Hello everyone,
Welcome to the Flylady thread for April, where we follow (sort of) the Flylady system with baby steps, missions, daily focuses (foci?!) and decluttering. But more than that, we are a supportive bunch where we share the trials and tribulations of everyday life. We post our to do and ta da lists and chat a whole lot.
Newbies, lurkers and returners always welcome!
Back tonight with links for tomorrow!

have a good day everyone.

JMAngel1 · 10/04/2018 07:33

Hope you feel better foxes.

Cagliostro · 10/04/2018 11:59

Sorry about the tummy ache, sleepless nights etc.

Cagletini did 4+ hours in her bed so not the best but still an upward trend generally I think.

Really need to set a date for getting her cotbed ordered. And then we will need to get rid of stuff. I don’t think I’ll keep the pram bit of the buggy - I know these travel systems probably have a high resale value but we just have no space, it’s not in perfect condition, and the pushchair bit plus chassis is so unlikely to be in good nick by the time we have finished with it (I may end up getting a light stroller eventually, like the one we have kept at mum’s flat, but I definitely plan to keep using the Giggle long term, I have never loved a buggy this much!) so I just don’t think it’s worth the stress. In the past we’ve kept things for selling but then ended up not managing to. I’d rather just be done with it.

I’ve already said the bath chair, bouncy chair and Moses basket can go to DN if she wants them, which she’s happy with. It’s early in the pregnancy TBF but they have much more space than us, and I’m going to say that they can take them next time they visit (aka descend upon us with an hour’s notice Hmm) or we will donate them to charity instead. SIL (who she lives with) will have to be ok with that since she is often telling off DH for the cluttered house Hmm and saying how we need to get rid of stuff (duh) :o.

Clothes I don’t mind holding on to for a bit - I need to finish sorting them, neutral clothes have a couple of homes to go to already, but I’m happy to pack up all the girly stuff and wait and see if she needs them. But the big stuff takes up far too much room and there is no way I’m holding on to it for anyone else. I need to get assertive!

Cagliostro · 10/04/2018 12:11

She will be hopefully finding out the sex at 20w by the way, I wouldn’t keep them until due date as we will have moved by then! Also have an MN friend (who is getting some neutral clothes as they don’t know the sex until birth) who could potentially have them if a girl.

Sorry the previous post went a bit ranty didn’t it 😳 just a bit sick of always bending over backwards for everyone else really and trying to gain some control over something, anything!

All that said I am ridiculously unmotivated today. I had a long bath although most of that time was spent detangling my hair 😳😨

OP posts:
Afreshcuppateaplease · 10/04/2018 12:29

cag i got 200 for my giggle after a year of use, the carrycot should collapse back down if you did want to try keeping it!

I am on SUCH a go slow

Urgh

Afreshcuppateaplease · 10/04/2018 12:31

Btw i stopped using the giggle at 12 months as ds3s head was touching the top of the bloody hood! Hopefully you will get longer out of it if cagletini is not as MASSIVE as he is

Cagliostro · 10/04/2018 12:59

Thanks afresh totally didn’t realise it was collapsible (DH did it all while I was still in hospital). I’m not sure, I get so stressed about selling things, I don’t use eBay anymore, I get too anxious that people will say the item isn’t good enough etc. Maybe I would sell on FB. Maybe. I do want to sell my sling though, when I’m ready for a bigger one. She’s only just reached 50th centile (autocorrect keeps changing that to centipede 🐛) for weight BTW, no idea for height! I hope I can use it a long time.

Do you know if the pram liner is washable? It’s made of that weird material that seems to attract dust but isn’t wipeable. 😐

Off out tonight, the Caglets and I are seeing a film with DSD. It doesn’t start till 8 😴 but it’s a kids film, it’s just that it’s anime so a niche audience. At least DD is off melatonin so won’t be sleepy anyway. Still waiting to see when we are meeting DSD and if we are eating together first, she needs to help her sister with something first but it’s all a bit up in the air.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 10/04/2018 13:04

cag i washed mine several times it was ok! The inside of the carrycot also comes out and can be washed. Carrycot collapses very easily. You could also look at preloved for selling i have used that a few times. If you do sell just take lots of pictures and point out any scratches etc. Ive sold several prams and never had an issue with people saying it wasnt good enough at the end of the day they are getting a bargin! I think people who want perfect dont buy second hand!

Xpost zoo sorry your day has been so stressful!

Cagliostro · 10/04/2018 16:38

Oh that sucks zoo :(

Plans made, DSD requested McDonald’s before the film so only meeting at 7 in case of queues. Continuing to do bugger all until then.

OP posts:
TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 10/04/2018 17:11

Oh how annoying zoo.

Hope you all enjoy the film Cag.

Ta da:-
Both DDs appear tired Grin
DD1 did her Brownies activity
DD2 and I went swimming then snuggled up and watched a film Smile.
Phoned someone about something needing doing in the house and they are coming to look later on this week
Failed though as went online to book Ann activity for tomorrow and all the good slots are gone. Why didn’t I book earlier Angry?!
Tea eaten although DD2 turned her nose up and hate hardly any of it despite requesting that particular food. She is normally not fussy with food so gave her the benefit of the doubt that it is tiredness related.
Both girls have had a shower earlier so no need for it later.

To do:-
Encourage girls into PJs
Bedtime
Wash up. Lots of washing up needed despite very little food eaten Angry. The joys of meals with D.C.! At least I have lunch sorted for work on Thursday now as can put a portion of leftovers in freezer.

DH wants to go to ikea tomorrow. Will we all still be speaking to each other by the end of the day after venturing there in school holidays Confused?!

Must get on.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 10/04/2018 17:12

an activity. Nothing to do with anyone called Ann Grin.

Stilllivinginazoo · 10/04/2018 17:12

Are you far from the sea foxes?our nearest almost 2 HR away

Afreshcuppateaplease · 10/04/2018 18:13

Our nearest seaside is about 2 hours away too. And its blackpool so you know not the best beach Blush

Callmecordelia · 10/04/2018 18:51

I live by the sea. Smile

Just popping up to say holidays are screwing with any flying, we have another week of them, and the bastard electrics have a fault in the garage so I can't run the washer and dryer at the same time. The landscape gardeners are proving tricky, I am worried about the job....

Sorry you haven't had a good day Zoo.

Toostressy I recommend having a list on the ikea app to minimise stress. It has all the picking locations on it, and as you pick up you can swipe things off.

Enjoy the film Cag.

Pleased you've had a nice but misty day Foxes.

Stilllivinginazoo · 10/04/2018 18:57
