Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

Morning all.

Oh dear I hope your day gets better hills anyone would be wise to not cross your path today.

foxes your ds diet today is very similar to mine so far too Grin

It's a beautiful blue sky sunny day here too cots the key thing is its actually warm outside aswell. A world away from the snow last week.

Ta da

Supermarket top up shop
Washed breakfast dishes and put away
Anti bac'd kitchen worktops
Made beds
Tidied kids rooms
Put a washing load on
Hoovered all rooms
Hung out washing

Having a spot of lunch (cream crackers and butter and some monster munch) then I'm gonna blitz the bathrooms this afternoon.

Mastershed Grin

Cagliostro · 26/03/2018 13:02

Nice to see you hills thanks for info about sight tests etc, should be fine then as the 1 year ago Facebook memory thing about her getting them came up recently. She only had the free frames anyway, she loved them! Black and pink/purple. She does normally wear them all the time - optician said it was my call whether to make her as her vision wasn’t terrible, but I suspect it’s got worse. It’s just that she takes them off for virtually all her clubs (she worries they’ll come off while dancing etc) and they got lost after gym. TBH I’m amazed they lasted about 11 months. Need to make a glasses case a permanent fixture in her backpack.

Washing machine is working again. Think it’s something to do with the door. Will have to keep a close eye.

Doctor phoned, got a prescription for vitamin D, advised iron supplements although I’m not strictly low just borderline (that’s quite good for me). But also said my thyroid function indicates overactive. WTF. I am completely the wrong profile for that, so she’s quite confused, and is asking an endocrinologist to decide what to do. More blood tests I suppose. I’ve had plenty of thyroid tests before (they won’t diagnose anything like CFS unless you have all that sort of thing ruled out) and always normal before. Weird.

Pupil arriving shortly.

Masters bed?! I am so on one...
MASTERSHED

HillsBesideTheSea · 26/03/2018 14:00

Tbh strawberry if they are wise they will help with the clean up process. OMG are the boys wild feral animals just looked at the bathroom properly

I knew I wasn't really well enough to be doing all the things and lingering illness has just hit me. Run out of energy. Tea is cooking in the slow cooker so it is a lazy not effort one. Going to shove another load of washing and then head into town to run some minor errands. You know the sort of jobs that need doing eventually but take up a whole heap for time for little results so you never quite get around to it. Will see what I can convince others to help me get done later.

CotswoldStrife · 26/03/2018 15:39

Masterbed, this thread is killing me today Grin

Hills at least you put the tea in the slow cooker. I'm going to need to put mine in the oven or the pressure cooker to turn it into an edible offering tonight!

Cagliostro · 26/03/2018 15:44

Masters Bed would be a very different programme 🙈😳

Pupil been and gone. Money earnt. Caglets playing outside with neighbour until taekwondo.

I’m so hungry! I have got bolognese out of the freezer for dinner, will be fine to just put pasta on when we get in. I have been utterly awful with meals lately, need to improve.

Steamcloud · 26/03/2018 16:18

"Mastershed" sounds like a programme on Channel 5 Grin "in which three sets of neighbours have to build the shed of their dreams in under 3 hrs using only recycled materials and a following wind" (when off camera they have access to the unpaid help of 3 designers and unlimited supplies of Farrow and Ball paint which would bankrupt you in rl ) Grin

Anyhooo....

Flowers Hills adult mumps sounds utterly horrid. Take care of yourself Flowers Dropped nearly all my plates here too if that is any consolation!

Cag well done re: lesson!

Bit of a mixed day:

on the Flying front FORCED myself to do home bleugh plus all rubbish and recycling and collecting up of laundry/plates/mugs so house has just about been dragged back from the brink ...

but - happily- was interrupted by dh who took me out for an early and unexpected lunch and actually turned his phone -off for 1.5 hrs so we were able to have an uninterrupted talk for once. Feeling happier because it turns out that (as ever) the root of current problems lies in his extremely long working hrs ie he finds it hard to discipline dd when just back from a trip and he hasn't seen her for nearly a fortnight, and he desperately wants to contribute to building work despite not really having the time (which comes across as controlling but he has now agreed for the need to delegate). Also, it turned out he had a very good and legitimate reason for working/being away most of the day yesterday but was crap at communicating it--.

So feeling overall much happier but then hen bubble burst slightly by...

