Or try to anyway!

All welcome! I am struggling to stay awake so I’ll do the proper thread stuff tomorrow, but if you’d like some encouragement and chat while you get your house sorted then this is the place for you. We follow flylady in a delightfully lax sort of fashion.

Special thanks to zoo for the title idea 💐 😘

foxes she sounds just like my dd last year! It really peaked when she started school so prepare yourself. My dd had been doing 8-10 hour days at nursery before starting school but school still wiped her out. Lack of down time i think!

zoo i have always lost fair amount of hair after having each baby but not at other times, i would be upset Sad Flowers what does dr google say? You can probably get shampoo to help?

Saltcrust · 06/05/2018 09:59

Not certain of your age Zoo but my hairdresser told me that it's common for hair to thin as one goes through the menopause. Its hormone related I think (my hairline is definitely receding at the front).

I wonder if it could be seasonal though as well too? (Only saying this because the horses of my acquaintance are busy shedding their winter coats right now Grin)

I managed to stay upright and not sway too much (dizziness) at church. Met an ex teacher of dd's with her two month old baby which was lovely. You forget how small they are! Came home to find DD deep in her books being supervised by dh. Phew! And the work I put in to the kitchen yesterday has not been trashed yet either - so all good so far!

Have hung up x2 wash to dry and re-fed machines.

Off to do a small fruit and veg shop at the outdoor market now and stop at bakers and butchers on way home. Then longer walk with furry.

Enjoy your Sundays everyone!

WheelyCote · 06/05/2018 10:05

Hah! Found you all. Parking so I don't loose you again☀️

Wheelylurker here. I'll continue to lurk now 😁

Saltcrust · 06/05/2018 10:14

Hey Wheely!

WhoKnowsWhereTheW1neGoes · 06/05/2018 10:29

Zoo - I have alopecia so have spent a lot of time on threads about hairloss and am paranoid about it too. I have a thick head of hair again now but lost an awful lot of it about 10 years ago (and on the plus side arms and legs are virtually hair free now). It can be hormonal, it can also be seasonal at this time of year and it can happen as a result of things like surgery, dramatic weight loss - i had a major op about 5 years ago and a lot of hair came out about 6 months later. It might be worth a visit to the GP for blood tests Flowers.

Cagliostro · 06/05/2018 10:34

Hi wheely 😀

Zoo I have gone through long periods of hair loss, thankfully for me it makes no odds as my hair is crazy thick anyway, but it’s still irritating. Worth getting blood tests as you sound run down anyway, just in case there are shortages of something. Vitamin E and selenium are important for hair I think?

Must get ready to go to town and meet my parents who are up for the day. Knackered but looking forward to seeing them. Have done fuck all this morning. Need to pick up those antibiotics as it looks like another spot is forming on DD’s throat. Not heard from GP yet about lab results and of course won’t until Tuesday now. Also got to pick up a few bits of shopping, get a passport photo of DD for her taekwondo licence, and buy a bath mat for the baby. Sigh. Everything is so expensive right now.

Turns out it's a "find a single shoe caught up in the buggy wheels and lose a hat in the rush to catch a bus" sort of day.

foxessocks · 06/05/2018 16:03

Hope everyone's weekend has improved somewhat. No shouting today yet but slightly stressful morning, afternoon has been better as the dc have been helping in the garden.

Ta da - this is a team effort I can't take all the credit!
Bought plants for front garden and planted them
Bought few things needed in town
Finally got myself a few new clothes
Daily routine
Moved the veg plants from the kitchen and planted in the garden

To do
Cook dinner - chicken tikka masala tonight
Get dc to bed early!

GoingGoingGoth · 06/05/2018 17:00

Flying has gone out the window this weekend, doesn't help I twisted my knee yesterday while out walking.

Good news however is that I got my new glasses today and everything seems a bit sharper now.

HillsBesideTheSea · 06/05/2018 17:19

I have heat rash and currently regretting some past life choices. Not having to do cleaning and sorting out is appreciated even if the no kitchen thing make make me melt down at some point.

