1)Why does my laundry always come out so crumpled? I don't have a tumble dryer if that makes a difference and don't think I could afford one!
Do you use a high spin speed? It reduces drying time, but ups the creases. I always spin mine on a much lower spin than the machine is capable of. Also, take it out of the washing machine quickly. I do not always do this, and regret it when I don't. My washer and tumble dryer have a creaseguard setting and I always use it. Not sure what it does, but I hate ironing, so figure it's worth a shot.
2)Anyone who has a cordless hoover would you recommend it? Worthwhile investment even if my hoover does work fine but is very bulky and heavy
I love my cordless Dyson. It's a very expensive model that we got when DH won a competition at work. He actually won a massive TV, but asked his boss to swap it for a freezer we could put in the garage and a cordless vacuum. He didn't even ask me, but he knew that's what I wanted. Sometimes I remember why I married him in the first place.
Anyway, it's great. Is it £450 worth of great though? I'm not sure. I certainly hoover about three times as often as I used to, because it is so easy. There's loads of stairs in this house, and I love it for those. It's suction is much better than our old incredibly ancient upright Dyson (bought before they switched production out of the UK.)
But... Amazing as it is... I do think it is very expensive for what you get.
- what cleaning products do you use for surfaces bathroom or kitchen? Does anyone make their own sprays or anything like that ? I never know what to buy! There's so much in the shops different wipes and sprays it confuses me confused
I use Viakal in the bathroom on any shower screens and taps because our water is incredibly hard. I have been known to use neat vinegar on our stainless steel sink in the kitchen because of this. I use flash bathroom spray and flannels (originally from the baby department of Ikea) for everywhere else. And anti bac wipes for quick cleaning.
I have cheapy antibac spray for quick surface cleaning in the kitchen, and a Flash lemon gel thing for deep cleans that is often on multibuy offers or in poundstretcher type shops. More anti bac wipes, but I try to use them more sparingly these days.
Not much flying done. DS has an ear and throat infection that is still lingering on.
