Clarification - none of the kids wear coats because they are teenagers not because of the rules.

GoingGoingGoth · 27/06/2018 08:25

DD still in bed so making the most of the half hour or so peace (now the cat has shut up)

To Do
Finish coffee
Swish & swipe
Change beds

"Encourage" DD to do 30 minutes Maths revision - weakest subject and she needs it to be much better as she's chosen physics - No phone / tablet until it's done

Walking
Put away veg box delivery
Write up crochet patterns for new class starting

GoingGoingGoth · 27/06/2018 08:28

CalllMe Yes a cleaner sounds like a good idea. We all need time to be us.

Hope we get to see pictures of this garden when you are finished.

Scoopofchaff · 27/06/2018 08:45

Aaagh, have window cleaner, plumber and lovely cleaner here atm!

Window cleaner is about to enter boudoir which is a disgrace!! Extreme shame will not allow me to let the cleaner help me with it either (she has enough to do). I have 30 mins to set it straight - I already have face of beetroot - aargh! Life on the edge eh?

BBL to catch up with personals!

HonkyWonkWoman · 27/06/2018 09:28

Shouldn't complain really but this relentless, Tropical heat is energy sapping.
The thought of vacuuming yesterday made me want to cry (so I didnt) Smile
The vision of sc appearing from behind the Banana tree with her Safari outfit on, made me GrinGrin.

Ta da
Fed cat 🐱 and dog 🐕,
Swish and swipe
Towel wash on
Sit down with Brew

To Do
Really will have to vacuum (at least downstairs)
Quick feather dust.Fledgling
Sit down with Cooling Drink (iced water with cucumber and lemon)
Pick Dgs up from school
Cool him down and give him snack
Prise him into Rugby Training kit
Take to Rugby training (stand on the sidelines not understanding any of it)
Drop him off at 7.15
Easy evening meal
Feet up and telly.

Keep cool Fellow Fledglings!

Stilllivinginazoo · 27/06/2018 09:35

Tada
School run
Grab bread n milk on way home
Wash hung up to dry

I didn't add when I took down the nets to soak one my kits was curled up at far end wrapped in it and I didn't see her.she wasn't impressed I'd rudely stolen her tent and jumped off sill in a panicked huff...as I got ready to take lil zoo to school she noticed pulled curtain(don't want passing gawkers judging my clutter) and went behind it.the idea be able see straight out with no nets blew her little furry mind.was trilling and jumping up the window repeatedly.had me n lil zoo in hysterics😂

stegosauruslady · 27/06/2018 11:15

Hello! I'm getting back into this as I really do need to get back on top of things now my 1st trimester nausea is more or less gone!

Ta-daas

Laundry away, another wash on and now put out to dry.
Washing up done.
Swish and swipe done.
Cats fed and litter tray done.

To dos

Mission for the day.
15 minutes de-cluttering.
Put out hot spots.

Scoopofchaff · 27/06/2018 11:25

Funny about animals and netting/bed linen isn't it Zoo? Nothing my furry likes better than a pile of laundry to settle on Grin Preferably a clean, double duvet cover as it is being ironed which means the whole thing has to go back in the wash Grin Grin.

Funnily enough all my linen semi-see-through curtains have come down today (taking advantage of window cleaner presence on tall ladders!). I'll have to put clean ones back up though!

I have managed to bring cheapo cordless hoover back to life Honkywonk; can very much recommend for taking the strain out of hoovering in hot weather.

Good luck with your long list Goth

Hills dd not allowed water bottles on desk but at least fountains are decent. What gets me though is that school is meant to be having huge "eco-drive" and in fact has become an official state "eco school" so we have all changed to gourdes isothermiques (Eng term?) but no one checks or enforces rule so there are still millions of one use plastic water bottles clogging up ordinary bins (not even recycling bins) at end of day. Does my nut in.

Sorry you had such a stressful morning with dd2 Zoo and sorry to hear that Lil Zoo still suffering. Hope the day gets better as it progresses and you can rest up a bit!

Lovely to be able to catch up with all of your news Cordelia! Gosh, you certainly have a lot on your plate atm with gardeners and new job; a cleaner sounds like an excellent idea to me! And gosh how exciting about your garden!! Sounds really lovely!! I hope it will be ready for you all to enjoy in the summer holidays ... .

I am currently clearing the boudoir bed (the one that isn't slept on and becomes a nightmare dumping ground). The prize for most interesting item found dumped on it so far is: A packet of Multi-focal Fresnel Lens Beam Directors Confused Confused

Face still a lovely shade of puce!

Scoopofchaff · 27/06/2018 11:27

Welcome back Stegosaurauslady and if I haven't already "said" so, many congrats on your pregnancy! Glad you are feeling better as pregnancy nausea, although never fun, would not be good in this heat!

