Or try to anyway!

All welcome! I am struggling to stay awake so I’ll do the proper thread stuff tomorrow, but if you’d like some encouragement and chat while you get your house sorted then this is the place for you. We follow flylady in a delightfully lax sort of fashion.

Special thanks to zoo for the title idea 💐 😘

I know I am really lucky to have her Foxes (a) she is totally fab and (b) she is mahoosively fast (takes me days to iron dh's business shirts). It would definitely be a better use of her time to be cleaning as this house is a bit overwhelming to put it mildly but I am one of those anal people who like to see neat stacks of clothes in drawers which is totally wierd really considering utter chaos reigns on many of the surfaces and floors around those very same drawers Blush

Saltcrust · 23/05/2018 12:34

Enjoy your picnic if you go Foxes! It's a lovely day for it!

Aw at crawling Cagletini and Star for the clothes sorting Cag.

Goth/Bower hope you are getting your full Monty's worth watching the Chelsea coverage atm Wink

Really proud of dd (just home - half day on Weds). She scored 9/10 for her test yesterday which was pretty good going saying she was drugged up to eyeballs and had been throwing up in the morning.

Cheery waves to everyone else!

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/05/2018 13:36

Aw SC yes you should be proud.what a trooper!
Cag crawling!!yikes
Foxes hope you enjoyed the chicken legs wherever decided to eat them
Dp at work

I've just had huge rare up with drunk lady from down road over state my front garden(rubbish/overgrown) I lost it after she called me and my garden a disgrace(well yelled it actually) and I told her in most unladylike/neighbourly fashion to fuck off back down her own end of the road.she replied was going to report me to social services and I laughed at her and said and she should concentrate on her alcohol issues and piss off and let me beBlush
Not my finest hour...
I am not spitting vehenomous rage(was seeing do out at time and never got to say goodbye) so i feel some angry cleaning coming on

Saltcrust · 23/05/2018 13:42

Oh how horrible for you Zoo Flowers Cake and a reassuring Bear. Take no notice luv.

foxessocks · 23/05/2018 13:55

That sounds horriblezoo! Flowers

dd decided she'd rather have a picnic at home today , think she's a bit tired and so is ds (now asleep thank goodness!) The chicken legs were a good idea though they are her favourite! The weather is lovely although actually quite chilly in the breeze!

I have done a power hour again.
Ta da
Daily routine
More laundry
15 minutes decluttering dh clothes because he never will - I haven't actually chucked anything (I'm not that mean!) just done a pile of things that look really old and tatty for him to decide on.
10 minute you tube work out (need to find a better time to fit it in preferably before my shower in the morning if I can make the time...)
Had a look at form for committee need to scan it so will get dh to help later

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/05/2018 14:51

Thanks guys, still gets to me a bit.she scared lil zoo ranting at me other week nnlil zoo ran home...

Anyhoo I decided angry cleaning way forward.power hour or whatever you call it has been productive

Tada
Tidy hall
Quick tidy front room,sweep floor
Scrub living room, kitchen and hall floors on hands and knees
Hoover stairs and landing
It now looks presentable and smells of linen zoflora.a welcome change from open front door to a bombsite explosion of belongings on floor and combo stench of something not removed from lunch again festering in school bags(older two,who I take no responsibility for emptying contents of bags) and sometimes whiff of just had a poo in littertray......

Saltcrust · 23/05/2018 15:47

Foxes my dh is a total nightmare when it comes to throwing away old clothes because he gets sentimentally attached to them. If I presented him with a pile of jettison suggestions then he would hang on to all of it so I have to sneak them away surreptiously which sounds harsh but he never notices and believe me I have tried all other methods. His work clothes are quite formal but on his days off he goes around wearing jumpers with holes in, trousers that are nearly worn through at the knee, shoes with the soles falling off... honestly... he would tie up his trousers with string if he had the chance Grin So when I do eventually put them in the bed (when he is away) he has worn them literally to shreds ifysim so I don't feel too guilty about it!

Poor you Zoo it's very stressful living in close proximity to tricky neighbours. In this case it definitely sounds like it is the drink talking. Well done re: the productive hangry cleaning!

I am feel quite inspired today decluttering wise! I have no idea why! I felt as though I was wading through treacle on Mon and Tues! Think it must be because the dizziness (touch wood) is more or less gone. (I hope I haven't just jinxed myself by typing that out!)

I have introduced X3 of "surprise decluttering sessions" in to my weekly schedule (such as it is) on Mons, Weds and Fris. This is because house has got to the stage now that, although it is still very cluttered, the clutter is organised in to boxes or at least in discrete areas. Well, nearly. Anyway, this has allowed me to "see" the various things which need tackling more clearly instead of it being just one big mess. But when I schedule the decluttering of a certain box on a certain day I somehow lose all enthusiasm for doing it. So now I "surprise" myself by swooping on something fresh, without having build the task up in my mind and dreading it first ifyswim and procrastinating. (Hope some of that makes sense to someone on here anyway??) I am convinced that, like dieting, 95% of this decluttering lark is about overcoming mental blocks.

All of that was a terribly long and boring way of saying that, um, I have decluttered and thrown away a pile of scraggy old clothes in the laundry today Grin

I am also (3 more to go) in the process of prepping dh's work shirts for wash.

Oh and bum, keep forgetting that Wednesday is my new bed-making day (previously did it on Sats but we are virtually always away now).

Still need to polish dh's shoes too which is still on list.

GoingGoingGoth · 23/05/2018 15:48

Zoo 43! Your resolve is outstanding. I would have cracked.

Been at work in Edinburgh this morning so that's wiped out most of the day. Only a few Ta-dahs

Beds
Feed birds
DD to school
Posting

DH bought a litter picker today. The scrufffy buggers upstairs neighbours leave their rubbish bags on their balcony so we end up with a garden full of litter - mainly disposable cleaning wipes. I ended up threatening them with Environmental Health last year. It's revolting we don't know what could come down next. Angry
So DH is now leaving their crap in a tidy pile on their stairs.

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/05/2018 16:11

Where did you get the litter picker goth?
I have a corner house on a long rd that goes into cul-de-sacs.my garden gets loads crap blown/thrown into it and I live in an area bottles can be filled unsavoury bodily fluids so I don't relish clearing up even in marigolds!!

foxessocks · 23/05/2018 17:33

I will be back soon with proper replies but just while I'm finishing off dinner...I have noticed I have a lot of lemons to use up. What shall I do with them any tasty suggestions?! So far I've thought of lemon drizzle cake...

foxessocks · 23/05/2018 17:39

sc my dh may well reach that stage and I may be forced to take action re his clothes. So far not too much to get rid of and I'm hoping he'll agree to at least 50% to go...! Sorry for suggesting you were mean though! Grin

Sausages mash and onion gravy tonight.

And yes lemon suggestions would be much appreciated! Smile

Saltcrust · 23/05/2018 17:50

foxessocks · 23/05/2018 19:33

Ooh lemon meringue pie I've never made that! Thanks zoo and thanks for that link sc going to read through it properly now. All looks good!

I've just had the most painful indigestion / trapped wind / I've no idea what, ever, I was crying on the living room floor. Thankfully the pain has started to ease but I still can't move! No idea wtf that's all about. It came on so suddenly dh had to take over reading dd stories after he put ds to bed.

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/05/2018 20:05

Oh dear foxes suck mint?

Cagliostro · 23/05/2018 20:31

I’ve had a total waste of an evening. About to attempt putting Cagletini down for the second time in order to fit in a quick workout. She woke up and screamed before! So I have done nothing but faff about online.
