Hello everyone,
Welcome to the Flylady thread for April, where we follow (sort of) the Flylady system with baby steps, missions, daily focuses (foci?!) and decluttering. But more than that, we are a supportive bunch where we share the trials and tribulations of everyday life. We post our to do and ta da lists and chat a whole lot.

Daily focus is do something for yourself, I’d like to think we don’t need the link for that :o
I’m guessing we are in zone 2 but website isn’t updated. Anyway it’s the weekend so

So glad it’s not just me with the links! 😳 TBH I am still in the “you can’t clean clutter” stage but I’m planning on FLYing properly when we are in the new house.

✅Caglets did drying, it’s now on sofa ready to be joined by the next lot tomorrow
✅went to town, Caglets stayed with neighbour
✅bought sippy cup and sterilising tablets
✅dropped library book off and spoke to children’s specialist about setting up a club
✅went to sorting office but it was closed so picking up parcel is a ta didn’t
✅got on/off bus at different stops to get a little walk
✅bought easy food for dinner
✅booked optician appt for DD
✅collected rubbish
✅some washing up

So no decluttering today but happy just to have got through the day TBH. Plan for tomorrow is to get up and tidy a bit (easier in the mornings really as baby tends to be chirpier and goes longer between feeds) then go to town, if early enough introduce the Caglets to the beauty of a macdonalds breakfast :o and then go and see DH do his last hour or so. He’s on target to reach his goal if all goes to plan.

Need sleep but baby is super chatty! Cute though.

Meant to say foxes yay for piano arrival day, I was also unable to play when mine first arrived here as DS who was 1 at the time was asleep on me! Have you tried it out yet?

I didn’t play today or read or anything really. Doubt I will tomorrow but I will disappear for a long bath ASAP

cag I played for about 20 minutes in the end but interrupted by ds crashing the keys and dd shouting "hit it mum!!" constantly! Then ds misunderstood and actually hit me!

I check the zone and click on the mission (doesn't mean I always do it but there we go!)

Oh no 🤦‍♀️ frustrating playing with little ones wanting to ‘help’ isn’t it! I’m hoping that Rowan will grow up used to it 😬

I haven’t moved yet, I really should as lots to sort out before we leave. DSDs are coming back with us, so we can give them their birthday presents (DH hasn’t wrapped them yet, it was his job and I can’t reach them in the cupboard!) and probably have a takeaway.

Need to get dressed, sort Cagletini, and attack the mess that is the living room all in about 40 minutes 😬🧐 then leaving to get breakfast and see DH, he’s really disappointed and is not going to meet his target now. 😰 Not sure if that means he will want to try again next year 🙄

Aaaaaand I forgot that it’s sunday (easter holidays throwing me all out of routine) so we are all ready to go and there’s no buses for half an hour 🤦‍♀️😡😳

Cosatto question please afresh the raincover that goes on the pram, is it also supposed to fit on the pushchair bit?

They spent some of their money which is not really a ta da but I am trying to let them do this a bit more so they (DD1 in particular) can learn more about how much things cost.

I have managed to get some of my work ‘homework’ done but still have a fair bit to do .

Thank you cordelia it’s ok though I put her name when I posted on here that she’d (finally) arrived, so it’s nothing new (and definitely no more outing than some of the other stuff I’ve posted lately )

Well DH did less miles than last year so he’s not happy, lot of hip trouble :( however in another sense I think he did better this year as only 11 people out of 41 even finished, the rest gave up (including many far more seasoned at endurance running than him) and he placed higher too. He is convinced he definitely won’t do it again...

I am now sitting in the bathroom with a hairdryer. The bath leaked again. FFS. Did give me an excuse to lock myself away though, Caglets are happy with DSDs and a Simpsons DVD and DH is having a quick nap, we shall all reconvene at 5pm for pizza but for now I’m quite glad of the silence. Well apart from the hairdryer. Unless baby needs feeding I shall stay here.

Why is there always something?

I have been AWOL with combo bastard feral teens fucking up wires in virgin box up road and no mobile data plus crash n burned with depression (part bought on by isolation without you guys and damn zoolets on constant wind up looks at dd2 with daggers )

Been in all fed no one dead mode two days.place at hovel status
Had ants all over kitchen floor this morning
2slugs in front room
Two bugger off huge spiders have terrified bejesus out of lil zoo and had be hunted down and removed

Decluttered a BRC from our bedroom
Went through all toys in living room with DDs. Only got rid of a few broken bits but actually they do play with them all and they seem a bit more organised for now anyway. DH has found some nice furniture in IKEA online for the living room which can go on a wish list.

I’m a bit late but here———————————> Cotswold. If you have stopped for the night it might need to do for the morning!

I have just had a 10 minute faff on here and now I am going to do 15 mins before bed routine and a 10 minute house tidy. I read on one of the many threads I read about tidy houses that a 10 minute tidy up at the end of the day is the way to go. We shall see. Then I intend to watch telly .

Sorry for your DH Cag, still an awesome achievement but it is always rubbish to feel disappointed.

Well, frantic cleaning and tidying for my parents undermined as they scattered things all over the house. Was an OK visit though, with some nice days out. House back to normal now. I'm away next week thoughost and DH in charge of the boys, so remains to be seen what the state will be after that!

Baby’s in bed, I will sleep shortly! But have been browsing online looking at all the next stage baby things that need buying 😬😱

✅extra walking - we got a different bus that meant we needed to walk a little way to see DH, and we all also did a couple of laps with him round the track (walking not running! He only (!) ran the first 12 hours)
✅all children’s clothes away
✅ages sorting out wet floor and ceiling - this could so easily have tipped me over the edge today, but I managed ok
✅bed before midnight

Not sure what we will get done tomorrow really. DH was supposed to be off work to recover but they messed up his holiday request DSS is taking the older two out pokemon hunting so will have a bit of peace. Got taekwondo in the evening and need to order Tesco, and talk to DH about ordering the cot bed and various other things eeeeeek

💐🍰☕️ zoo lovely to hear from you. Glad you are alright apart from the usual family disputes.
I'm keeping quiet here but having a little cry about some people not bothering or caring about other people ( me) and special times.
I have had a really rubbish time off. I'm fed up! I can't go anywhere this week because I have appointment with consultant next week and so have two app. This week for bloods, wee etc I could have two nights away at end of the week. If DH hasn't suggested anything I might just bugger off on my own somewhere luxurious for a night. I have been invited with Church as they didn't get finished last weekend. It is always fun. There is a gent in his 70 s that keeps us amused by his anecdotes. He gets into some funny situations.we go and have a walk and a pub lunch ( or two) and the scenery is spectacular. We score the pubs too.
I will actually be home for home Bleugh today. Planning to bake some cakes too. Coffee and walnut, lemon drizzle( if I have lemons) and something else. Going to take them on my course tomorrow night.

Still haven't completely cleared table. Stuff keeps getting put on it. It is mainly piles of RCs which have no home. I put them all on a tray and hoped I would think of somewhere/ something to do with them!
Two loads of washing.shiny the bloody sinks.wash the floor. Polti still hasn't appeared so will go drag it out myself before DH surfaces.
Bake cakes and clean up again.
Hopefully get out in the garden and set up mini green house bought as a bargain end of season last year.
Left over chicken for tea. Have to think of something to do with it.
Going to have half an hours more sleep as been awake since 3:30 am!
