Swish through September 2019 with the fledglings - Flylady thread

ChicCroissant · 30/08/2019 13:40

Let's swish and swipe our way through September, decluttering as we go with the Flylady! We have a mix of old and new fledglings and everyone is welcome to join us for chat and motivation. Thanks to Stressy for running a fabulous August thread!

The Flylady Launch Pad is the place to start each day - each week focuses on a different zone of the house to clean if you have decluttered it first (can't clean clutter) and you can also follow the Babysteps if you'd like to introduce one new element each day and build on that.

If you like to plan in advance, the weekly Sneak Peek will give you advance notice of the missions and zone coming up, it changes each weekend.

The monthly focus for September is making the bed.

Good luck with the panic cleaning zoo and the quick tea stressy - all our stuff starts again this week, I though we'd manage to drop one activity but a new potential one has popped up in it's place instead Hmm Will do the school run and catch up again this evening.

That's lovely - new baby and SC back.

Trouble with the move because the council have used the wrong type of concrete on the street outside my building so truck has to be around the corner for the move so drafting more help in.

Report
Lisette1940 · 09/09/2019 18:21

Concrete is still drying on newly repaired street.

Just popping in too, lovely to hear from you SC.

I had a week of staycation last week which was absolutely lovely (my DCs were still off till this week), so lie-ins, time at the allotment, catching up on the chores and afternoons out with the DCs were the order of the day. Now headfirst back into term time

Just off to clean out stinky litter trays Sad

ChicCroissant · 09/09/2019 23:23

Ugh, you don't want to be carrying the heavy stuff further than needed Lisette, a bad time for the wrong type of concrete! Hope you got the move done.

Waves to Expletive, I am also struggling to get back into the swing of things.

Laputa, hope you are doing OK as well.

Links to Launch Pad and Babystep about using timer and we are in the Kitchen Zone this week.

Ive I was hoping to find baby news - congratulations!!! ThanksBrewBear!! Enjoy those newborn snuggles!!

Thanks bower , I'm doing ok, dd1's birthday weekend has been a big distraction aswell as dd2 starting nursery, but I'm coming to the grim reality that I need to sort an outfit out for the funeral on Thursday . My mum has also got a meeting with her oncologist the same day, so I'm really hoping there's some good news somewhere .

Zoo how did the party go? I cleaned my living room yesterday to find crisps and popcorn in the oddest of places - I'm guessing dd1's sleepover involved some sort of food fight haha at least they attempted to clear the majority up !

Listelle I'm waiting for my bank balance to settle then I'll be buying Gemma's book - is it good ?

Dd2 full session at nursery this morning , there were no tears on Friday for the shorter session on her own so I'm really hoping she'll be ok. She clambered into our bed at 4 this morning and struggled to settle back down (she fell back to sleep eventually) I'm hoping this doesn't make her super tired and upset Confused. I did plan to do so much once she started nursery - but I've booked myself in at the hairdressers this morning instead Grin.

Ta da
A full hot cup of coffee drank bracing myself for getting 3 kids washed , fed and off to school by 810!!

Waves to everyone else and passes the Brew to anyone that needs it this morning!

Speaking of England/UK wtf is happening to our Parliament? Shock

Good luck with your busy weeks everyone!

Waves frantically back to all Fledglings including all newcomers añd baby I've!

I think the House is even more chaotic than mine at the moment SC. I went to bed relatively early and awoke to descriptions of Jerusalem and Bread of Heaven being sung.

My back is twitchy atm so I'm not lifting anything. Doing stretches to combat stiffness. Everything boxed though.

I enjoyed the book. You can get a lot if it online but I like having the routines in one place. And she writes well. Christmas countdown is good too.

