Marking place! Been so busy today. Just hiding downstairs before going up to bed as we heard ds stirring so don't want him to wake up when we go up (he is still not sleeping well!)

Ta das from today
Tip run
2 X work things
Hoovered downstairs
Dusted downstairs
Mopped kitchen
Daily routine
3 X laundry
Made banana flapjacks
Made risotto for dinner (first attempt at risotto, I was pleased with the result!)
Put loads of toys away that has crept to various rooms in the house
Posted rsvp to a wedding
Dropped something over to friend's house as promised
Tidied garden toys
Wiped kitchen windowsill and deep cleaned kitchen sides

Phew. Think I'm safe to tiptoe up to bed although now we can hear dd (hopefully she's just mumbling in her sleep though!)

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 24/06/2018 22:52

Placemarking Smile.

Have done no flying today. DH did do some painting though so perhaps that counts. Will need another coat sometime this week.

Thanks for setting up second thread SC and big wing flaps to all.

I can do July thread if need be?

I reckon I got about three hours sleep last night. I'm a rubbish sleeper in the summer. The heat. The bloody seagulls outside making a racket. Rubbish.

Brew morning all

HillsBesideTheSea · 25/06/2018 07:38

zoo the buggers added rapeseed oil. which is a pita if you were using vitalite because it DIDN'T contain rapeseed oil and was also milk free. I am feeling the need to write a letter of complaint this morning. I will be back to making 2 cakes for birthdays bastarding recipe improvements. I also get to break the news to the person this morning. So much fun. Not.

My brain thinks i should be up early for something this morning. Except it won't tell me any more information so I have no idea what it thinks I should be up early for Confused

Hurts to breathe this morning Hmm Going to be a fun day then.

Stilllivinginazoo · 25/06/2018 07:56

Rapesseds ok for us at the moment

Ta das(still continued)
Drag dd2 out of bed(3rd attempt)
Zoolet fed and watered
Pack ups made
Bathroom
Windows wiped
Sill cleaned
Bathroom drawers check empty items(grrr at crunched up empty toothpaste tubes)
Radiator wiped
Bath panel wiped
Bath and sink wiped
Taps shined

Argue extensively with dd2 for leaving ingredients for today's cookery class to last minute(I had list thrust at me yesterday but needed to weigh every thing out)

Wrestle them into suncream on cheek bones as caught sun slightly yesterday..

Make sure both dd2 and D's packed extra bottles water

Threw them out the door

Wash in drier (princess zoo likes fluffy towels)

Write shopping list(hurrah for dp being off til tom lunch so no drag heavy bags in the heat)

Off on school run shortly...

Stilllivinginazoo · 25/06/2018 07:56

Scoopofchaff · 25/06/2018 07:57

Good morning all!

Just posting links for today again on this thread too for ease of referall!

Baby step no. 25 for Mon 25th June is here! Reading Flylady's personal testimonal on how she developed her routines one step at a time and how not to get bogged down in perfectionism!

We are in Zone 5 all this this week: [[http://www.flylady.net/d/zones/zone-5/
The Living Room, Den, Family Room (June 24-30) here]]. Spend 15 mins a day decluttering this area (and/or do a mission!).

If you are at the stage where you have finished decluttering Zone 5, here is the [[http://www.flylady.net/d/zones/detailed-cleaning-zone-5/
detailed cleaning list]] for the sitting room etc.

Monday's mission is: here. Sofa and chair diving!

Monday's daily focus is: the home bleugh. Ten mins on each of seven essential tasks. NB not many of us can do it in this time!

The monthly habit for June is keeping hydrated by drinking lots of water.

A summary of the above (which should update itself daily) can be found in the flight plan here.

Have a productive start to the week everyone!

There is another oil in it so might be worth an ingrediants list read because that was the only thing that stuck in this tired brain.

Time to go throw water at the teen. (figuratively at this stage)

Cagliostro · 25/06/2018 08:05

Morning all, thanks for the new thread (and the old one of course) sc 💐

Cagletini woke up at half six which is early for her. I didn’t even bother putting her in bed last night, just had her in a vest and lay down with her sans duvet, I was too tired to try and make her sleep alone! 🙄

DH is already doing home ed with the Caglets, DD is going to a friend’s for a bit later and DSD is coming over. DH has a brief work meeting and there’s TKD later. Not sure what practical stuff we will be doing.

Scoopofchaff · 25/06/2018 08:12

And congrats for making it to 1,000 posts on the other thread! Glitterball

I'm back, thanks for the namecheck despite me vanishing for the whole previous thread SC

I had been on a bit of a roll with housework, organisation etc, then we had a bereavement last week and everything has gone pear-shaped. Trying to keep everything going as normally as possible but it's been hard and will continue to be for some time I think. This week one DC has activities week, so lots of outings, the other has sports day, canoeing and a drama production, so lots of extra checking letters, finding suncream, water bottles etc.

I did do quite a bit of decluttering a couple of weeks ago though, tip run, lots of garden waste, charity shop run plus got rid of a small storage unit clutter magnet without which the kitchen looks much bigger.

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 25/06/2018 09:57

Cleaning bootcamp......hmmm does eating crisp butties for breakfast count?

firehousedog · 25/06/2018 10:06

Hills our school sent an email the other week about hot weather reassuring us that they provide the children with plenty of water throughout the day. Its just me who needs to remember to hydrate I think. Probably why I felt boiling hot last night.

ta da

school run
washed dishes
made beds
washing machine on

Gonna go and bleach the bathrooms now.

Scoopofchaff · 25/06/2018 10:40

Whoknows lovely to "see" you as ever. I am so very sorry to hear about your family bereavement. Do take it steady as these things tend to knock us for six rather Flowers Wishing you strength for all the end of term activities.

Firehousedog I think I forgot to drink enough yesterday too. Felt iffy in the evening as a result.
