Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

I am really really wishing i had managed to get the window seals replaced before winter hit last year. WInd is so strong it is blowing snow in through the current window seals ShockShock It is also strong enough to be worrying about roofs Sad. It is horrific out there.

Stilllivinginazoo · 01/03/2018 10:40

We had around half inch on ground(accumulation last few days) and walked lil zoo in thru a blizzard(tbh it wasn't huge flakes but was fast and driving at us)I was numb when walked back in front door(pass two co ops at pit stop at both as dd2 school shut due to hearing issues and she was crying was that cold.we pick up a bargain vic sponge reduced to 25p and some apples reduce 60p so we go scoff that cake at lunch and make spicy apple muffin which recipe I received yesterday as I still FB friends with carrotsandcelery who ran thread many moons ago.shes up north and has been baking every day this week as kids home eating everything in sight I see she's used up later mincemeat making muffins today!!)

Stilllivinginazoo · 01/03/2018 10:48

Ooophs.forgot me tada

Argued D's he had go school(his school has pathetic no coats in site policy and if wear it has go in locker, off sec thru school gates.his lockers nowhere near firm room(as us case most kids)so s

Afresh if you don't eat it get nothing else and lots physical activity only poss reasons mine eat most thingsthinks it's just pure luck they were lousy sleepers so I consider it my karma they at least eat!!

Last night had mountains kale mash.sweet potatoes and corned beef
Tonight's tea(preplanned) salmon, mash, broccoli and carrots.i want stew so I may have get my comfort fix from either a baked apple or a crumble and some custard...

To do

Too much laundry
Relocate hall whilst some chairs and bags are out of the way

What I want to do is crawl back into bed, pull covers over head and sleep.howljng winds and (bigger) snowflakes swirling blizzard style are not inviting for pick up later...

Stilllivinginazoo · 01/03/2018 10:50

HillsBesideTheSea · 01/03/2018 10:52

OP posts:
Afreshcuppateaplease · 01/03/2018 11:21

I am waiting for a break in weather

Phone app had promised me on by 11am but no sign

foxessocks · 01/03/2018 12:18

Feeble ta das
Dishwasher loaded
Sides wiped
Popped to local shop for a few supplies - no bread there but managed to get some drinkers
Ds down for nap
Cancelled my work later as don't feel well enough really
Spoke to holiday house owner and a refund should be possible which is good news since the weather and illness are probably going to mean we can't go to nephews party.

To do
Actually read fly lady stuff for today to see if I can manage any of it!
Finish daily routine

Stay safe out there everyone. Hope you're all staying indoors with food and hot drinks!

foxessocks · 01/03/2018 12:19

Managed to get some drinkers?! Some crumpets!

foxessocks · 01/03/2018 12:21

I see its front porch - too cold for that today! And my dining table is pretty much ok. Giving myself day off flying. Bare minimum today then.

Stilllivinginazoo · 01/03/2018 13:23

Sorry you are feeling so poorly foxes

Locate hall floor/tidy coats/bags etc

Try not murder very irritatingdd2

HillsBesideTheSea · 01/03/2018 13:46

Going to be honest there are business signs down here. It was not a break in the weather it was a lull enough to lead to false assumptions. Safely managed to get out, walk 3 miles and run a couple of errands though. But glad to be back and in the warm. Now to find motivation. Is the pointy stick about?

OP posts:
Steamcloud · 01/03/2018 13:48

I'm so cold, mine has been used for firewood Hills

foxessocks · 01/03/2018 14:00

more feeble ta das
dishwasher is on
washing is out of the machine but not on the dryer...
took some rubbish out to the green bin (brrrrrr!)

to do
finish daily routine stuff
that is all

GoingGoingGoth · 01/03/2018 15:02

Laughs at Errands day - we're no longer under a Red Warning but still Amber until tomorrow morning - although it's beautiful sunshine at the moment.

Schools are shut again tomorrow. Did run into DD's bedroom this morning saying "Hurry, got a text saying the school's re-opened" Her face was a picture! [grins]

Turns out Snow Days involves lots of cups of tea & pancakes.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 01/03/2018 15:13

Our school like to leave it until the last moment to let us know about closing. Think 830am.....

