How often do you REALLY change your sheets?

I know people claim to do it religiously every week or more frequently, but how often do you really change your sheets? I've a super king size bed and it's a gymnastics activity trying to change the sheet and covers!

Every week - love clean sheets on a Sunday night!

joystir59 · 16/03/2019 17:27

Super king size bed. Once a month or more frequently, esp in summer. Hate a dirty bed.

notsurewhatshappening · 16/03/2019 17:29

Every 10 days or so. I sleep alone and always wear pyjamas if that matters

LadyKylieShagworthy · 16/03/2019 17:34

Every 7 - 10 days. Maybe 2 weeks absolute max.

ArtichokeAardvark · 16/03/2019 17:36

Every 2 weeks, on a Sunday. Already looking forward to my lovely clean sheets tomorrow night Grin

ohcarriemathison · 16/03/2019 17:37

Honestly, I do mine and DH's every Sunday.
We have a combi boiler and the bath takes ages to run so I have a routine of cleaning the bathroom then when my bubble bath is running I change our bed (King Size) then have a nice bubble bath.
Kids I'll do every 2 weeks.
It's a pain in the ass.
I work 4 days a week and always have mountains of washing to do.

LunaTheCat · 16/03/2019 17:39

Every week, I have top sheet under duvet too.Men do not have the changing sheet gene - is is next to the folding washing gene and the wiping the kitchen bench and pouting old tea bags in the bin gene. He is gene defective but I still love him to bits.

wejammin · 16/03/2019 17:43

Ummmm, maybe monthly? I am a self confessed slattern though.

LorelaiRoryEmily · 16/03/2019 17:53

I do ours every tuesday. It’s a superking and takes about 15 minutes. Toddler ds’s gets done same day. My mother does hers every second dayShock

carbuncleonapigsposterior · 16/03/2019 18:01

Sheets and pillowcases weekly, duvet covers every other week.

Oblomov19 · 16/03/2019 18:04

Our king sized bed gets changed when Dh mentions it. 10 days I guess. I'd never do it / initiate myself. But I do love a clean bed.

The ds's less regularly. 2-3 weeks? Once a month?

OrdinaryGirl · 16/03/2019 18:05

Weekly here. Really weekly.
When we replaced our bed we didn't get a super-king for just the reason you describe - I knew the hassle of wrestling a vast, sail-like duvet cover onto a duvet would be something I couldn't face doing very often, and it was more important that we had nice clean linen every week so we just got a king-size and I still hate doing it.

clary · 16/03/2019 18:06

Every week. Really. It's in no way remarkable. Just a regular double tho.

I quite like it actually, love a clean bed. I do ours on a Wednesday, kids do theirs on a Saturday.

Skincaresos · 16/03/2019 18:07

Weekly on a Tues for me and DH, DC every other week

MarshaBradyo · 16/03/2019 18:08

Every week without fail

Super King size here too

mimiasovitch · 16/03/2019 18:11

Every week, unless my cleaner has a week off, when I can convince myself I don't really need to go the effort Grin

Fightthebear · 16/03/2019 18:12

Fortnightly.

No sign of scabies yet Grin

popcorndiva · 16/03/2019 18:13

Baby's cot weekly. Our king size bed fortnightly. It's such a faff

hdh747 · 16/03/2019 18:32

When I want a fresh bed. Honestly don't keep track.
I've tried several methods for getting duvet cover on, and I have disabilities and the strength of a gnat, but I've settled on:
Spread duvet out on bed wihthout cover.
Put top of duvet cover over top of duvet, making sure both corners are nicely tucked in and wiggle the top big straight
Pull duvet cover down each side a bit, walking round to each side of bed as needed, so you're basically rolling it down each side a bit at a time, holding the place you've got to with one hand while rolling with the other then fasten bottom
MMm, no idea if that is comprehensible to someone who hasn't done it that way

My friend does her's like this

Stormwhale · 16/03/2019 18:36

Sheets I try to do once a week, but sometimes it's more like two. Towels are washed every 2-3 days.

BuckingFrolics · 16/03/2019 18:56

Seasonally

Newadventure · 16/03/2019 19:28

Weekly-Fortnightly

icannotremember · 16/03/2019 19:32

Every 2 weeks or so. More often if they seem to need it. Usually they don't.

SciFiScream · 16/03/2019 20:11

Fortnightly. To balance my need for cleanliness with a planet friendly approach to life. I love fresh bed night.

rumptifizzer · 16/03/2019 21:36

Kings size bed, super king size duvet. Weekly. If I had the time and money I'd have clean bed sheets everyday.

It amazes me that people sleep in a bed for more than that. You wouldn't wear the same underwear for two days...or would you ConfusedConfused
