Welcome to the February Flylady thread, we’d love to have you with us as we chat and work our way through our houses in February. Flylady uses the zone method of cleaning so we’ll be focusing on a different area of the house each week – we will post daily links to the Launch Pad on the Flylady website which gives all the details of the current Zone, daily missions and babysteps.

Newbies are always welcome so feel free to join in at any time. Flylady does recommend decluttering your house first, so if you are not ready for the cleaning routines yet it’s fine to focus on the decluttering bit – add the babysteps in if you wish.

Good afternoon - I slept in until 11.0am Blush so have had a bit of brunch (pancakes and bacon, not together) and will read the thread now.

Obviously only two days of thread leading has exhausted me Blush Grin.

Art class sounds good Eustacia, I am not gifted in that area and my DD takes after me unfortunately (especially unfortunate as she has an art project for homework which will test our skills), welcome back Wheely - teens are well-known eating machines (and I don't dry the sink but mine isn't shiny), as for family not joining in mine come through the front door, past the coat cupboard which is immediately to one side and hang their coat on the post at the end of the stairs, not a court in the land would convict me ...

I've I have a similar laundry mountain, it's the drying in this weather - I have even resorted to using the tumble dryer which is rare for me! Oooh Cag, good luck with the business venture, Lisette I am slightly envious of your snow and Zoo you've had a really tough week so be kind to yourself and do whatever it takes to get through today.

Right, better finish my coffee and clear up the debris in the kitchen. DD has a bit of homework to do (in addition to the art project) and we need to have a tricky conversation about an out of school activity. DH is now saying we should go out as it looks so sunny, so a full-caffienated coffee might be on the cards somewhere. See you later!

Absolutely beautiful light and bright weather here this morning (country) here too Sass! The snow is dazzling (in fact it snowed so much all day yesterday we nearly didn't make it!)! DD had marvellous hack with farmer and friend. Dhorse even managed to jump a small log! We've sadly all had to come back and clean and pack up though which is why I am mumsnetting Grin Wink. Could stay here forever! Heigh ho! Better get cracking!

Nice to see you again Wheely!

Good for you Cag; go for it!
Hope art class went well Eustacia!

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/02/2019 15:11

Sproutingcorm · 03/02/2019 15:28

Aye, "virtual" hot cross buns or crumpets don't quite hit the mark it has to be said.

MogTheSleepyCat · 03/02/2019 16:32

Afternoon all, welcome to Harebell and Wheely Hope everyone is having good weekends.

DH took DS to the cinema this morning whilst I slept in and enjoyed a quiet house with my book.

Ta Da
x2 loads in WM and the TD
One laundry load folded
Made beds
DW loaded and on
Moroccan braised beef stew prepped and slow cooking
Kitchen bins emptied
Cleaned draining board and hob
Supervised homework

DS has is two hour ASD assessment tomorrow after school. Feeling a bit sick about it all tbh.

Stilllivinginazoo · 03/02/2019 16:36

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/02/2019 16:38

Stilllivinginazoo · 03/02/2019 16:41

DS hates dry fruit he like co op fudge and chocolate buns

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/02/2019 17:19

Noooooo that bread is fittttttt

Cagliostro · 03/02/2019 17:40

Fit bread 🤔😁

Aaah mog happy to chat about all that stuff. I cried when they said DD was, despite not crying about DS ten minutes earlier (they did feedback on both together). Not sadness, although that came later really. Just the relief that somebody saw what I did.

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/02/2019 17:45

Blush i like food today

Bowerbird5 · 03/02/2019 18:47

Wrote some last night and it wouldn’t post. Tried three times then it disappeared.😣

I have old pine furniture which I wax about once a year more if it looks dry. I love the smell. I also have original latched doors so they get done too. I get a bit fed up by the time they are done and probably don’t do them as often.

Just as well I wasn’t on earlier I had Hot cross buns this morning for breakfast. Hot plate hadn’t been turned down last night so took about 5 mins on the top.

Chest rattling and coughing a lot so suspect bronchitis on its way if not already. Will try for GP appointment on Tuesday. Or a chat as I have steroids at home.

Been up at a reasonable time 8:30 and pottered about. DD got up so lots of tea and chat. Showered and went to Mass asked her to clean bottom of dresser came home to find only one side done.DH said she didn’t know where to put it🙄 er the table. Anyway I finished it. After she left I did all of new baking cupboard and three boxes unpacked and put away. DH helped wash some of third box as he needed to be on the computer. What was said about family helping. Yes, tidying up after them although I can make a mess too. So far more room in the kitchen now but I will have to declutter too. I love my drawers so easy on your back.

DH has just had a phone call. His other half at work is being medi vaned off. DH was speaking to him at lunchtime so it has been a bit of a shock and he is not sure how they will manage at night as only DH and his OH qualified for job. We have a funeral tomorrow so he will have to go up after that and fly out early Tuesday. Lots of snow up there too. We only have a dusting here although more south of the county. Fantastic photos on local news.
DH was drunk last night and has asked sons and DD and partner to the pub. Not sure how many going. Better go find out as he went at 5:50 and no one has turned up here.
Happy flying tomorrow.

foxessocks · 03/02/2019 19:10

I'm literally just popping by to say the m&s chocolate and orange hot cross buns were amazing last year!!

Sorry haven't been around much today it's been a bit busy and now I must get these dc to go to sleeeeeeeeeeeeeep!

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/02/2019 19:25

Have been smacked in the face with the tired stick now and it hurts Sad

Also need to get dc to bed, sort uniforms for morning, rotate more washing....

Stilllivinginazoo · 03/02/2019 19:33

Shirts are dry and put away, dark pat's unfortunately in drier.in my defense I was waiting for dd2 to return from sleepover to add her darks t-shirt/hoodie/jeans etc...she had great time and friends mum must have nerves of steel.had ask them tone it down at 3am,but still made them all pancakes for breakfast and curry for lunch(special Quorn version for dd2,ev one else had chicken)I think deserves medal having 8extra teen girls 2pm-6pm next day!!

IVEgottheDECAF · 03/02/2019 19:37

Shock EIGHT!

Stilllivinginazoo · 03/02/2019 19:59
