Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

Congrats on fab list work Goth, Strawberry, Afresh, Toostressy and great menus as ever Zoo

I've hardly done any Flying (again) this week. House just about hanging in there from guest-readiness last week, but beginning to fall apart at the edges Smile

Steamcloud · 23/03/2018 12:54

Oh bugger, just looked at the news from France Sad

It was the two year anniversary of the attacks here yesterday, so those victims very much in our minds ATM. Can't bear to hear of it happening again Sad

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/03/2018 14:54
foxessocks · 23/03/2018 15:07

Like the tip...damp sock and coat hanger never heard that one! Does it work well!? You're most welcome to some of both zoo but so far I've made neither. I'm not keen on ginger cake though but dh and ds would scoff the lot! Dd decides on a daily basis what she likes and doesn't Hmm

Ta da
Put shoes in new storage box and cleared out loads of old bags for presents etc just kept the good ones
Put dh toiletries in his new basket thing I got to keep them tidy. He is going to make this face when he sees Hmm
Put bathroom toiletries in another basket
Now when I dust and wipe etc I only have to lift one thing off each area -its a revelation I tell you!!
Finished daily routine
Changed water in my flowers
Dusted car dashboard etc
Decluttered bag and purse
Cleaned kitchen from lunchtime mess
Provided dd with numerous snacks despite her having two lunches. Bottomless pit today!
Amended my food shop for next week

To do
Make banana flapjacks - with spare for naughty corner Grin

I need to go and wake ds up really or he won't go to bed tonight. I've been making loads of noise near his room but he's still snoring.

foxessocks · 23/03/2018 15:08

Also despite so many toys dd is now happily playing with a bit of old wrapping paper and an old gift bag Confused

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/03/2018 18:13

I have a class picture of dd1 first Xmas ignoring pile toys and play a cabbage in the veg rackGrin

Yep,damp sock worked a treat.read it in a book many moons ago.funny I remember that but not what I did yesterday old age gimmer
Did behind other sofa
Zoolets lamb n pittas done.
Washed up
Off drop girls at choir shortly
Luckily end our rd so as D's not up to it the revs offered bring them back as he will be asleep or they couldn't go as DP working tonight

Afreshcuppateaplease · 23/03/2018 19:19

Omg ds3 loves the veg rack!

foxessocks · 23/03/2018 19:31

That's a funny image zoo playing with a cabbage on Xmas day!

I don't have a veg rack Sad but probably a good thing as ds already helps himself to the fruit bowl and puts half eaten apples back. My veg is in a cupboard (or the fridge)which he can't open luckily!

No banana flapjack (sorry zoo I'm a letdown!) My work took over and then we had a bit of a stressful bedtime for one reason and another. I'm shattered.

Also my dh thinks broccoli doesn't belong in sausage pasta with red pesto, I think it would have been fine. I'm not bothered he didn't put broccoli in it I just want you all to tell me I'm right Grin

Stilllivinginazoo · 23/03/2018 19:44

I'd eat it but i love broccoli foxes
Just go put me veggies in to roast (aiming for an 815 supper)
Risotto to start shortly

I must admit it was just a cheapie plastic thing (that died years back) I too am dump it in fridge now as more zoolets equals higher chance half eaten, teeth marks in the contents veg rack(hopefully not now they older, but in the younger years...Grin)

Must toodle and get dinner for me n dd2 sorted
Hope everyone's having a good Friday night
or at least kids in bed at decent hour and a bit of quiet time

Steamcloud · 23/03/2018 20:36

Deffo would have had broccoli with it Foxes! (Nods head vigorously.)

Longtime · 23/03/2018 22:25

Having only just made a reappearance, I’ll be off again as dm and dd arrive from the UK tomorrow. I’m not entirely happy with the decluttering progress I’ve made but at least there has been progress. I don’t think either of them will notice! Dh back this evening after 3 weeks in China. It’s nice not to be in my own!

CotswoldStrife · 24/03/2018 00:14

Thanks for the good luck wishes for DD, they may have worked! Despite being nervous, the exam went well. Busy day, but managed to fit everything in.

I remember that my own DD used to take chunks out of fruit and veg in her younger years - at one point when we were trying to sell our house, one disorganised viewer turned up a day late and I'd just got back from the farm shop. Viewer came in to the house to see DD sitting on the hall floor gnawing at a whole cauliflower. Classy.

Bowerbird5 · 24/03/2018 08:05

A big hello to you all.
I feel exhausted and have to go out at 9:45 as I have booked a raft class. Would rather stay home today...in bed.
Oh my goodness now I know I am back at work for my full hours. It has been fun and games last week and this. Very, very stressful. Can't say on here but I've been in tears over my school kids a couple of times in the past week. I also worked my day off and completed the day by doing work at home till 11:45pm. No wonder I am tired and I have all last weeks paperwork to do as I haven't had time.
Hardly any ta Das just squeezed in what I could. So exhausted mentally and physical by children with behaviour problems that when I came home some days I just made cup of tea and fell asleep on sofa.
New tablets seem ok but he said I would feel tired at first and then they should adjust.
Been cooking and baking ( for school but I had some left overs) so have a question. Think I know the answer.Hmm I cooked chicken breast, bought too many (cheap)and was going to share with friend,
But she had eaten early on Thursday😣 so cooked late Wednesday made curry and Chinese. Ate Chinese disappointed because I couldn't open tins of b.shoots and water chestnuts but it was yummy. Ate curry on Thursday but still had loads over. Friday is fish re RC and lent. Needed to eat haddock fish cakes/potato cakes not much fish in those Sainsbury's. How many days would you keep and eat cooked chicken?

Welcome strawberry.I have four children all grown up but still need me occasionally like DS2 needs me to check slow drip tap while he is on holiday. I did think about have a night over ther in his new house but I have been to busy.😞 he is back tonight I think. I bet he was hoping I had cleaned it. I thought about it but I had my own tip here. His is tidier as there isn't much in it. I reckon you could clean whole house in two hours.

I need to get up. Been drinking my way through my Mother's Day teas this week. Womankind today.
I have been catching up with all your news. I don't like to miss it now. Sorry to hear so many with bugs. I thought that snow and ice would kill a few. Our hospital is shut to visitors😳 hoping I don't need another visit in there as Norovirus rife. Loved the cabbage and cauliflower stories.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 24/03/2018 08:10

Bless you bower you sound worn out and in need of TLC. I am sure the children and their families are extremely grateful for your hard work. I have worked briefly with young children with behavioural issues and it was draining. I could not have done it full time so hats off to you FlowersBrewCake

I wouldnt eat the chicken but im not sure on the rules tbh! Im sure someone wiser will be along!

strawberry1122 · 24/03/2018 08:25

Hi bower I would ditch the chicken. I am known to sometimes take it upon myself to clean other people's homes lol.

Right I'm gonna get up and make a start after paw patrol

foxessocks · 24/03/2018 08:29

zoo tell me about it! I'm starting to worry about dd getting sick so many times in this one month. Over a week of a weird bug at the beginning of the month with upset stomach but not sick then a few days ok then chicken pox for a week then a few days ok again now sick early this morning and a tiny bit of diarreah (so!?) But she has slept until 8 and seems ok now not feeling sick and eating some dry toast. Should I be concerned or is this normal for preschoolsrs?! Maybe she's just in a vicious cycle of catching things?

Sorry everyone tmi for this early on a Saturday but I'm just a bit worried.