(a) doc appt - jointly filled out a form outlining the standard 34 symptoms of menopause - and I appear to have 29 of them! Oh joy! Grin

(b) dd coming home in near hysterics because she failed an important maths test by 0.75 of a point. She understood it all but ran out of time (five pages of equations in one hour). I sympathised by saying it was great that she didn't have a problem with method - just timing - and gently suggested that the way to improve was to practice but apparently "I always say the wrong thing" [sigh] and more shenanigans ensued (totally sympathise as she is under a lot of pressure at school and is doing v well and working hard in other subjects - but lord this sort of thing is draining)

Then prepped last of Easter parcels for nieces/nephews/godchildren and took them to post office.

Managed x 4 washing loads but didn't manage to get them out on the terrace so td instead Blush

Just ending the day now by prepping supper (late in the day): cold roast pork, onion gravy, reheated dauphinoise with some kale for us and broccoli for dd. Very easy as all leftovers from yesterday.

Great lists everybody!!

strawberry1122 · 26/03/2018 16:20

hills haha yes I guess they would be wise to pitch in with the chores.

Grin at the typo of the typo.

Ta das continued

Bleached and mopped upstairs bathroom
Bleached and mopped downstairs loo
School run

Gonna make a start on tea soon. Fajitas tonight.

Steamcloud · 26/03/2018 16:21

but then hen bubble

eh?

not sure where a hen comes in to it but speaking of hens ...

waves to henny penny Grin

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 26/03/2018 16:22

Still loving the typos Grin.

Oh dear SC, at least lunch went well.

Ta da:-
More decluttering of DD2’s room. Why does decluttering take sooo long?

Disorganisation continues as I have forgotten the money and paperwork for badges for gymnastics. I really do despair of myself Sad.

Steamcloud · 26/03/2018 16:23

Oh dear Strawberry compared to your list, my "collecting up of rubbish, laundry, plates, mugs etc" ie bringing house back from brink , sounds like I'm starting from a much lower base point than you somehow ... .

Grin Blush Grin

Steamcloud · 26/03/2018 16:25

Indeed Toostressy Parmigiana melanzane [yum] Smile

Decluttering does take ages ...

Tis a sad fact but true ...

CotswoldStrife · 26/03/2018 17:27

As we've only got a few messages left now, I'll be posting the links for Tuesday on the continuation page tonight - please bring yourselves, snacks, hen bubbles and any masterchef/mastershed/master bed items that you wish over to part 2!

Goodness you have all been so busy.
I have to but unfortunately not at home.
So tired.
Saturday /Sunday
Cleaned bathroom.
Several loads of washing.
Vacuumed and Swept downstairs.
Worktops
Shined sink.
Cleaned out handbag when waiting at station.

Slept till 5:30 then listing things to do I fell back asleep and woke at 7:50 am😳 I had to jump into shower Never stopped today at work. No breaks as too busy. Got home at 7:15 and out by 7:45 eaten too. We won the quiz. We couldn't answer lots in the first round but turns out no one else could too. Full marks again in music / singalong round.
Sorry to hear of those under par.Cags my boys weren't keen on baths but DD loved them.she liked splashing the boys from about five months old.
We are breaking up on Thursday.
Henny Penny waves wing back. I have had to put logs under gate to stop her escaping. She made me late for church yesterday. Coming out then put her back. Getting into car again found I nearly had a hen in with me. Had to catch, put her back in and barricade gate. I keep forgetting and trip over logs. Aargh!
Master sheds - somewhere to put the master when he annoys you!
Didn't eat the chicken though apparently you can keep it for three to four days safely.
Waves to everyone. Sorry not here much but have read all your threads.

Steamcloud · 26/03/2018 23:54

Ha Grin @ Penny Jenny almost accompanying you to church Bowerbird, she obviously knew it was Palm Sunday and wanted to join the 100s of donkeys being led up various aisles Smile

Bowerbird5 · 27/03/2018 07:19

Good morning.
I feel much better for a good sleep. Just woke for loo and at the 3 am routine one but after half an hour managed to get back to sleep. I have been looking for better worksheets than mine for afternoon lesson but can't find any. Quite pleased with my effort from a few years ago so will use that. Going to see how much they can remember. Best jump up as I need to take object reminders with me.
No cleaning for me before I leave but might get washing on. Tomorrow morning house Bleugh. It definitely needs it. Hope those ill feel better today.

Steamcloud · 27/03/2018 07:54

Have a good day Bowerbird and glad you feel rested!
