Welcome to the February Flylady thread, we’d love to have you with us as we chat and work our way through our houses in February. Flylady uses the zone method of cleaning so we’ll be focusing on a different area of the house each week – we will post daily links to the Launch Pad on the Flylady website which gives all the details of the current Zone, daily missions and babysteps.

Newbies are always welcome so feel free to join in at any time. Flylady does recommend decluttering your house first, so if you are not ready for the cleaning routines yet it’s fine to focus on the decluttering bit – add the babysteps in if you wish.

Mog, he's still the same boy he was before the appointment and he'll still be the same boy tomorrow. Absolutely understand the mixed emotions. Be kind to yourself.

Flowers to you and your lovely boy Mog

Cagliostro · 04/02/2019 22:47

No wrong feelings whatsoever. It doesn’t matter how long you have known it in your heart, to hear it official is a big deal, be kind to yourself as you process it ❤️

Cagliostro · 04/02/2019 22:48

I’m watching the Dispatches show about invisible children ie home ed... blood pressure rising...

MeetOnTheledge · 04/02/2019 23:13

Mog - I felt the same, I knew it was coming but it still knocked me sideways when DS got his diagnosis (AS and dyspraxia). It took me quite a long time to really come to terms with it, certainly months rather than weeks. It does get easier though Flowers

Cag - I didn't watch but I got Angry feelings just from the blurb on the Sky planner. Flowers for you too.

Bugger all Flying achieved today but I did finish a photobook and got it ordered with 50% off.

HillsBesideTheSea · 04/02/2019 23:15

Super productive day in a non productive manner iyswim.

Shattered. About to crawl into bed. Finally!

SassitudeandSparkle · 04/02/2019 23:20

Evening all - Launch Pad link for tomorrow Launch Pad

Cag that sounds quite a positive outcome for the calls, hope it works out OK. I've rest your back, sometimes that's all you can do. Do you have any painkillers?

I am thinking about an early-ish night as I have stuff to do tomorrow. Ho hum - I may be able to catch up a bit but it will take some doing Grin

Sleep well!

Morning! (5.30 here). Spent longer then usual working yesterday so more to do today, hence the early start! The only Flying achieved was the reception and putting away of monthly on-line supermarket order last night (everything except perishables). Also ordered new harnesses, dog collars and tags for the furries. Washing mountain threatening to engulf basement.

Glad assessment appts sorted Cag.
A belated happy birthday to your ds Hills!
Take it steady I've.

Wing flaps to everyone else!

Stilllivinginazoo · 05/02/2019 06:05

IVEgottheDECAF · 05/02/2019 06:50

Morning brews make me sick Sad

So last night i tried to order a huge food shop as cupboards are bare, however Asda would not accept my new debit card! Grrrr.

Ta da

Me and dc4 out of bed

foxessocks · 05/02/2019 06:59

That's very frustrating ive , has the order saved so you can at least go back to it?

I can already tell today is going to be a looooooooong day. Ds up at 6 which is very early for him, he refused to have his nappy changed and has taken himself back to his room. He was also up again in the night and so was dd coughing bless her. So I'm tired again. I've got to stay in all day for our new dishwasher as they won't give a time. (What's the betting they will try and deliver while I'm on the school run?!)

IVEgottheDECAF · 05/02/2019 07:02

Oh dear foxes do the company not give a time slot or phone on route?

Not sure if the shopping saved but i really needed it today Sad so now will have drag my sorry arse round the shops. Think i need to switch ds to the lighter buggy as pushing him is doing my back no good at all.

I wish i was getting a dish washer though.

Its on my list of things i may buy when/if i am correct and tax credits owe us a load of money at renewal! Atm i am our dishwasher Envy

IVEgottheDECAF · 05/02/2019 07:03

Jesus you said they dont give a time

foxessocks · 05/02/2019 07:11

Grin it's early don't worry! You have my sympathy, washing up sucks. Forgot how much I hate it since I've been having to do it again.

Stilllivinginazoo · 05/02/2019 07:34

No one but me washes up
I've how many more weeks til the sickness passes?Flowers
As we have ridiculous lack storage I have to shop every few days plus I live with locusts so off shops again today...

And not only trailing a stressed D's,it will entail lil zoo who been up half night headache along her bad throat/huge glands.she actually cried and said I want to be with you mummyShockshe hasn't called me mummy in forever and isn't one to milk it,she sucks up and keeps going...
I foresee after shopping a little girl on sofa(possibly not in duvet as feverish)

EustaciaVye · 05/02/2019 08:12

I am too busy to do much at the moment but wanted to just say mog he is still your boy, and you will enable him to be the best he can be. That is what parenting is Smile

Cagliostro · 05/02/2019 10:30

I wouldn’t bother watching ledge so biased 🙄🙄🙄

I wrote a little thing about kids being “invisible” and a few people shared it so a nice little ego boost for me. I have been mulling over an “article” I’d like to write (about autism and mental health) and submit to an awesome site called The Mighty. Must use the confidence to actually get round to it 😳

Sooooo tired this morning though. Sleep still fucked

Sproutingcorm · 05/02/2019 10:57

Go for the writing Cag!

IVEgottheDECAF · 05/02/2019 11:09

Cagliostro · 05/02/2019 11:54

Aaaah scary!!!

I don’t think they are particularly strict on who they publish, it’s not like some exclusive thing where you have to be amazing, but I’m totally scared they’ll laugh at me 😂

I have managed to do some adulting at least, sorting refunds/cancellations on things

IVEgottheDECAF · 05/02/2019 12:06
