Swish through September 2019 with the fledglings - Flylady thread

Let's swish and swipe our way through September, decluttering as we go with the Flylady! We have a mix of old and new fledglings and everyone is welcome to join us for chat and motivation. Thanks to Stressy for running a fabulous August thread!

The Flylady Launch Pad is the place to start each day - each week focuses on a different zone of the house to clean if you have decluttered it first (can't clean clutter) and you can also follow the Babysteps if you'd like to introduce one new element each day and build on that.

If you like to plan in advance, the weekly Sneak Peek will give you advance notice of the missions and zone coming up, it changes each weekend.

The monthly focus for September is making the bed.

I've a lump in my throat thinking of all the little ones heading off to school. I love September even though it's going to get very dark early here soon.

Laundry and dust here. And no dinner.

Laundry...I've done 6loads today and it's made a dent but I'm still looking at least two more piles.there has to be either a) a laundry breeding program in place I'm not privacy to or b) there are people living here I've not met.....

Made chocolate banana loaf with ds
,Smells are wafting invitingly from the kitchen
Researched some ideas for year 9 learning for ds-determined start something tomorrow!!

Hope everyone's having a good day

I had extra laundry to do today, apparently as James went to step into the school door a bird crapped all over his jumper, bag & shoes - all thrown in the washer and houng they dry out for the morning Shock

Not much else done housework wise ,
all kids went to school ok,
got a load of washing done and out, dd2's nursery visit went well - she instinctively gave all the teachers a cuddle so I'm hoping she'll be ok when she goes on Friday Confused
Went into town to finish getting dd1's presents for tomorrow , cards and wrapping paper
Picked ds up
Gave them all snacks
Took dd1 to the hairdressers for a wash, cut and blow dry as a birthday treat
We've had a cheat chippy tea

I've still got to label tomorrow's uniform, wrap presents and get siblings to write cards but I would really like to just sit with a g&t !!

Absolutely shattered. Had a staff meeting too. Went to the Range again. Gathered some samples of wallpaper.Wink which might find its way on to a display board. Off to bed now. No flying. Been cutting letters out for boards. Dinner was new potatoes and duck in plum sauce. Night. Will catch up at the weekend.

Happy birthday little fox !!

Ta da
Dd1 opened presents, mostly stranger things merchandise- I've never seen someone so excited over a pen and a bookmark!!
Older 2 off to school
Living room tidied
Wash is on

Popping out to fetch a loaded cookie that dd1 requested rather than a cake , need to track down ds football kit for his match later and do some general chores. Tired today though, I was up being ill last night (hormones are lovely aren't they !) so I'm taking it slow because dd's friend will be round later for pizza and stranger things monopoly game !

Parties are not cheap, Foxes!

So many first days at school. I did notice that Tesco were putting out their Christmas stock after I dropped my DD off yesterday! How was your first day back, was it so bad that you need a chocolate Santa by any chance? No, thought not.

Hope the birthday girl and boy had a lovely day, it is so exciting at that age.

I cleared out a lot of plastic tat from DD's room today, and a lot of it was - shamefully - still in the wrapper happy meal items and she was fine about letting it go. Still a long way to go, but it has helped. Probably also procrastinating about applying for jobs!

I've had a great day thanks.lefr pe kit then took someone else's by mistake sorted yesterday tho(think "grace" grabbed purple pe bag without checking the name burst least had decency return it!over £50 pe kit I was slightly hyperventilating til it's safe return!)had two simple bits homework so far.and is exhausted and asleep before 9pm so that's a added bonus!how did D's get on?

Camhs with ds yesterday "d"p appeared which was awkward and stressful

Dd2 has orthodontist today so will have to go get her later and return after.the only downside of having nature reserve to cross is can be very quiet and I'm a big fretter about them crossing it individually...

PE kit is the number one item to go astray at secondary, IME! And it's not cheap, as you say. Hope the orthodontist goes well zoo

I need to finish a job application, and I have a hair appointment at lunchtime. I should swish back into the thread later must stay away from t'internet

I'm in the middle of my second office move in 5 weeks. I've boxes and boxes of stock to bring with me or to move into store so I'm going home to wine later. Just taking a quick break.

Had blood pressure check, high due to white coat syndrome. Ambulatory one usually fine. Probably due to the moves.
Also blood test.

Back in work now. Wing flaps to all. No home flying done.

Evening fledglings! I have managed to complete an application form for a job today, realised how unimpressive my working life looks on paper - will have to perfect a powerful cover letter and personal statement! DD is tired and has stomach cramps so have deployed a heat pack and calpol tonight

zoo my DD is still on flexible wires ATM, the next appointment will start with the rigid wires to move the teeth and I have a horrible feeling it will hurt more. Painkillers will be the order of the day, I think. Hope the CAMHS went OK.

stressy do you have a weekend to yourselves - lovely!

Lisette office moves are not fun. We moved buildings once, it was horrendous! The packing took weeks.

Links for Saturday - Launch Pad and before bed routine babystep

I will be back tomorrow morning, but for now Wine and sleep well, fledglings!
