Swish through September 2019 with the fledglings - Flylady thread

ChicCroissant · 30/08/2019 13:40

Let's swish and swipe our way through September, decluttering as we go with the Flylady! We have a mix of old and new fledglings and everyone is welcome to join us for chat and motivation. Thanks to Stressy for running a fabulous August thread!

The Flylady Launch Pad is the place to start each day - each week focuses on a different zone of the house to clean if you have decluttered it first (can't clean clutter) and you can also follow the Babysteps if you'd like to introduce one new element each day and build on that.

If you like to plan in advance, the weekly Sneak Peek will give you advance notice of the missions and zone coming up, it changes each weekend.

The monthly focus for September is making the bed.

Oh Tidy so sorry to hear that. We have lost a lovely man at church. He had SEN but was the happiest man I have ever met in my whole life. He lost his fight with leukaemia which he has had for about five years. He used to take the offertory bag every week. He was such a character.

Sorry for your children too and DH. Cancer is such an awful thing. Give yourself and your family a bit of TLC this week. It will be a difficult time for you all.l

Thankyou for the condolences everyone, knowing that it was going to happen didn't make it any easier, knowing that we're going to have to go through it again with my mum is heartbreaking.

Foxes my dd shares the same birthday as your ds and is 13 on Thursday ! I still haven't decided how we'll be celebrating - ds has a football match but I don't think k she would class that as a birthday surprise Grin

Last day of the holidays today, I think I'm going to get everyone washed and dressed, take them into town to visit their favourite cafe for a milkshake and cupcake , we always go in the holidays but haven't had chance this time. Also need to get the uniforms labelled and ironed, bags packed and some washing. I'm following the bare basic flylady routine but no decluttering, going to spend it with the kiddies.

I've hoping that this means that things are starting for you! Fingers crossed!!

Don't laugh I've but I read it as 'up since five camping' and passed over the comment. I hope baby is on the way.

We've had ds's virus since yesterday so this is the second day of a high temp for me. I'm not exactly with it so the out of office sign is on for work and I'm going back to bed to try to shake it.

I will be lurking for baby news 😀

I also read it as camping Grin. Best of luck if this is it Ive.

Hope you feel better soon Lisette.

That sounds like a lovely idea for the last day of the holidays Tidy.

Sorry to hear about your loss too Bower. Life is cruel.

We go back Wednesday as well. Have a friend here for a play date. It’s not going well as DD2 is refusing to play (it’s her friend Hmm). Have left them to it in the hope things resolve but will go back in a few minutes and intervene.

No, camping's not me either. I do like the idea of bothies in the Scottish Highlands that you can use on a walk for free. Current idle fantasy is a little cottage holiday by the sea. I must have lived in a country with bears in a previous life - perhaps that's how I met my end....😆

Camping's not for me either.i love hot water and flushing toilets/creature comforts too much.plus lil zoo terrified spiders and moths and none of mine like bees/wasps etc

I've I'm really hoping this is it for you lovely.glad weathers cooler for you too

Dd2 shared my aunt(now deceased) and her cousins birthday.she was 9 days later than due date to achieve that

Tada
More painting in D's room.im run out if green paint-its looking very light and airy now,but white could do another coat tbh.i cleared up then D's and I had a massive sort thru his things which took best part 3hours.hes not good with change/getting rid of things so I gave him a choices of do you love it or need it if not get rid.he let go 2carrier bag fills of drawings/writing.one of small school uniform and couple toys/books and we had couple bags for the bin of broken things he's accepted can go.so proud of himSmilewe went straight to chazza and dump the donations in case rifled back in changing his mind!!he now has enough room to show case some of his favourite stones/geodes❤️I can't wait to have funds for the blinds, shelves and new storage/furniture.its going to be gorgeous!!

Kitchen has been wiped over, floors swept and windows cleaned

Bathroom wiped over and floor swept, windows cleaned

Fourth load wash just gone on

Now going help girls sort out the stationery for their bags then I think will get some games out

Inspired by Zoo I'm off to tidy up. Just a quick spruce, no intensive flying. A bit of a glide. I think I'll feel much better when things are in order.

Ive ThanksCake I was hoping to come back on to see baby news , baby can't stay in there forever , hoping baby decides its eviction day soon.

Took the kids for lunch, then went to our local country park, walked around the countryside all afternoon, laughed with them all afternoon, it was a breath of fresh air - literally Grin. It does mean I have only labelled tomorrow's clothes and we aren't as organised for the first day of school but it'll be fine.
I am not looking forward to that 6am alarm ! !

IVE Flowers they may give you a sweep on your due date at the appointment (voice of experience).

Sorry, forgot to post the link last night Blush

Good luck to all the junior fledglings starting or going back to school today

Link to the Launch Pad for Tuesday, Babystep 3 is to explore the website Because of the number of emails you get, we would urge caution before signing up to the emails.

Need to go stationery shopping today for DD, but got enough uniform. shoes etc (still haven't managed to get any new blouses in the next size up but she does fit the old ones) so hoping for a fun day before she goes back.

Catch you later, fledglings!
