How often do you REALLY change your sheets?

I know people claim to do it religiously every week or more frequently, but how often do you really change your sheets? I've a super king size bed and it's a gymnastics activity trying to change the sheet and covers!

Generally once a week but working full time and my shifts can vary it sometimes is just before or after, don't think I've gone more than 2 weeks between though.

teenagetantrums · 16/03/2019 15:21

Honestly about every two weeks. Maybe more often if it's hot and we sweaty.

Ohyesiam · 16/03/2019 15:21

I not only claim to change them once a week, I REALLY change them once a week.

YessicaHaircut · 16/03/2019 15:24

I’m obviously a proper slattern because I only change ours every 3-4 weeks Blush. We don’t have a tumble dryer though so it’s a real pain getting sheets and duvet covers dry in the winter. I probably change them every 2 weeks in summer as can hang everything out to dry.

riotlady · 16/03/2019 15:27

I alternate sheets one week and towels the next, so they each get washed every two weeks.

GlitterPixie · 16/03/2019 15:27

Every couple of weeks

Amber0685 · 16/03/2019 15:28

Every week, I did it today

MirandaWest · 16/03/2019 15:28

No idea - probably somewhere between every fortnight and every month. Sometimes more often.

Calvinsmam · 16/03/2019 15:28

Every week.
On a Monday.

My towels on the other hand. Blush

Littlechocola · 16/03/2019 15:28

Twice a week. I sleep better in a clean bed. I get sweaty!

CookPassBabtridge · 16/03/2019 15:29

Once a month probably, more in summer! If I lived with a sweaty builder who didn't wash before bed then I'd do it constantly..

jelliebelly · 16/03/2019 15:29

Me - never
Dh - when we remember to prob every 3 weeks or so

thefirst48 · 16/03/2019 15:30

I do mine every week, I hate an unclean bed.

missmouse101 · 16/03/2019 15:30

Fortnightly. Kids' bedding one weekend, ours the next.

Bigonesmallone3 · 16/03/2019 15:30

Minimum once a month I try for fortnightly. I am a pregnant working mum and do not have the time in my life to do it more than that..
They are also a high thread count cotton so must be ironed before going back on the bed and u can imagine the effort to iron a crumpled kind size quilt cover, king size sheet and pillow cases.
We only own one set

chesterfuckingdraws · 16/03/2019 15:31

Weekly here.

It can be a massive pain, we both work shifts so more often than not one of us is in bed sleeping. Clean sheets is my favourite things though so I prioritise clean bedding. It doesn't take long and we thankfully have a drier so our super king bed can be stripped, washed and dried and back on the bed in 3hrs if I put the same cover back on.

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 16/03/2019 15:32

Weekly.

Floralnomad · 16/03/2019 15:33

At least weekly for all the beds here. Towels get done every couple of days .

Ihopeyourcakeisshit · 16/03/2019 15:33

I feel your pain however, as the owner of a stupidly big bed.

greenelephantscarf · 16/03/2019 15:33

every other week.
one week dc's and ours the next.
lots of airing in between though. plus we sleep in pyjamas.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 16/03/2019 15:34

Fortnightly

ChubbyMummy12 · 16/03/2019 15:34

Weekly

rededucator · 16/03/2019 15:34

Chester, do you manage to put the duvet cover of a super king back on yourself? If so can you please teach me your wizardry? Grin

I have got arthritis and I would love to change my 1200 cotton thread once per week but the reality is such a huge nonsense (with all the 20 pillows on the bed) but even after one week they smell fresh...........so I cannot be bothered really.

myidentitymycrisis · 16/03/2019 15:39

Sheets and duvet cover every two weeks for just me, and I change the pillowcases every week.

If my DP is around and we’re very ‘active’, once a week.
