Hi all, back in town, hideously humid and airless here! A normal working day here as we had Pentecost holiday last week.
Dizziness just about gone so I can volunteer (as a last hurrah!) for June if you like. I may need help in the last week and over some weekends though when I will be at wreck2 where Internet signal is still a bit intermittent.
Five weeks until summer holidays start
(in fact four weeks because last week (les delibés) teachers are marking exams so students only req'd to be in school for Mon & Fri). How the did that happen?
In fact, where have the first six months of the year gone?
Life is changing, we recently took delivery of a horse for me and dd to share, and I am going to be based more at wreck2 than here (when dh is around to supervise dd that is - she is still my number one priority of course and dh's office is only 30 seconds from home - and he is going to try and cut down on such extensive travel). I'm a bit sceptical about last bit (dh is the sort of person who can't really be contained in one house or town, or even one country for that matter - he likes living out of a suitcase and roaming the world - but we shall see whether my dastardly plan to establish an (eventual) retirement home for us both in the country will ever come to fruition .. . .
Anyway, enough of dreams ... back to reality this morning! Woke up before alarm at 6am so have ...
Ta da:
on-line supermarket order
ironed dd uniform
emptied dw
made dd packed lunch
hung up two loads washing to dry on terrace
fed wms again
walked the furry
To do:
"work" work: 3 hrs
make leek and celery soup (I know its wierd to be soup-making in this weather but I am dieting)
find a missing box
e-mail db about holiday arrangements
find a vital missing box!
boudoir!!
Also must tackle dd's room. I changed the sheets on her bed before we left for the weekend, took one look at the rest of it, and made a hasty retreat ...must return to it at some point ... [shudders]
Hope those of you in the UK have a lovely sunny Bank holiday!
Will be back to catch up with thread later!
