All welcome! I am struggling to stay awake so I’ll do the proper thread stuff tomorrow, but if you’d like some encouragement and chat while you get your house sorted then this is the place for you. We follow flylady in a delightfully lax sort of fashion.

Cag I am not dressed either. I had all good intentions to get up early and then slept until nearly 11am. Must have needed it but seriously need to sort my sleep pattern out.

In terms of sorting laundry - I have put away all my washed and ironed winter tops until summer - well rather I have put them in a drawer temporarily until I clear out the rest and put them away where they should go !

I swear that one of my sisters (the talkative one!) has a secret technological means by which she can detect from across the channel, the micro-second that I turn on my "Flylady" 15 min timer! As soon as I turn it to "start" the phone rings!! Love her lots and always lovely to hear from her, and of course I could let it go to messages, so I am making paltry excuses, but honestly, it happens every time!

I really need to get a headset so I can natter and tidy at the same time!

Now I come to think of it, wasn't there a classic thread on here years and years and years back about a Mumsnetter who tied a pair of tights to her head for this very purpose?

Off to eat lunch with dh. Have made a three bean salad (both trying to be healthy): kidney beans, cannellini beans, borlotti beans, red onions, lemon j, mint, parsley, olive oil, s&p.

I desperately wanted to eat it with a piece of delicious baguette Zoo (bread is truly fab here!) but dh and I just about managed to contain ourselves and ate it on a bed of chopped up iceberg with some slices of tomatoes. It was good. But I am finding reducing my bread intake very hard indeed.

About to go for a drive across the hills. There is still far too much that needs doing before I have a bed to sleep in or clear floor but it is a start. Will have to do the rest when i get back...

Ug. Spectacularly demotivated today.

Glad DH’s running season is over now. He does have a work thing tomorrow but he can take the Caglets for part of it and he will be around in the evening. I am so tired. Now we can finally enjoy the fact he is now doing four day weeks. But on the flip side there are loads of trips this month which is great socially but is tiring and expensive. FFS. I feel really stressed by it ATM.

We are having potatoes with salad bits, eggs etc. Need to do a meal plan and food order. Aaaaaargh.

Hello. So I’m back from holiday and been attempting some flying today for the first time in a while.

Emptied bins

Going to do a power half hour to do some daily cleaning when kids finally asleep. Been out all afternoon so not had much chance to do stuff today.

Proper fresh start at this flying tomorrow when back to normal post hols... I hope!
