Sorry, but my children bore me to death!

Not meaning to start a major debate here (that already seems to be happening on the articles own board), just thought it was quite well written and touching on one of the things 'us bad mums' don't dare bring up... imho she's a bit extreme in her attitude but simultaneously have to admit that I have had some of the thoughts myself at times

just seen a bit about this article in the current Private Eye - apparently the same journo wrote last year "I can never get over how celebs talk about discipline when you know they have two full-time nannies, and the mother is never at home anyway. The more time you spend with your children, the better they behave. As soon as I got rid of my last nanny, my boys practically started to purr"

Apparently she's written 46 articles in the last 6 years about little Constantin and Ivan and their string of nannies.

Not read the whole thread, but DH was on about this last week I think. I can't for the life of me understand how anyone can find their children 'boring'.

Infuriating, astonishing, wonderful, on occasion irritating but never boring. No two minutes are the same, you never know what sort of day/minute/hour you're going to get, so how can that be boring.

Stupid woman.

Haven't read the article but heard her on the radio. What you put in you get out, basically is my opinion. She doesn't seem to contribute much and get's it in return. If she's board she can't really blame her kids.