Going to go renew my spirit a bit.

Stilllivinginazoo · 06/05/2018 17:52

Dd2 has reverted to bitch mode
She's encouraging lil zoo to join her and it breaks my heart to have such a surly 10yr old(she has strops don't get me wrong but the answering back etc is dd2 styleSad)

I have taken her tablet as they were watch dd2 fave show(not age appropriate for lil zoo) and dd2 has been told so repeatedly as no phone she's viewing bus siblings tablet.shes giving me lots crap about not wanting tea, don't care.so won't get tea and has had a bath ran n will keep well away from me as I gave pms and fingers twitching gef round her smarmy throat

We went park pm n she talk about show n got told off in car on way then deliberately shut out D's so couldn't play in order to continue conversation out of ear shot

I've warned now that if she does it again she will be forbidden watch the show ever againSad

I am losing will to live with her

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 06/05/2018 18:26

zoo that sounds very stressful Cake

Yay for new clothes foxes

I have a load of tops i dont wear because they need ironing. They are next to new. At some point i will iron them...

Feeling touched out today. Dd very sensitive about everything. Its been one of those days where i seem to have barely had 2 seconds to myself!

GoingGoingGoth · 06/05/2018 21:41

Zoo we're at the stage when it feels like DD is losing her electrical stuff every other week. She's so much nicer to be with when she's using them.

I can't offer any advice but sending sympathetic vibes

Saltcrust · 06/05/2018 22:25

Hang in there Zoo I was ready to strangle DD yesterday - her behaviour really upset me - and today she was a different person after being out with her friends for a bit. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster ... tomorrow is another day and all of that... .

[Hands out heat packs to Goth and Hills. Grabs a few get out of flying permission slips and stuffs them in pockets.]

Yay to retail therapy Foxes

Weary wing flaps to everyone else.

Disappointingly felt very dizzy again this pm. Spent the afternoon watching Badders and the evening encouraging DD to show me her hwk. (Cosines in French - argh!) Needed two glasses of wine to help with that. Kedgeree for supper. A pitiful amount of Flying achieved.

foxessocks · 07/05/2018 08:37

Morning everyone. We were going to go to an event today but due to the heat and dd behaviour of late have decided to stay at home and have some quiet time as we predict a day out would end up with us hot, sweaty and shouting at the dc! We have promised dd a trip out for dinner later at a local pub with a play area and she is happy with that.

Unfortunately this means I have no excuse not to do the home bleugh as per usual on a Monday...

Haven't even got out of bed yet Shock dd is playing downstairs with her dolls house and ds is still in his bed playing with his teddies. This peace won't last!

Cagliostro · 07/05/2018 08:54

Good morning. My entire bed is covered in laundry.

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 07/05/2018 09:02

Ta da

All dc up and fed
Sink unblocked and scrubbed
Washing on line

cag i sorted about 5 loads of dry washing last night, laundry should be a sport

Cagliostro · 07/05/2018 10:06

Absolutely! We could form an Olympic team. United Principality of Flylady.

Cagletini is actually asleep in her bed! I really need to get better at actually putting her DOWN for a nap rather than just snuggling her and getting nothing done... also need to order her a bed as she’s busting out of her Moses basket 😳

Slow start to the morning. It’s not a school day obviously but the Caglets know they have to do a couple of bits anyway (we did nothing but DoodleMaths over the weekend which is like five minutes 😳) and do a couple of chores before playing outside.

I hate sorting laundry. I don't mind hanging it out but the sorting it before and after - argh.

Well this is I think a record for home bleugh completion (unless I've forgotten to do something which is possible). It does help that I've had dh helping it's much easier with two!

Ta da
Hoovered
Mopped
Bins emptied
Mirrors polished (some of them anyway)
Dusted furniture (most of it)
Swish and swipe bathroom
Daily routine
Bed stripped
Changed all the towels etc

Time for Brew I think.
