Well we turned our heating off at the weekend because it was going crazy and cooking us. It is now -2C and I am so cold I can't sleep!!!!!

Hoping a fresh hot water bottle will help. That and returning wind breaks to their winter (and daylight blocking) positions.

No flying yesterday as I went back to sleep in the morning and I was late back from school. I just had time to cook my tea. And sort out chicken enclosure. Henny Penny keeps escaping and was AWOL for 30 minutes probably longer. I was beginning to think a fox had got her but luckily no. She had ventured to the pub! When I found her she was demolishing snails ( English not French) outside the pub.
I did hang the washing out. Then ate tea and went to quiz. Only two of our team and two others joined us. We came last😢 big come down as we won three weeks in a row. Had top marks for joker round though.
Right must get up.
Really need to get up but tired. Can sleep in tomorrow. Busy day ahead today.

Some of our kids go from Yr 4 others Yr 5/6. I kept mine about me. I don't think there is any rush. You can work it out when the child is ready and do what you are doing Cags small achieve able steps which are successful. Short times in a familiar shopping precinct between certain shops is ok too for fifteen minutes. Home alone while I had cup of tea with friend 100 yes up the road. I think DS 1was about 13.
Buses foxed DD at first when she went to uni because there was lots of them and they had numbers on them. Ours is once a week and has a name😃

Sorry to hear that foxes. I'm having acupuncture for it at the moment. Going tonight. My shoulder was aching in the night and wouldn't rotate properly.

Sorry to hear people are feeling poorly.

Today is a little bit different as we have DD2 off school with a cold / sore throat/ feeling achy all over type thing although she seems a bit better now. Also DH is off as his days off at work got messed around. Very frustrating as I could have done some extra work today but we didn’t find out until last minute that he had the day off.

So we are making the most of it and are sorting out the kids’ rooms with desks that we had in the loft and put some other stuff into the loft for storage. The reality is that the cupboard of doom and DD1’s room will never be quite right without the proper storage but that will be too expensive atm so we can at least make them better and more functional.

So currently I am making lunch for us all and there is dust everywhere upstairs. Oka. Is to hopefully get DD2 sitting and having a rest this afternoon then one of us will need to get DD2 from school.

Also a special day is it is our cat’s birthday!!!!!! Hopefully she will be in for a fuss later and the girls have made cards. She has no interest in most cat toys so we have got her some nice food to have.

Welcome MissRegina love the name! We’ve recently started rewatching Friends, one of my favourite shows ever. Sympathies on the tramadol, DH was on that for a long time, heavy stuff. As for trying to get stuff done with a baby/toddler. Well.

I have a sleeping baby on me. Decided I’ll do ta da lists through the day this month as sometimes I forget at bedtime, and it’s motivating to see the ticks add up.

DP finally gone back to work today.i have got very lazy enjoying someone keep my warm at night and I've overslept more than once and done very little so we have had some time together

✅DH took DD1 to the doctor. She’d been complaining of a weird feeling in her throat and it hurt when she ate, last night he shone a torch in and there’s a giant blister 😬 doctor isn’t sure what it is, as she’s not particularly unwell and it doesn’t look like tonsillitis, I thought it may be an oddly positioned ulcer, but anyway they’ve taken a swab and given us a prescription for ABs to be filled in the meantime only if she becomes sick or feverish. Just need to wait and see what the lab says.
✅just did the last bit of home ed for the day, we recapped some plant science we did last year (first time they actually wrote notes in a book to record what we discussed) - we lapsed quickly at the time but are picking it up again, we are going to plant workshops later this month so good timing. I was impressed how much they remembered actually. Yay!

Have decided not to do the cake today as it takes so long to make it will clash with dinner - dc were disappointed but I've got their massive wooden train set out and that has cheered them up! Although ds would prefer the Thomas one...so many toys no wonder they all go missing

Oh and dinner tonight - chicken casserole with everything in one pot so should be relatively easy , hope so since dh working late for the next three weeks.
