to discuss the results of their fertility tests.

(and for anyone who is struggling with fertility issues because this will mean baby talk is increased everywhere for months)

I had IVF twice. Baby talk is bloody everywhere even when Kate isn't pregnant.

What CruCri said. It took me 3 years to conceive DD (now 6 months) and there is always baby stuff in the news and all around you.

cakes, it is all around anyway. I found after losing DD1 that all the news stories I saw were about pregnant women and that I was surrounded by pregnant women (I didn't find babies as hard curiously). I seem to time my babies each time at the same time as Z-list celebrities, one of whom was due at the same time as DD1 should have been born so I did struggle with that.

I guess I've never really thought about it from that perspective before, as I've never known anyone having fertility problems until now (obviously I probably have, just not people close enough to want to tell me).

As one of them myself, it is totally shit. Baby baby baby talk everywhere. We were TTC for four years, two failed rounds of IUI and 1 failed round of IVI. I lost heart after that. I am not one of those women who can keeping putting myself through it. The whole IVF experience was horrific (for me, not for everyone). In that time, I was involved in numerous TTC groups on MN, and most of them have had two in the time and the ones who had fertility treatment, it worked 1st time for.

It's a very lonely experience, but I've just had to learnt to deal with it, and I'm still on MN because I sometimes enjoy the craic and getting into ridiculous bunfights about wedding lists and the like.

hester I remember you from various TTC boards, I am so sorry about the experience you have had, it sucks big time.

For some reason K mid pregnancy news annoys me, I know its irrational, I am genuinely happy for friends who get preggers!
