Swish through September 2019 with the fledglings - Flylady thread

Let's swish and swipe our way through September, decluttering as we go with the Flylady! We have a mix of old and new fledglings and everyone is welcome to join us for chat and motivation. Thanks to Stressy for running a fabulous August thread!

The Flylady Launch Pad is the place to start each day - each week focuses on a different zone of the house to clean if you have decluttered it first (can't clean clutter) and you can also follow the Babysteps if you'd like to introduce one new element each day and build on that.

If you like to plan in advance, the weekly Sneak Peek will give you advance notice of the missions and zone coming up, it changes each weekend.

The monthly focus for September is making the bed.

Morning everyone!

Good luck with the workmen zoo !

Ta da
Everyone up , fed, washed, dressed and at school/work.
Wash done and out on the line
Another load in
Beds made
Dishwasher emptied
Breakfast pots sorted
Any dry clothes put away
Tackled a pile of clothes in my bedroom that's been there for ages

About to tackle the paperwork on the kitchen side but had to have a 2nd breakfast because I'm absolutely starving today (thanks Mother Nature for adding hunger to the long list of pms symptoms 🙄) I've got an hour until I pick dd2 from nursery , hoping I can get that kitchen side paperwork cleared and filed before picking her up !

zoo, yes I suppose that’s what this thread is really isn’t it - sharing our lives Smile. With constant attempts at housework Grin.

Speaking of, I’m going to do a power hour.

ChicCroissant · 30/09/2019 10:22

I was running the thread when Cagletini arrived, I must have been on here longer than I thought!

Morning ladies. I need to do a power week, not a power hour! Will step away from the internet reading for a bit and crack on. Catch you at lunchtime Cake

yes I suppose that’s what this thread is really isn’t it - sharing our lives smile. With constant attempts at housework Grin. Aye too right Toostressy and Zoo! Grin That would make a good thread title too but dont want to encourage more snoopers than necess! ! Wink

Solitarycaddis · 30/09/2019 12:18

Have started deep clean. Kitchen is very rustic and diificult. Hate the way dh treats a sink, a fridge and a bin. Why do men always let bins get so full that emptying it turns in to an awful job, necessitating cleaning of inside of lid etc? Bloody hate it!

Solitarycaddis · 30/09/2019 14:00

Have been wielding the Dettox!

Ta da:
scrubbed out fridge
scrubbed kitchen bin and lid
scrubbed lads
did something unspeakable involving septic tank
did something unspeakable involving dog

Solitarycaddis · 30/09/2019 14:00

Scrubbed lavs not lads Grin

Have crossed some items off the list for once although my success in some areas has meant more tasks for tomorrow! Need to nip out to the shops and do the school run in the next hour.

Sorry been AWOL again, busy weekend for once doing a few things for us, went out for dinner and to the cinema as well! Had a lovely autumn walk with the kids yesterday too, walked for over an hour and no whining from anyone! Shock

Wow, doesn't time fly!! Ds was 3 recently and I joined just before I had him. ☺️ Can't believe it! Flying has fallen by the wayside for me right now I'm just doing what I can when I can but I love all the chat and advice on here, such a friendly bunch . And some of those flylady routines have actually stuck despite everything!!

I've just cleaned up two pairs of muddy boots and three pairs of trainers. One of those things I always put off doing but they've come up really nice! I might actually be able to hand the boots down to someone else now 😂

Solitarycaddis · 30/09/2019 15:17

Wow Foxes ds is growing up fast! Well done re: the boot scrubbing!

Zoo yes I leave lad scrubbing for my leisure hours Wink You certainly deserve that break. Cloudy and overcast here now too.

Tidy yum, crumble...

Tidyhomewannabe · 30/09/2019 20:11

Dinner was delicious and a little bit of crumble left to fight over tomorrow!

I've got a basket full of dry washing to put away, dinner pots to do and tidy the days stuff away but I'm so tired. Maybe it's because I'm watching athletics and just watching all that running makes me tired for the athletes haha must get up and finish doing the chore .......

Tidyhomewannabe · 30/09/2019 20:12

Sounds like a lovely weekend foxes!

ChicCroissant · 30/09/2019 20:51

I've got a bag of apples that need to be turned into crumble, I even bought the cream to put on but haven't made the crumble yet Blush

Did school run, dropped DD at activity and did shopping. She has Food Tech tomorrow so extra bag packing and weighing to be done tonight or early tomorrow morning.

So much weather tonight! We have yellow warning for rain in our area.

For me tomorrow craft class, have to exchange DD's musical instrument and the ongoing laundry battle Grin

As the final day of September draws to a close, I'd like to say how awesome you've all been this month Halo and we had two babies as well (is that a record?) I'll probably be back later on tonight but it's been an absolute pleasure StarGlitterball Star
