Hello everyone,
Welcome to the Flylady thread for April, where we follow (sort of) the Flylady system with baby steps, missions, daily focuses (foci?!) and decluttering. But more than that, we are a supportive bunch where we share the trials and tribulations of everyday life. We post our to do and ta da lists and chat a whole lot.
Newbies, lurkers and returners always welcome!
Back tonight with links for tomorrow!

Saltcrust · 15/04/2018 12:50

But - to try and put a bit of positivity in to mix - feel as though I am finally in the right and proper mind set to jettison and CHUCK STUFF OUT!!!!

(SC tries to roar instead of usual whimper ...)

foxessocks · 15/04/2018 13:07

Dh had unexpected day off today...we have been to Morrisons. Exciting times Grin

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/04/2018 13:22

I've said an hour cleaning at break neck speed then we can play some games together as girls are back to school tom

Stilllivinginazoo · 15/04/2018 13:23

Who are oilers?!Shockhasn try give me a second batch of slippery children?!
Should,of course,have read zoolets tsk

CotswoldStrife · 15/04/2018 13:40

Oilers! Love it! I'll have the coffee rather than the expression though as I tick my DD off for pulling faces to make me guess rather than just telling me what she wants. Like a test or something Angry

I need to start making the costume today. I have fabric and thread, it's not a complicated one the way I make it so not too bad. Just debating whether to go out for a treat (before shopping, may not have told DD that bit though).

Precious little flying so far. I am keeping up with the washing up though. We seem to use a phenomenal amount of stuff in the form of oven trays and steamer bowls (electric steamer) which I don't put in the dishwasher.

Cag a commended is fab esp in Jive which is so fast. She must have good retraction!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Waves to SC.

Grin at oilers!

Had a good week with the Book Fair and then taking the boys on a quick jaunt over to France, which was fun, but now need to get back into gear for school and work, and back to routines.

House nearly back to normal, and done a bit of gardening this w/e as the sun has finally made a re-appearance.

Saltcrust · 15/04/2018 13:42

Hello all Smile.

Ta da:-
Met up with friends
Lunch eaten at Wetherspoons where I spend my life with DDs it feels like so can do snack tea later
Laundry in washer

To do:-
Amuse DDs
Prep tea etc
Online food shop

Later:-
Sort all school stuff as back tomorrow

foxes, I meant to ask, hope not too much damage from clipping your car?

Cag, what’s the app? I did download moment but deleted it as it seemed to take so long to set up. I want something that will limit access to Mumsnet and Facebook basically as they are my biggest time wasters. Limiting time on my phone itself is not hugely helpful because, as you say, I use it for emails, looking up useful stuff, watching tv and occasionally phoning and messaging people.

SC, also nosy excited to hear reason for 10 week deadline.

Aaaaaggh summer holidays coming. This year my plan to deal with them is to copy a friend who makes a list of things that her DC would like to do. Some cheap, some a bit more expensive and then that gives some options for the holidays. Also planning a chart (for me Grin) to count down to the end of the holidays. I’ll be going to work two days a week for a rest.

Big wing flaps to everyone.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 15/04/2018 14:05

Dh and dc have gone for a pre dinner bike ride so I'm home alone . I have properly renewed my spirit today , I've been reading my book uninterrupted for hours this afternoon ShockShock I literally can't remember the last time I have read so much in one go. And I even played the piano for a bit.

The rabble will be back any minute and I need to get my honey roast parsnips in the oven. Dinner is roast chicken parsnips mash carrots and brocolli tonight.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 15/04/2018 17:59

Just a bad case of selfish dickhead syndrome ....

Cagliostro · 15/04/2018 18:22

I don’t even know what retraction is in dance TBH cotswold I just leave her to it! She won’t practise in front of me. She does do gym stuff at home though.

The app I use is moment stressy I don’t think I had to set anything up though? I just had to allow notifications and leave the app running. Mind you I haven’t set it to actually limit anything, just monitor it. I’m too much of a wimp to do otherwise.

I have wasted another day. I hate Sundays. I’m all stressed and need to fix it but also have absolutely fuck all motivation.

We have decided to start weaning on Wednesday. She will be a week off six months but 100% has all the readiness signs (has done for a good few weeks TBH). The scary thing is we are going all out BLW this time and that means she is offered what we eat. And I have not been doing well with food really. So I am thinking a meal plan is the only way forward for the moment really. Might just offer her lunch for the first week or something as I have more time to cook in the day (as we are back to the after school clubs next week). Want to clean the fridge out too. Eek.
