Welcome to the Flylady thread for April, where we follow (sort of) the Flylady system with baby steps, missions, daily focuses (foci?!) and decluttering. But more than that, we are a supportive bunch where we share the trials and tribulations of everyday life. We post our to do and ta da lists and chat a whole lot.

zoo we are about an hour from the seaside. Maybe bit less depending where you want to go. We went to a nice quiet pebbly seaside today. Lots of rock pools, nice pub lunch.

Omg. Is age 4 an emotional age?! Dd hasnt gone to sleep yet...she's crying because she wants to go back to Grandma and grandads house we've told her she can another day really soon even...but that isn't good enough! Now she's crying because when she starts school she'll have to buy new shoes and she just wants her old ones

We are about 2 hours from the beach. But have a choice of several in the range of 2 hrs.

I ended up in Ikea today - probably why I haven't made it fulky through my to do list! It was actually not too busy - I loathe it but having a party next week and they do 6 prosecco flutes for £2.50 which is bargainous. My day didn't pan out as planned - DDs wanted to do baking so lost a good 90 minutes there with clear up!

hills we had an incident with lil zoo cut foot on bastard shells on waterline one year....

Toostressy, you can put your ikea family membership into the app, and then they can scan your phone at the café for your free coffee and at the checkout for the free insurance. I love the ikea app - I look at it waaaaaay too much!

Speaking of gardens, I just bought a rotary washing line in the hope that one day I will have a garden to put it in, and not a wasteland of rotting wood, mud and slate chippings. It's a dream that I thought you lot would understand.

Myds was up at the same time afresh he was clinging to me like a limpet so lay down together for a while but then gave up and made myself a coffee. Typically now I've done that I've come back upstairs to find him snoring. So I've put him back in his bed. Not sure whether to bother going back to bed myself.

Call me I've been badgering dh to put our line back up for ages but there's other things in the garden that need doing first so it can be put in the right place or something. So I do understand and am wondering if by the time we get the washing line up it may well be next winter...

Ah IKEA...I do fancy a trip but decided against it in the holidays. I would like some of their storage stuff. I'm still obsessing over storage!!

Teeth seem ok atm. Touch wood.

He is not a cuddles in bed kind of boy unfortunately. Cuddles on the sofa yes but not in bed where i might encourage him back to sleep!

I love Ikea. I really want some more Kallax for dcs rooms. Trying to work out if its affordable this month or not. Also miffed that delivery for a single tall 4 box unit is much more than for a square 4 box unit. I hate paying delivery

I discovered at 730 last night kits eating last of their food(had ask dd2 check levels before went shopping)
They are now going barmy,desperate for breakfast that normally happens at 5-530....
Asda opens at 7 so I going wake everyone shortly to go get some.as D's decide keep lil zoo awake til gone 11as I'd confiscated his devices(I've learnt he sits on u tube with damn phone in night)this is going to be "interesting" ......

Well things didn't go to plan again but there you go. DH & DS!
Anyway I did get lunch out and garden centre yesterday but they didn't have potting bench. Bought a present for friend's b'day and some sweet peas. I was going to grow from seed but it will be quicker. Did loads in the garden on Monday both DS 2's and ours. I now have a new plastic green house which I picked up at the end of last year and it was a bargain. I think DH thought he was going to be needed. I put it up myself by laying things out methodically first and reading the plan instructions. DH doesn't bother then wonders why he sometimes gets it wrong...billy bookcase with one shelf the wrong way around! There are others!
I was chuffed with myself as it wasn't very clear as diagram small though sheet of paper was A4! I was quite excited as it is much bigger than the old ones you can go inside and stand up in this one. I have shelving on one side. I managed to squeeze it next to the raised beds and before the shed door by about 10cm! DH couldn't manage to say " well done." Just" oh it is bigger than I thought it would be." Boys are going to buy a potting bench for me. We looked yesterday but very flimsy for £54. I saw one for £80 a few days ago so may go back for that. I am tempted to make one as there are great plans on the Internet.
I'm thinking I can escape when house or DH gets too much/annoying!
Just waiting to hear if DS surgery is on or off. He waited all day last week and then it was cancelled. Small op but complicated I believe. Resetting bones. He has arranged plumber so might have to go there. Just having tea and should know by 9:30. We did have plans but heigh ho. First plan DH has made and told me about.😛

I love your word bargainous! Going to pinch that. My greenhouse was bargainous!
Plan for today is no plans as sick of planning things for others to change it all. Some washing involved. Gardening if weather ok. It was bloody freezing yesterday. Wet and 7 C all day.
We don't go back till Monday thank goodness. I have some colouring to do and planning for some. Yep going to DS house so take it with me.

Yep zoo we saw Mary and the Witch’s Flower, it was gorgeous! 😍 It had a little interview at the start too, where they also talked about how they are a new start from Ghibli really lovely film anyway, Caglets loved it and managed the subtitles (I was worried DD wouldn’t as she lost her glasses). Cagletini fed/slept throughout and I only took her out when she woke up very chatty and chirpy, didn’t want her disturbing people (it is most definitely a children’s film, but apart from our lot there was only one other kid there!) turned out it was 5 mins till the end anyway so didn’t miss anything really.

Zoo agree re bloody rain. We are caked in mud from our day out today it was so wet and boggy and slippery!

Dinner in oven - macaroni cheese with peas and home made croutons on top. It's very heavy on the cheese - just what I need after today!

foxes . Also zoo that sounds tough re dental treatment for DD2. Yes Afesh, ikea delivery is so expensive when their stuff itself is so cheap. Totally understand about garden Callme. I think I’ve said on here before that our garden used to be pretty unsafe for young children and then we had it sorted and it made such a difference.

Well today I am so annoyed with myself as we missed the recycling bin collection . Purely due to being disorganised . Aside from that though it has been a nice day.

Went to ikea. Didn’t buy anything (except the kids chose a toy each) but pretty much decided what to get. Have to get it delivered as wouldn’t fit in car. Was so good to actually look at things. I couldn’t quite get my head around the difference between kallax and trofast for example but totally do now I have seen both. We also got some ideas for DD1’s room in the future. Am very excited as planning to get trofast now for our cupboard of doom. DH asked how I could be excited about getting storage for a cupboard that nobody would see but I knew you guys would understand .
Had lunch at restaurant in retail park
Went to soft play.
Girls nearly asleep.
Tea eaten and dishwasher on.

Possibly sew swimming badges on. I really don’t want to but will feel even less like doing it tomorrow night.
A good before bed routine. Need to gerbil stuff ready for work and the girls to go to holiday club tomorrow. Will be a massive shock to the system!
