I doubt she's 12 weeks - they announced early last time cos of the HG I think?

I bet she has my due date. Bah. Am a bit annoyed in case she steals my name ideas no chance

Meglet · 08/09/2014 10:54

I assume she isn't 12 weeks yet because they've announced she has HG again Sad. So it must be fairly early days?

HG is wretched. Just thinking about it sets my gag reflex twitching .

DinoSnores · 08/09/2014 10:55

I'd guess that it is another early announcement as they've not given an indication of the due date but because it saves the gossip of "is she, isn't she?" when she didn't turn up on today's engagement.

She is supposed to be doing her first solo trip to Malta in a fortnight, which might be a struggle with HG, so I guess they didn't know she was pregnant when that was announced in July.

ToniWol · 08/09/2014 10:55

Didn't they announce before 12 weeks last time due to the HG?

I hope all goes well for her. I have a soft spot for the couple after they caused us to have a Bank Hol for our 5th Wedding Anniversary.

VenusRising · 08/09/2014 10:56

I knew she was as well Imperial, as she was doing that "holding her clutch bag close to her womb" thing again in all recent photos.

Wonder what Harry will do now? I think he should pack up and go and live in Africa with his old flame, if she'd have him back, that is!

Gender prediction is a girl, name, Maud.
(Or Phillip if its a boy)

I don't think having another baby is going to stop voters in Scotland voting with their feet, but it's good to have a spare heir I suppose.

BreeVDKamp · 08/09/2014 10:56

Woooooow how exciting!!!

Rainicorn · 08/09/2014 10:57

Lovely news. Shame about the HG.

frankie80 · 08/09/2014 10:57

she will struggle in Malta's heat if she's feeling that sick :(

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 08/09/2014 10:58

squoosh I think you're enjoying yourself there Grin

CKDexterHaven · 08/09/2014 11:00

I don't think the conception was inspired by the referendum but I do think the timing of the announcement is definitely politically motivated. Maybe I've watched too much of The Thick of It and Yes, Minister.

RubbishRobotFromTheDawnOfTime · 08/09/2014 11:03

We can still get weekend access to the bairns after independence, take them to McDonalds at Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Pandora37 · 08/09/2014 11:10

Poor Kate, HG is horrid.

I had a dream ages ago that their second baby was a girl they called Alice. I was convinced last time she would have a boy called George so we'll see if I'm right again. Mind you, I also once dreamt that Kate and William competed on Strictly so my dreams may be a load of rubbish Grin.

TheFairyCaravan · 08/09/2014 11:13

Apparently, she's not yet 12 weeks but they had to announce it early again to avoid speculation due to her pulling out of the engagement today. That is what a Royal Correspondent said on This Morning.

Mrsjayy · 08/09/2014 11:14

sqoosh its started they have just been talking about the line of succession and wondering where conception took place as she was seen drinking wine at some function or other a few months ago Hmm anyway a new baby is lovely hope th e duchess feels better soon feeling and being constantly sick its awful.

Union of the crowns happened before union of the parliaments and you could argue that they current royal family are more Scottish (thanks to the Queen Mum) than they are English. In other words, I don't think the announcement will have any effect on the the referendum result at all.

CulturalBear · 08/09/2014 11:21

Yay! And kicks broodiness into another gear.

Prince George is 13 and a half months (DS born day after).

Last time she was about ten/11 weeks when they announced - I was 8/9 weeks and George was a couple of weeks late. So... around the first week of May by my calculations. Would have conceived within a month of George's first birthday.

Actually a little jealous. But very pleased for her, albeit sympathetic for the HG. Hopefully the media frenzy won't be quite so extreme this time round...

squoosh · 08/09/2014 11:24

Twitter says that Alex Salmond is soon to announce that he's pregnant with twins. Wink

WhatWouldCaitlinDo · 08/09/2014 11:26

So if she's not 12 weeks, which sounds likely, she's probably due mid to late April, or at the latest early May. So just under a 2 year age gap.

Bet she will have to cancel the trip to Malta. Pity, I love Malta and was looking forward to the pix of her over there.

SirChenjin · 08/09/2014 11:31

Eeeuuuuwwww squoosh - I was enjoying reading these posts until I got to yours. Now I can't get the mental image of that slimey wee toad Alex DTD out of my head

Very pleased for them both Smile

VenusRising · 08/09/2014 11:31

Squoosh Wink

WhereHas1999DissappearedToo · 08/09/2014 11:31

Congratulations to Kate and William, DD burst into my room just before at 10:30pm here screaming the news, when I just got into bed, I thought it was something really important. You can tell she's a Royalist I don't really care if they did it to save the Union as I no longer live in the UKGrin

tobiasfunke · 08/09/2014 11:35

We can still get weekend access to the bairns after independence, take them to McDonalds at Berwick-upon-Tweed.

This made my day. Grin

Idontseeanysontarans · 08/09/2014 11:37

Well congrats to them, shame she's got HG again, maybe there'll be a bit more understanding this time round rather than it being dismissed as 'bad morning sickness', not that hopeful though. The BBC are currently reporting it as Very Acute Morning Sickness - surely it's a damn sight more than that?
They can't win really, the speculation about the second child began weeks after George was born iirc but if she didn't produce one at all she'd get talked about for that as well - and it would be her not him that got it..

ArsenicFaceCream · 08/09/2014 11:40

No due date confirmed, but assume she's at least 12 weeks so probably March-ish.

No. I bet later. They've announced early to try to save the union.

I wonder what it feels like to have a political womb?

And I wonder if Ladbrokes will give me odds on a April arrival?