So no idea about tomorrow

Snow having a break but extremely windy

WhispersOfWickedness · 01/03/2018 15:23

Ahem, I got lost in real life for a while and MN logged me out and it's taken this long to dig out my log in details again...
So, I am back with even worse motivation than I had before, have had two days snowed in and still minimum flying done 😳 Going to get back on the wagon... tomorrow...

Afreshcuppateaplease · 01/03/2018 15:31

And snow is back

HillsBesideTheSea · 01/03/2018 15:54

We still have horrific wind and horizontal snow. Ds has delightfully informed me that one of our neighbours has lost their bin down the road. Ours has a brick on it. As long as the roof stays on and the trees stay upright it will be ok. Although this is not the weather we are supposed to have. The wind is far stronger than anything the weather is suggesting. Would love to know the speed but also not cos it might be scary to know!

I am anticipating a snow day tomo, we have cancelled ds' trip away this weekend. Small roads in isolated places, even if they are the main road through are not a good plan.

foxessocks · 01/03/2018 16:05

Ta da
Washing hung up
Small bit of tidying
More washing on
Watched a mind numbing amount od hey duggee with the dc

I'm just contemplating what we can eat for dinner. We are short on supplies for poorly people - can't have tonight's planned dinner which was chicken fajitas as too spicy for delicate stomachs. We are running low on pasta and have no bread only two crumpets left! I'm thinking oven chips...

I'm counting down the minutes for the kids to go to bed so I can watch tv in peace and snooze a bit!

Cagliostro · 01/03/2018 16:58

Signing in, thank you for the new thread!

I’m still catching up, we’ve had the most batshit crazy start to the month, I will update later.

Stilllivinginazoo · 01/03/2018 17:56

Still feel a bit delicate.missing eating naice bread(my downfall).fed up of getting cold.want pull covers over head and hibernate!!

FoolandFitz · 01/03/2018 18:17

Brrr it's cold. Was out for an hour today (but not in one block) with the die hard children who always want to play outside. Bloody effing freezing. It;s snowing but it's light powdery snow so not really sticking. But the wind, it's howling outside. Not sure that schools will close round our area though.

My resolution ta-da for Feb:
Get to bed before 10.30 pm - still struggling with this but I am still going to perservere
Wash up before bed - only 4 missed and two of those I was poorly.
No spends on clothes - yay!
Reached target steps and over only 9 out of 28 days. But I have been poorly and I can't walk in this weather. Will do better in March hopefully

Normal flying ta-das
Nowt. Have lost my flying mojo. Apart from making bed and getting clothes ready for next day.

FoolandFitz · 01/03/2018 18:47

Oh and I kept off AIBU for 2 whole months!

Cagliostro · 01/03/2018 18:59

I am absolutely shattered and in lots of pain. Shivering under a duvet. So the last couple of days, we ended up at the hospital because the bus driver went so fast round the roundabout that the buggy tipped over! She didn’t fall out but she slipped and we couldn’t see if she’d hurt her neck or head. She’s absolutely fine (chatty and gurgly and charmed the socks off hospital staff). So that was yesterday Hmm

I was super stressy all day, in a REALLY horrible mood, DH and I were snappy and TBH I just wanted everyone to sod off (except the baby, she’s quite cute so she can stay). I also had to order a new fridge, as ours has stopped working properly, thankfully there was one in BHF, just hope they can deliver it in the snow. I’ve got a thermometer in the old one to keep an eye, as if it rises too much we can’t risk eating the food that’s in there, it’s ok at the moment.

Today was a major rush as I needed to go to trampolining, but realised I had to print stuff first, so we went to the library really early, and then the things that I was supposed to be there for didn’t even happen. AND I then realised I had forgotten half the printing, thankfully the coach was nice about it.

Then it was a rush back home to get everything ready for the party, made it down there and thankfully another mum arrived early and helped set up tables etc. It went really well, met some new people too. Now home and absolutely fucking freezing, due to the lack of heating mentioned in the last thread. It’s causing major joint pain so that’s fun.

I have a ready made lasagne in the oven, took me a long time to stand up enough to actually put it on. Just hope our crappy oven actually cooks it.

Need to post about sports club tomorrow, I’ve spoken to most people anyway and they agree it can’t go ahead due to snow. DH is off work (possibly doing a charity firewalk in the evening but that may not happen, they will announce tomorrow if cancelled) but it’s not like we can use the time to get anything done as it will all be catching up on everything I can’t do today. Which is everything!

Gah. I hurt 😭