SC how lovely to hear from you. Give DH a big hug from me. I do miss having a horse.
I've hope everything is going ok lovely snuggles with newborn once you have the others where they should be.
Tidy Great idea about hairdressers some me time is allowed.
zoo hope it goes well today. You got masses done yesterday, slinks off to naughty corner. I was going to put awash on but discovered a wet one in there from Sat/Sun. I had put some out but by the time I came home on Sunday the Darkness had set in and I wasn't going down to retrieve it when it had been darkened on. Also probably fall over something as I don't know where the torch is as we haven't needed it until now. Dark by 8:30 /9pm up here.
You ok ED and Laputa missing you.
Well a much awaited day off. I was so tired last week I went to sleep on my afternoon off. New Head is lovely really on the ball and will i am sure make a difference. My heart has gone out of the job so still wishing I had handed my notice in. Just so many others were doing it I felt I couldn't. I am going to give it until half term and see if I feel any better. Getting on ok and had a lovely art lesson yesterday.
Need to crack on and get some jobs done.

Power of 3
Clean chicken out. Found out where to get some more.
Wash kitchen floor washing out and new load in.

Will pop back in later. Leaves French toast in naughty corner.

Just nipped back in to change as started the day off in frosty field as soon as it was light wearing winter jeans, neck scarf, woolly top, muck boots and gilet. Now in glorious sunshine wearing shorts, clogs and t-shirt, necking water! It's unexpectedly glorious weather here!

Will do Bower thank you. Smile. (Leaves corn for hens). (Dhorse looking a bit odd at the moment as farmer got to knot in his beautiful mane before I got there with baby oil and it looks as though a two year old has gone mad with paper scissors. SadThink I may have to hog the lot! Sad) Ohhhhh exciting that HennyPenny is going to have some feathery friends Grin. And so glad new head good! Thank heavens!

Your staycation (with allotment visits thrown in ) sounds totally fab Expletive!

Wash it out. Is it a local thing do you mean plaited in one of the long plaits from head to wither?

Three done. Floor looks so much better and new mop better this time. I used hot water and the stuff they sell with it mixed. Lovely and clean.

Hen mucky must be a bit of rain getting in to where she poops. Need to get some cover for hen house.

Washing out. Did a few more little jobs, watering plants etc. Lost shed key need ironing board in the damn shed. my dinner is in the freezer hmm.

Bower no, sorry, terrible grammar! Farmer got there with scissors before me (I was armed with the shampoo and baby oil but too late). There is a massive rectangle of mane missing. He just went chop up and chop across Sad. The French sometimes do that all in one plait thing (usually with Irish cobs) but they tend to leave them "au naturel" here! In this instance, rather too much! Classic example of lack of clarity over who is responsible for what and when!

SC oh no,poor DH(orse)
bethe still very handsome tho

Most pointless meeting in history of box ticking.school turned up ask how summer was(D's hates heat, never went far as can't do noise)seemed pleased to announce how many days til October half term.then leftConfused

Drama this afternoon my girls cross nature reserve to get to school.they pass thru a gate that leads to a road uphill.secondary at bottom, primary school at top with few shops and crossroads with traffic lights
Massive accident there at lunchtime(89yr old man diedSad) main road closed(so no access via road to schools) til almost pick up.school buses parked other side of nature reserve to collect students.let out was carnage.all walkers/pick up in cars directed out back gates to head towards Morrison's carpark(parents in cars told to go wait there) unfortunately lil zoo didn't know how to get back to front of school where I meet her and rang me from friends phone saying wasn't allowed out front(try limit kids accessing accident site as police forensics on scene) I had to talk to a teacher on her phone then wait her to be escorted out front....
In other news dd2 ex tutor(now head year) walked some bus kids to wait buses and as we were walking home he was head back to school and stop me saying had noticed dd2 low scores in maths GCSE and was I interested extra help?YES!!!he's going to see what's available(or else be £35 an hour online)

About cook dinner-
Cod in parsley sauce, pasta, cauliflower and broccoli.baked apple for pud
Dd2 having stuffing with nut butter added burger with sweet potato wedges and roasted cauli, broccoli and squash(I having veg sausage with wedges and veg)

Hope everyone's ok.xx
