Hello everyone,
Welcome to the Flylady thread for April, where we follow (sort of) the Flylady system with baby steps, missions, daily focuses (foci?!) and decluttering. But more than that, we are a supportive bunch where we share the trials and tribulations of everyday life. We post our to do and ta da lists and chat a whole lot.
Newbies, lurkers and returners always welcome!
Back tonight with links for tomorrow!

So sorry to hear about your friend Toostressy Flowers

Cagliostro · 28/04/2018 16:42

Sorry about all the ill health and the bad news too.

I am just getting used to having proper coat pockets. I didn’t replace my old coat for ages and couldn’t use the pockets because they had holes in! But I have a new coat, I still don’t like to overload pockets though as they get heavy and annoying

If you were a milk free chocolate easter egg that was bought earlier and put in a safe place where the fuck would you be hiding?! I still can;t find ds' easter I bought this year. Hmm

GoingGoingGoth · 28/04/2018 17:38

Cags feel free to take May.

Didn't get all my list done yesterday but did sort out some blockage in the washing machine and make my 10k steps which is not going to happen today.

Well I'm officially losing the plot. Turned up to an appointment. No record of appointment being made Confused. Second time that's happened this week.

We have a surplus of cake here so Cake for anyone that needs it. It looks awful but tastes better today! Grin

Saltcrust · 28/04/2018 19:31

I'vefamily you forget how you don't need a bag when you have a pram. (Used to love our pram.) Like Toostressy I now have kitchen sink variety handbags. And I'm at the age where I rummage in them too Blush

Really good of you to do May CAG Bear Cake Halo. Hope you can work out some sort of satisfactory routine with your DH (ideally one in which you both get some down time although I'm sure that's easier said than done in reality!)

Also very good of you to offer Goth Cake Bear Flowers and you've reminded me that I need to get my pedometers working again!

Somewhere high up Hills?

Oh no to second appt cancelled Foxes!

Wing flaps to all!

Bowerbird5 · 28/04/2018 20:47

Loved mine. My sister ruined it but it is in the shed because I can't bear to throw it out and hope to find someone to restore it one day. It is a blue coach built pram.

Hi everyone. Great flying.
Toostressy I have finally surfaced, checks around, no sign of window cleaners, gets out of bed.
No, actually part of the reason was I had no PJs on! Didn't want him falling off his ladder.
Hills bedroom wardrobe? I did laugh when I read that. Sort of thing I would do. Anyone think where I might have put diamond ring?
DH had someone in my bed room new cable without DH being there and my grams ring was out I took it put it away and haven't found it since. About five years ago. Checked all hand bags and lots of other places but never found it. I am gutted I loved the ring and the fact she left it to me( we each received a piece of jewellery) and it is quite valuable.

Daily focus was family fun, I always fail at that bit
No missions blah blah blah

I am stressing out big time about something we are supposed to be doing tomorrow, trying to figure out if it’s actually possible, and having a very rare moment of “I really wish I could drive” :(

I have tried all the high places I can think of. TBH I have tried ALL the places I can think of. Ds is going to check to see if he took it to his dad's.

No teenagers were actually harmed in the passing of today. Although sanity has taken a holiday in self denfense and self preservation. HmmAngry fucking obsessive impulsive behaviour

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 29/04/2018 06:55

Ds3 up at 5 again. Ive been half asleep on the sofa with him while he watched peppa for over an hour. Hes now massaging weetabix into his face. Hmm

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/04/2018 06:59

Stilllivinginazoo · 29/04/2018 07:01

Is Weetabix a good exfoliator I've?
My skin is very dry and flaky...

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 29/04/2018 07:11

No it is not. It is thick stick and hard to remove with a hose. I would not recommend. Hmm He is now sulking because i cleaned him up

You all make me really look forward to teenagers Shock

Ivegotfamilyandidrinkcupsoftea · 29/04/2018 07:12

*sticky

Bowerbird5 · 29/04/2018 07:44

Sugar and oil with a drop of lemon to make a scrub. Leaves skin silky. Never consider Weetabix. 😁

Yesterday morning I had a phone call from a neighbour to say Hetty Hen 🐓was wrecking her garden😱 she had got out and was TWO houses away. Turned out she was scratting in the chippings 🐔not the rockery thank goodness. Had quite a job getting her home. In the end I went back for seed and she followed. Had to return and brush the yard! 🐓 naughty girl is in the pen now.On a good note she has laid an egg every day this week. Great big organic eggs.🍳

zoo Whoo hoo for the ceiling. I hate painting ceilings.

Stayed up and watched Vera x2 on catch up. Now awake but tired. Hip aching.
I'm finding I am sometimes getting through more at a time with Fly lady. I did whole bedroom the other day as once tidy i am trying to keep it that way and then just the mopping and dusting. Try to do bed every day but always did. I find the clothes the worst thing. Home Bleugh didn't get done this week as I went to Embroiderer's Guild. What a varied and creative lot they are.

Bare essentials on Sunday plus hopefully planting seedlings. Potting on plugs. Enjoyable things to set me up for the week and church plus choir.
Had garlic herb chicken( shhh!) fillets and lemon rice, carrots yesterday. Not sure about today. Might nip to M&S mini shop for something on way back from church.
Hope you have a lovely day with your families. I miss that but not the football runs.

Bowerbird5 · 29/04/2018 07:46

You can grab hold of toddlers and wash they're faces. Not so with teenagers and sometimes you would like to wash they're mouths out!

Bowerbird5 · 29/04/2018 07:49

zoo next time add some chocolate to the bag and a cup of something and disappear into the garden for a bit( preferably next doors) or the shed. I found that restorative with teens.

HillsBesideTheSea · 29/04/2018 10:44

to be fair I've my teenager is an aspie - the obsessive compulsive behaviour that was driving me mad yesterday is very little different from when he was 2,5,9 etc years old. The only difference is that instead of yelling screaming and self harming because of the word no, he now follows you around the house to have the same fucking conversation in a billion different ways to try to trip you up so you accidentally say yes!

bower you would only have tried that with my toddler if you liked being bitten and had no wish to keep your eyes in your head. You could chuck him in a bath though and he was a tame kitten for great grandad or Great Grandma

Sunday 29th April
www.flylady.net/d/getting-started/31-beginner-babysteps/day-29/
Daily focus is renew thy spirit
We are moving into zone errrm I’ve lost count. Living room? I’ll do the proper links for that tomorrow as there are no missions on weekends anyway.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We didn’t go to the thing I was stressing about. DD actually wasn’t that fussed anyhow. Basically due to location and Sunday bus service we would have been waiting around for hours potentially in the rain. So just no. Saves money too.

Relatives popping over tomorrow as it’s one of their birthdays. Need to tidy up. Caglets only playing out until 5 so hopefully can get some shit sorted with them after. Want to walk to the shops because I need chocolate dammit!

In the interests of renewing my spirit. Or rather because I was so tired I couldn’t help it. I had a nap! 😴😴😴

Cagliostro · 29/04/2018 16:42

😂 also nope they got a small one from us and a few mini eggs in a hunt. Lasted about a week 😂

Oh well the Caglets and a couple of friends are walking to the shops on their own for the first time 😱😱😱 I am getting the bus to meet them. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. They are 10 10 9 and 8. 10 minute walk,
