[Cackles at caffiend - brilliant! Grin ]

Ta for new thread Cotswold!

Amazing list Hills!

Zoo/Afresh so this master bed in naughty corner; is it some sort of Tracy Emin-esque art installation or are we talking hospital corners? Grin

Hope you and ds ok tonight Foxes.

So had power cut half way through cooking dinner. DH reckons its DW, wm or kettle that is causing the issue, so none of those appliances can be used until electrician visits tomorrow. Bugger! This will severely delay Easter prep - but so serves me right for slacking /agitating at the weekend!

Then had interesting discussion with dd by candlelight (although electrics recovered later) on the sobering subjects of Hitler, the Holocaust and Anne Frank which she was translating from the Dutch (she finds it helpful if we discuss in English so she can learn equiv Eng vocab). This then turned in to a discussion about Stalin, Henry the Eighth and priest holes and Donald Trump.

After DD went to bed (still with hacking cough) DH and I sat up and started to discuss the two potential courses that the Brexit process might take, one of which shocked me so much that I am still awake now!

Must hit the hay! G'night all!

"An exhibit of compassion to the frazzled" ooh I like that Zoo Smile

Tempted to dive between sheets but I suspect there are others who are more in need... . 6 am here, time to get vertical ... .

[Lays out trays of croissants, platters of sliced mango and pineapple and pots of hot coffee and tea for everyone to serve themselves .. .]

Cagliostro · 27/03/2018 07:07

Compassion for the frazzled :o I wonder if they show that on mastershed when the contestants get their building plans wrong or the door falls off its hinges.

Well someone is wide awake and gurgly since 6. I wouldn’t mind so much especially as she did a 5.5hr stretch asleep in her bed, which is the best since the 4 month regression started... but that’s the only proper sleep she’s had. Serves me right for not bringing her upstairs earlier really 🤦‍♀️

FlyingJellyfishInTheAttic · 27/03/2018 08:56

Hi everyone hope you are all doing well and Flying through all the clutter!

Sorry I haven't been on. I really want to get involved again but so much other stuff going on has made it difficult.

Steamcloud · 27/03/2018 09:21

Good to see you Flyingjellyfish don't worry many of us fall on and off the wagon on here, feel free to pop in when you can.

Hills [extra strong brew]

Callmecordelia · 27/03/2018 10:33

Hello. Doing some flying, but interview tomorrow and it's really making me stressed. I'll see you all on the other side. Brew Cake Gin

CotswoldStrife · 27/03/2018 11:12

Our new motto - compassion for the frazzled, I love it!

Cordelia good luck with the interview tomorrow!
Bower is the hen still following
Hills sorry if the day didn't start well today, time for a coffee and cake reboot?
Cag hope you are all getting some sleep, is it too early for teething?
zoo you'll be needing the master-bed-naughty-corner if you've been up since 4.00am!
SC wide ranging discussion there. Electrics - can you turn everything off and then just put one item on to see what trips it?
fresh it's not a great time for germs, some really strong ones around Flowers
foxes hope you get that GP appointment
strawberry you're starting the day well there, ticking things off already
jellyfish one of the babysteps this week is jump in where you are, there's no compulsory attendance here so just drop by whenever.

I've done the school run (another long sleep for DD still catching up), dropped off a repeat prescription and done a little shopping. Didn't fancy anything I had in for breakfast so had two pieces of toast with cheese (not grilled) on. I'm not putting it in the naughty corner for snacks, let's put it that way, but it did the job.

OK. Better do something myself now. Starting to worry a little about some present shopping I need to do but want to work on the house again today so it's amazing I'm sitting here MNetting instead of doing anything really

Catch you later!

foxessocks · 27/03/2018 11:59

Thanks we have been to the gp they are getting second opinion and calling me later he might need antibiotics and he has a spot right down inside his ear too Sad

Dd was very sweet holding his hand while the doctor looked at him and she gave him a sticker when we got home!

T.v. back on again but it's just going to be one of those days. And I missed my new phone delivery because we were at the doctors so have had to rearrange. What are the chances we were only gone about half an hour!
