Oh no - don't say that Hills! Glad you are feeling better though!!

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 31/03/2018 09:59

Thanks all! They complained about something which to be fair does need fixing but is tricky to fix (exterior of house) and we have got people (proper tradespeople) to look at it who have said they can’t fix it. So we need to spend some time investigating it. But really, they hadn’t even got through the door!!!

Afreshcuppateaplease · 31/03/2018 10:06

Really its also not their buisness is it.

Do you pick fault at their house?

HillsBesideTheSea · 31/03/2018 10:30

You should be ok SC I think that I ignore whoever muttered the wise words about not doing too much which is why i got hit with a 2nd go around. Although tbh my insomnia has been at its historic proportions so it is entirely possible that all the sleep was needed because I was just that tired.

Stressy I tend to agree with Afresh here but it is difficult.

I have the windows open. It is cold, but nice to have some fresh air.

Cagliostro · 31/03/2018 10:42

Just catching up, stressy sorry you are having such, well, stress! :( your parents sound bloody hard work.

I’ll set up the new thread shortly, just thinking of a title and such. Don’t expect anything too witty on this little sleep though :o

Bower I’m still giggling at the idea of the lovely exciting town of Bromley having regional food specialities :o I definitely love the idea of tourist info type things, I got them doing an advert a while back when they were doing a magazine project at Badgers, thinking about how to make it attractive etc. Really enjoying the spoils of home ed this morning, they woke up early and went to nanny to ask for a history quiz :o had a few other ideas for projects too. If you have any ideas about RE I’d love to hear, it’s an aim for this year to do a little about each of the main six, maybe visit some temples etc. They are starting to get very interested in beliefs and cultures.

I’m not ready to leave baby for longer yet. She’s 5 months, and I must have left DD1 younger than that, but she was having bottles as well so I didn’t have the “what if she is hungry” worry.

DH just arrived for the day so I’m off! :)

Steamcloud · 31/03/2018 13:11

Hills yep, deffo sounded like you needed the sleep!

Toostressy agree, it is v difficult when it is your own parents, and slightly different when siblings but (most) of my family respect boundaries when they are here - manage to be tactful - knock on the occasional door if they are not sure someone is using bathroom/bedroom etc, do not complain etc, say please and thank you. It is basic manners surely? (Hope it is not impolite of me to say this Toostressy - not my place to malign your parents!) Families eh?

Allergy symptoms return when I'm in a particular part of the house downstairs - and go when I move away - must be environmental but nothing in there(I don't think) that hasn't been in there for a while ifyswim!

Ta v much for new thread Cag!

Frantic wing flaps to everyone else!

Feeling slightly less panicky now I have delegated shopping list to dd and dh Wink while I get on with choring...

HillsBesideTheSea · 31/03/2018 13:34

mould spores SC ?

Steamcloud · 31/03/2018 13:42

I doubt it Hills this house is mahoosively cold and drafty with 3m high ceilings, added to which I am a fresh air freak and constantly opening the windows. But will have a look around when I have a mo ... .

Steamcloud · 31/03/2018 13:46

Slightly worried though as centred around dog's favourite sofa [wibble]

Sofa is hoovered regularly and covers are washed a lot and covered in blankets which are also washed a lot and very honest-speaking friend's say there is no "doggy" smell in the house (I am a bit paranoid about this so ask people) but he's a very neat pointy sort of hound not a droolly smelly one. But what if I am becoming allergic to his fur ... ??

Put it this way, if dh had to choose between me and the dog, I know my place Grin Grin

Stilllivinginazoo · 31/03/2018 16:10

Steamcloud · 31/03/2018 18:42

Survived trip to supermarket and dh very very kindly endured accompanying me to hairdressers. Hadn't gone since Christmas because of vertigo so I feel like one of those manky rescue dogs with matted fur who get rescued and shaved by a kindly RSPCA officer Grin! (DH is a big bloke and he did his best to look inconspicuous while sitting sandwiched on a tiny perspex stool Grin beside two elderly women, one of whom was talking in great detail about her husband's recent prostate op Grin.)

Steamcloud · 31/03/2018 18:48

Brew and Brew and foot spars for Afresh and Zoo
We're having a kind of "false" veggie risotto thing tonight. Stirring it now while Mnsnetting.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 31/03/2018 19:00

'False'? Has it got meat in Confused?

foxessocks · 31/03/2018 19:32

Hello all! Just caught up on the thread. We've had a busy day freezing at a theme park Grin the dc have been beautifully behaved today so that's great. I, on the other hand, have been pretty horrible as I'm hormonal and tired and very snappy although dh got the brunt - I've been nice to the dc!

Off to eat my beans on toast now!

Steamcloud · 31/03/2018 20:27

Nah it's cos it wasn't cooked the right way Afresh without the proper arborio rice etc; not stirred long enough - no wine etc - just veg and stock and ordinary rice ifyswim, in other words, quick cheat's version ... .

Cagliostro · 31/03/2018 23:21

Ooh you’ve reminded me I used to do a lovely fake risotto, really tomatoey. Might try and remember how.

:o at the image of MrSC in the hairdresser!

I survived town today too. Absolutely heaving. I felt quite on edge all day TBH. This is one of those things, incidentally, that I cope better with since diagnosis of ASD. Not that it changes the fact I find it difficult of course. But the fact that I know why, that I’m not defective! I can be a bit kinder to myself IYSWIM. :)

Our trofast buckets are really scraggy now. One is melted where I put a candle next to it 😳 BTW foxes is it trugs you are meaning, those huge slightly flexible rubbery plastic buckets?

Anyways it is now April, well in 40min it is, huge thank you to Cotswold for running the month. See you all on the other side.
