barley water is usually really good if you are ill or need a good detox, you get the Robinsons lemon/orange barley stuff that my mother used to give us when we fell ill with childhood ailments (not from birth dear god).

And I also don't do the honey only from a year and not before, I meant for a newborn the formula concocted by hubbard is nuts, and look at the proportions, do these children have any of their own teeth by the end of it all??

NotQuiteCockney · 30/03/2006 11:36

It's a sugary drink, then?

Just to test, I did a google for "fake pregnancy", something about \link{http://www.perezhilton.com/topics/katie_holmes/katie_holmes_tries_to_silence_the_fake_pregnancy_rumors_20060202.php\KH} came up at number 6.

I'm not convinced it's a fake pregnancy, I just like the theory. Especially the fact they bought their own frigging sonogram! How hard are they trying to convince everyone it's real?

lucy5 · 30/03/2006 11:37

This is geeting weirder and more alarming by the minute!

lucy5 · 30/03/2006 11:38

See Ive even adpted a Texan drawl, oops, getting!

Callisto · 30/03/2006 11:38

"L. Ron Hubbard believed that tit size is important for breast feeding,". ???

fuzzywuzzy · 30/03/2006 11:39

actual barley water isn't sugary, the sugar is added after, it's made from ermmm barley (funnily enough), my inlaws boil the barley and drink the water if one of them is ill, apparantly it tastes horrible, and they were very impressed with the robinsons fare.....

ruty · 30/03/2006 11:39

i would have thought that button under the crotch unitard would be really uncomfortable when pregnant..

fuzzywuzzy · 30/03/2006 11:40

Hubbard probably wasn't bf as child himself, and is decided to take it out on the worlds children.....

lucy5 · 30/03/2006 11:41

Oh, now I see it, we should feed babies on barley water, because that's what Roman legionnaires marched on. Of course.

lucy5 · 30/03/2006 12:21

Has he got custody of his existing kids?

Uwila · 30/03/2006 12:31

Think TC has shared custody. Do you thinkNicole gave into these things. I know that since the divorce she has gone back to attending Catholic church.

PinkTulips · 30/03/2006 12:44

poor nicole re; the comment 'of course nicole has contact with the children, but their real family is their dad and Katie' wonder what she'd say to that?

why don't these freaks even allow formula? am a b-feeding nut myself, but at least these days formula is a close second, why do they not even allow that? is it more of the punishing the babies crap?

beansprout · 30/03/2006 13:10

We all know that anyone who hasn't given birth knows fk all about it. End of. Why do men think they know everything? Why is it so hard for them to say "actually, if I stop and think about it, I really don't have the first clue about what it must be like to give birth so I am really not in a position to tell you what to do"???

MadamePlatypus · 30/03/2006 13:31

I think the separation at birth just seems really dated. I imagine that back in the days when it was assumed that everybody would bottle feed (30? 40? years ago), babies were probably whisked off to the nursery for their 4 hourly feeds so that the mother could have a rest. Obviously L Ron Hubbard knows as much about colostrum and establishing breast feeding as I do about being an astronaut.

expatinscotland · 30/03/2006 13:32

I thought L Ron was dead.

Do Scientologists believe in hell? :o

Kathy1972 · 30/03/2006 13:34

Beansprout - most of the men I know - the nice, reasonable majority - think exactly that, ie "I really don't have the first clue about what it must be like to give birth so I am really not in a position to tell you what to do"

Some of the unreasonable ones (L Ron Hubbard and Tom Cruise are pretty good examples) are very vocal though..... Sad

beansprout · 30/03/2006 13:41

You are right Kathy, it's me that's being a bit unreasonable. Dh is in the entirely reasonable brigade too. But boy, when they are unreasonable, they really go to town...!! Grin

Kathy1972 · 30/03/2006 13:43

TC is an arse.
I know it's been said before, but it is worth repeating.
Grin

leogaela · 30/03/2006 14:54

Kama - where does that article come from?

intergalacticwalrus · 30/03/2006 15:09

Don't normally contribute to religion type threads, but as my name is the result of a, quite frankly bizarre, discussion on this crock of kack they call Scientology, I thought I'd add my well thought out and eloquent opinions.

Scientology is a big steaming pile of horse shit.

Tom Cruise is a bell end

And if someone had told me to be silent in labour, I would have kicked them in the gonads.
