How often do you REALLY change your sheets?

I know people claim to do it religiously every week or more frequently, but how often do you really change your sheets? I've a super king size bed and it's a gymnastics activity trying to change the sheet and covers!

I change my bedsheets every five days. I change the sheets in the teenagers beds every Thursday night when they are at training. DD gets her bedsheets changed every two weeks.

SciFiScream · 19/03/2019 10:29

This is one reason why I'm an every two weeks washer

Wednesdays and Sundays without fail pretty much, unless we're away. But we're both allergy eczema sufferers and it seems to help.

Once a week, on a Tuesday. No kids though, if I had more beds to change I might alternate.

But then I love clean sheets so much, I might not.

mrsoutnumbered · 19/03/2019 12:27

I follow TOMM and do it every Tuesday. Any longer than that and they go a bit too niffy for my liking.

Redred2429 · 19/03/2019 12:27

One to two times a week here

Bunnylady53 · 19/03/2019 12:31

Definitely not as often as I should! I do DD’s more often. This time I think ours had been on about a month

toastedbeagle · 19/03/2019 12:36

Tip for super king bedding change - I use a hair bobble to fix the duvet in the top corner of the cover, then do the second corner (top end) and then stand on the bed and shake the cover down.

Felicia4 · 19/03/2019 12:52

Sheets and pillowcases twice a week. Duvet cover weekly.

BeeMyBaby · 19/03/2019 13:08

Fortnightly as I can't be bothered doing it more often (superking and 3 singles), plus we don't sweat when we sleep. If someone had been ill and sweaty overnight I would probably do an extra change.

MaybeitsMaybelline · 19/03/2019 19:45

Every week, more often if it’s hot outside. Ours is super king and I have no problem with the duvet covers.

I never ever iron the bedding though, that is a step too far.

zchm · 23/03/2019 08:46

Normally every fortnight. But if I have lots of commitments on the weekend, then 3-4 weeks. Blush

Lulu1919 · 23/03/2019 08:53

Every 7 to 10 days sooner if I’ve had a sweaty night !
Towels...I use bath towel three times ish ....hand towels daily

Greyhound22 · 23/03/2019 08:58

Weekly - more if DS is in with us and 'leaks'.

Sorry I can go with fortnightly but any longer is really grim.

madeyemoodysmum · 23/03/2019 09:08

3 weekly cycles.
Kids beds one week
Ours second week
Week off third week Grin

If someone was ill of course I’d change as needed.

We have no tumble dryer either

Changing beds is my most hated housework chore. Especially my bed.

LegoCake · 23/03/2019 09:10

Another TOMM'er here so every Tues

Mabellavender · 23/03/2019 09:11

Twice a week but she does it. Before I loved with him it was usually every couple of weeks, but really should have done it more as I used to wear lots of fake tan and had 3 dogs sleeping with me Blush

Mabellavender · 23/03/2019 09:12

Dh not she Grin

PregnantSea · 23/03/2019 09:15

Pre pregnancy I did it every week without fail. Now I find it quite tricky and can't really be arsed as much so sometimes gets left for 2 weeks. I don't usually leave it any longer than that though - not because I'm trying to be Martha Stewart, I just hate smelly bedsheets. The feeling and smell of fresh sheets makes me unreasonably happy.