OP posts:
Scoopofchaff · 27/06/2018 11:32

Btw, that's wierd about the gas bill I've. Sounds rather underhand to introduce price rise in high summer when they hope no one will notice!

OP posts:
HillsBesideTheSea · 27/06/2018 11:47

SC they announced that the rises were going to happen on the news. Not really sneaking it in (well unless the fact it was radio 4 counts as sneaking?) Grin

I am still on bed, taking a restful morning after suffering so much with the heat yesterday. Blush

Got a whole heap of stuff to do though Hmm Slowly slowly I do not have time for these stupid temperatures, I have stuff to do. Leave the sun drop the heat a bit. ta muchly.

Stilllivinginazoo · 27/06/2018 11:53

OP posts:
GoingGoingGoth · 27/06/2018 12:30

Gah - 2 warning lights came on when I took the cat to the vet.

AND just before that got a call from the builder that they are coming tomorrow to fit the thermal insulation boards - so that's 4 cupboards full built in cupboards that need emptying by 9am tomorrow morning.
I just have to keep telling myself it will hopefully solve the condensation/mold problem

So Ta-dahs
Finish coffee
Swish & swipe
Change beds
Washing
Cat to vet - weight check
Maths revision without too much of a fight
Orders packed

Off out to do posting, grab lunch, bit of walking & get DD's school hoodie for next year (10% off if we order in June)

Giggage · 27/06/2018 12:32

Morning everyone

Woke up cold today with a lovely, lovely cold mist in the street. Bit was bliss. I'm hoping we're over the worse of this heat wave.

Ta dahs:

Cake baked
Another cake dropped off
Washing up
Cats fed
Litter tray
Shopping for week
Dusted
Load of washing on.

Giggage · 27/06/2018 12:33

Which warning lights goth?

Cagliostro · 27/06/2018 12:55

Welcome back steg glad the nausea is easing off.

Hey cordelia so excited for you about the garden!

Currently sitting in asda McDonald's while the others get a few bits, then we are going back to the house as the cleaners should be finished.

DD has decided not to do gym comp this time which means she can do her ballet demo instead next Sunday. Less pressure, easy location and no need to practice which we don't have time for atm! She's still going to the lesson tonight but agreed to miss next week while we get more done.

Relatives may be popping up on Friday. This could be a help or a hindrance Hmm

Stilllivinginazoo · 27/06/2018 13:17

I read that as cat had 2warning lights on!!I thought, hey up mine don't have that must be a fancier model...what an idiot!!I blame the heat which has burned back cool clouds and temp rising with a vengeance

Tada
Cleared under sofa#2-4 cat toys,5hair bobbles(tabby has a thing for running around with them in her mouth!!) And the dvd remote that's also been missing a while(was trapped down back of cushions)
Sec I moved a ball both "needed" to come help remove the toysGrin
Cleaned windows frames and wiped windows(curtains now in hot wash with more napisan in hope they upgrade from icky beige to nearly white!!)
Cleaned under computer table(again.its a dumping ground if pens, workbooks, colouring books, stationery)
Wiped floor
Wiped kitchen floor

School just rang going to fetch lil zoo....

Cagliostro · 27/06/2018 13:40

I read it thinking "your cat has warning lights?!"

Scoopofchaff · 27/06/2018 13:41

So did I!

Assumed cat is having operation???

But if it's your car - that's a bummer Goth - obviously worse if cat in difficulty!

OP posts:
Scoopofchaff · 27/06/2018 13:44

Window cleaner has just left (phew)!

He has been here since 8.30 am and it is now 14.42! I must have been up and down the stairs 85 times during that period. Think I will puke next time I ascend or descend!

I don't know why I loathe something else being in the house so much - it's not normal is it? Confused

OP posts:
Scoopofchaff · 27/06/2018 13:48

Wishing you the very best of luck and more power to your elbow with cupboard sorting Goth!

You could always do what I did yesterday and procrastinate horribly don't do this and then have to get up at 5 am with the fear of God in your heart knowing a workman is going to be entering every room in the house Grin Great strategy that was not Hmm.

Glad one of us is not melting Giggage Smile!

I think we are leading parallel lives atm Zoo I am also cleaning window frames atm!

Hope Lil Zoo OK?

OP posts:
Scoopofchaff · 27/06/2018 13:48

Something else being in the house?

I meant someone else!!

OP posts:
foxessocks · 27/06/2018 15:16

Afternoon! Sorry haven't quite caught up on everything yet, something about a cat with warning lights?! Grin we went away for a night to a theme park which was fun but also a tad exhausting when you're travelling with preschoolers. So I'm jumping back in to flylady from this afternoon.

Ta da

Went to supermarket
Washing on

To do
Finish unpacking
Finish daily routine
Check today's mission and decluttering area as I'm behind and don't know where we are
