Cag this applies to Star Stable too (we had another incident with that if you can believe it, but happily that was all above board).

Afreshcuppateaplease · 28/03/2018 08:07

Sounds scary sc

Our dc do play online on bloody fortnite. They are only allowed to play with each other / friends / dp

We can have the game on 3 consoles at once in this house Shock

Stilllivinginazoo · 28/03/2018 09:11

DS plays online only with a friend he knows.mainly he rambles around building in the creative side offline...

Afreshcuppateaplease · 28/03/2018 09:21

zoo you say no, unless you want him to drive you insane

HillsBesideTheSea · 28/03/2018 09:28

Cag We also had similar issues with minecraft that SC had, plus ds was allowed roblox by his dad despite this being terrible for facilitating issues. funny how his dad changed his tune a year or so later when it was all over the news The other issue we had was with aspie obsession over it. Fucking nightmare. I hate the bastard game for all the trouble it has caused here.

Calmer day here but spending it with one of the people. Which will either be fine or stressful depending on the mood of person.

HillsBesideTheSea · 28/03/2018 09:39

Aaand the answer is stressfull. Send chocolate, good traveling/no broken motorways/roads vibes. Pretty please?

Cagliostro · 28/03/2018 09:53

Ah thanks for that link sc it explains it all really well! Don’t worry, I have already told them it’s offline/single player/creative mode only, no online chat type stuff allowed. Apparently there are ways of setting up servers where only known friends can be on, but I’m not sure we would even do that TBH.

I deleted star stables too as there seemed to be no way of stopping the chat window popping up (DD didn’t seem to mind as it was boring) and I have had a friend post about Roblox so no way am I letting them near that. The only online game they’re allowed is animal jam which I’m happy with. And I expect it will be forgotten about now that Minecraft is available :o they are only allowed half an hour a day. Learned the hard way that more than that makes them loopy.

foxessocks · 28/03/2018 10:10

Just waiting for a friend to visit so had a mad tidy up. Then my mum visiting later. Lovely to have some visitors but this morning was so stressful both children so grumpy and dd so badly behaved. Wasnt my finest hour either. Could do with a few hours to myself to recover tbh! Although I'm sure visitors will cheer me up and the dc hopefully

Cleared living room hot spot by hiding it upstairs Blush

Older dc arguing woke ds3 after only 30 min of his nap Angry

Stilllivinginazoo · 28/03/2018 11:18

DS has concussion still.got exercises to help build up focus and concentration...

Afreshcuppateaplease · 28/03/2018 11:34

Gosh zoo have they said how long it could last

CotswoldStrife · 28/03/2018 12:03

Gosh zoo he must have really bashed his head, poor thing.

Roblox - DD was only allowed to play that when I was with her for ages, the in-game chat can be awful! No minecraft or fortnite here thanks! She probably spends more time watching Dan TDM playing games at the moment

Craft class was lovely this morning. So nice to be out and chatting, I do spend a fair bit of time on my own otherwise.

Will press on and check again at lunchtime.

Keep on keeping on everyone! I have been mostly stuck under the baby while delegating tasks TBH. Had useful discussion with DH about plans, he had thought that we may as well not upgrade Minecraft until we move, but I persuaded him that actually the Caglets are now motivated to work towards it sooner, and we need stuff done sooner, so may as well capitalise on it.

So the rules are:
All home ed and craft supplies sorted/decluttered - I was doing these myself but want to get them involved in it.
Clothes and books kept on top of (have mostly decluttered these already)
General help when we are tidying (they’ve been running about putting things away for us)
All toys sorted. This is the big one. They were quite horrified when we said we would be putting things away until the move, but they understood when we explained why. It’s just that four months (estimate) seems like forever to them! So they’ve agreed they’ll help sort it all out (we have made progress already last year but a little way to go) and decide what to put ‘in storage’

We haven’t made any progress clearing the wardrobe but we’ve sorted a lot of stuff from the floor, a bit of BRCs etc.

I really need to tackle the old baby clothes as I have a few options as to how to pass them on, but need to see if people actually want them. Some will have to wait, depends if relative is having a girl or not. Neutral clothes can hopefully be passed on sooner.

Steamcloud · 28/03/2018 13:35

Your poor ds Zoo. Post-concussion syndrome is definitely a 'thing' loads of research being done on it in horsey/eventing world atm as often mis- or under-diagnosed. Awareness getting better hwr. It's very unpleasant indeed.

You are a better person than me cleaning the church. I refused to do it (and the flowers and the ironing of altar linen) on the grounds that no blokes were ever put on those particular volunteer lists. I'm probably over-reacting but as I get older, I find the male hierarchical aspect of religious worship increasingly difficult I must admit.

Glad you found the link helpful Cag. It is well written isn't it? Even tech dullards like me can understand it. You sound way ahead of where we were in terms of understanding these things btw; we were coming from a position of total stupid-- ignorance about there even being a possibility of chatting with others through these games.

Could your ma take your dd out later to give you some (relative) peace Foxes?

Craft class sounds lovely Cotswold. I have totally failed on the crafting front since Jan despite good intentions. The problem is I tend to not allow myself to do anything I really enjoy on the grounds that I must do the chores/decluttering first. And then, you guessed it, I don't do the chores or the decluttering either. Blush Need to turn this around! Because I know from having done it before, that if you do do the creative things you enjoy FIRST, it definitely does lead to more productivity chore-wise later!

Right just back from vet and my lovely bun is back with me.

All is well Smile

[Hides vet's bill from dh]

Steamcloud · 28/03/2018 13:37

Complete strike-out mix-up there Cag!
Don't know how that happened??
The bit about you being more informed than me wasn't meant to be struck-out!!

Stilllivinginazoo · 28/03/2018 13:38

It's a small, mostly elderly congregation and they are all finding it too much so I happy take up the flack not huge or very old church(build after ww2)
Everyone's always very kind and complimentary after services-good job they've never step foot in my hellhole house 😂

Steamcloud · 28/03/2018 13:52

That is genuinely good of you Zoo Flowers

Cagliostro · 28/03/2018 14:11

You are a lovely person zoo you always help everyone!

I hear you on the making time for nice things issue. I remember banning myself from reading (other than course stuff) at college so I would have more time and really regretting it, it had the opposite effect on me than planned.

Lunch (spicy cod stir fry) was yummy! Trying to vary my diet a bit more so Cagletini gets as many tastes as possible 🙊😂😳

Congratulations call me!

I have my new phone hooray!

Really interesting about what you all say about not letting yourself do enjoyable stuff until all the work stuff chores etc done...I do this. Except I don't do housework in the evenings but then I'm too tired to do anything except watch TV. Consequently I never read anymore and still have a book on the go that I started at Xmas. I might try cutting myself some slack!
