Seen on pinterest

"My house keeping style can best be describe as 'there appears to have been a struggle' "

Made me giggle because that is how it looks here atm.

Scoopofchaff · 30/06/2018 09:02

Oh no Cag that's terrible timing re: puking; hopefully it won't be long lasting though.

Hills Grin.

Hi everyone, big apologies for not catching up as I can see lots of people have things going on atm but I have a really busy weekend with a lot of driving. I have made the new thread, will keep an eye on it and will be on it properly tomorrow (more likely in the afternoon but will quickly check on the morning too).

Huge thanks to SC for the June thread FlowersCake.

Hope your weekend is lovely stressy!

Cagliostro · 30/06/2018 09:37

Cheers stressy :)

Caglets are over the worst it seems although they haven’t tried eating anything yet. DH is off to the shops shortly for BRAT diet type supplies and the mandatory lucozade (not sure caffeinating them with flat coke is a good plan). We have no food in really let alone stuff that would be ‘safe’ and I won’t be able to get them to the shops later.

Jolly glad we got so much done yesterday now!

Callmecordelia · 30/06/2018 10:04

Sorry your children are ill Cag and that the tutor and your DP are being unhelpful Zoo.

The garden was finished yesterday.

Ta da - got protective flooring out of kitchen.
Scrubbed floor.
Put furniture back in
Looked at protective stuff on stairs, in hall etc and did nothing with it. Smile
Watered new turf.
Put hose over new patio so pointing doesn't dry out too quickly.

I am now escaping to my parents house.

GoingGoingGoth · 30/06/2018 10:13

Just want to say THANK YOU Flowers to whoever recommended the Lush talc.

It is lush

foxessocks · 30/06/2018 10:30

Dh has some more time off work to spend with all of us so I won't be around much this week! Hope your dc feel better soon cag

HonkyWonkWoman · 30/06/2018 11:36

Good that the little Cags are recovering! Hope Zoo feeling a bit better today! Flowers

Stayed up late and feel tired so not planning on doing a lot today.

Ta da
Fed dog and cat
Watered some plants before sun too hot.
Swish and swipe
Quick Dust round

To do
Really need to re-pot an outdoor plant but will have to go out to buy new planter and don't want to.😕
Sort out which clothes I'm taking to Turkey (still time for that)

Who has the "big stick" to get me going?

Scoopofchaff · 30/06/2018 11:41

Big pointy stick has been mislaid somewhere Honky Smile. But if anyone finds it ...I could do with a jab!

Currently enjoying a few minutes of peace with the furry before DD returns (dh has kindly gone to fetch her and drop third friend back at home) so I have unexpected free time!

Am I making the most of it and working through my "to do" list? Hell no, me and furry are sat under parasol googling rescue dog centres together Grin

How is Buffydog coping with heat Honky?

My furry doesn't tolerate it well and becomes very needy because he is bored. Time to play "hunt the Herta sausage" I think!

OP posts:
HonkyWonkWoman · 30/06/2018 13:15

Enjoy your few minutes of peace with the furry sc.
Buffydog does quite well in the heat now she is older as she finds cool places to sleeps all day, usually sprawled across the kitchen floor.

A different story when she was young, she was very hyper and on the go all the time.
Have decided that I am going to get a planter and a new pepper-grinder from the Range after lunch.

Then will feel I've accomplished something today!
I will start a new book when I return, as a treat.
Keep cool Fellow Fledglings! Smile🍦

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 30/06/2018 13:16

I think the stick melted

Cagliostro · 30/06/2018 14:33

The only stick I'd be interested in is a lolly stick!

I can't believe it's only 2.5hrs since DH left for work :( I thought we had killed a little more time than that! He won't be back till 11.

Both Caglets fell asleep leaning on me. Baby also drifted off during a feed and even I dozed a little. Just put the bedding in the dryer and the baby is now stealing rich tea biscuits Hmm

I'm really hungry but still a bit worried I will end up puking Hmm

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 30/06/2018 17:50

🍦🍧🍨🍭🍾🍷🍸🍹🍺🥤🥃

Scoopofchaff · 30/06/2018 18:07

[snaffles an ice lolly or three]

Glad Buffydog not suffering too much Honky. Our furry is a bit needy because we can't give him as much exercise as usual so we are trying to tire out him out mentally with a few games. It's difficult though because he is not particularly food motivated. We have also put a large bottle of frozen water in his bed covered in a towel which he seems to appreciate.

A bit of rest will do you all good Cag

OP posts:
HillsBesideTheSea · 30/06/2018 21:03

Ok that is me done for the night. Off to sleep more painting to do tomo. And I probably should tackle the boy dungeon

plus there is the normal drive across the hills.

HonkyWonkWoman · 01/07/2018 13:09

We used to play at finding her ball with our German Shepherd sc, she loved it. The kids would take her out of the room while I hid it, then she'd be let in and we'd all shout Find it, then loads of clapping and praise when she did.
Buffy is a different matter! The first time I threw a ball and asked her to fetch it, she did. Threw it again and she gave me a quizzical look in my eye and wandered off sniffing. One and only time she fetched a ball! 😂😂😂

stegosauruslady · 01/07/2018 14:02

I'm looking after my friend's toddler today as she has an unexpected shift to work...we are relaxing in front of movies as he was sad when she left and its too hot to do anything!

My cats are struggling in the heat, the big black tom cat has barely moved for a week except to demand the tap running for him to drink from! The kitten is faring a bit better.

The result of me being more organised this week is that I now have surgery in 16 days. Crapping myself to be honest as I've never had one before. DP has taken a couple of days off to look after me. I'm going to try to make it super easy on him with meals and kid stuff (he is step dad to three, which is not an easy thing to be!) so going to have everything prepped. I know local anaesthetic is fine while pregnant but it is still scary!

Ta daas...
Swished and swiped
Dishes done
Bed made
Kitchen cleaned
Laundry done

To dos...
Put laundry away once it is dry
Dinner

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 01/07/2018 14:12

Hi guys, we are on the July thread now which is here. Sorry to hear you need surgery steg; sounds as if you are being as organised as possible. Grin at Buffy Honky.

Scoopofchaff · 01/07/2018 15:56

[sorry, should be posting on other thread now but just wanted to say...]

Good luck with surgery and all the prep for it Steg! (And good luck to your dp when the time comes!)

Our furry is the same as Buffydog when it comes to balls Honky! He just sits there in one spoot and looks disdainfully as one rolls past as if to say "and your are expecting me to get excited about that?" Grin
