Right you horrible lot stop nattering so much nah it wouldn't be fun if you did

So you have wandered into this corner of MN were the fledglings - a long running but very friendly group welcomes newbies and follows the flylady way to try to get decluttered and on top of the boring stuff in order to have more time for the fun other boring but essential stuff

No idea whose turn it was to run the thread this month but here it the thread and we can figure it out from there.

That should say "sp" not so !

strawberry1122 · 24/03/2018 08:53

They pick up all sorts of bugs at school. I wouldnt worry too much. I hope she gets well soon (passes a bottle of bleach).

Ok I have

Fed kids
Washed dishes and put away
Anti bac'd kitchen tops

Need to have a shower, get changed, get kids changed.

Afreshcuppateaplease · 24/03/2018 08:54

foxes i think the problem is when they arent well the body is less able to fight more germs!

foxessocks · 24/03/2018 09:18

afresh see I did think that might be it...maybe the Easter holidays will be a good break for her then.

Thanks for reassurances. I had a wobble this morning along the lines of what am I doing wrong!?! And my mil keeps suggesting I take her to the gp but I don't really think I need to. But now I'm questioning myself. Yet again I don't feel remotely like a proper adult Confused

foxessocks · 24/03/2018 09:21

Ta da
Two lots of laundry and two lots hung up
Bleached toilet
Made breakfast
Emptied and loaded diswasher
Took rubbish out

To do
Tidy upstair
Put laundry away
Clean bathroom
Make banana flapjack depending on if dd stays ok...

no more sick so far since about 5.30am. Could that really be it?!

Afreshcuppateaplease · 24/03/2018 09:29

I dont think id take her to the gp yet. Her symptoms are normal of bugs and treatable with calpol etc. I doubt your gp would say any more than calpol rest and fluids!

foxessocks · 24/03/2018 09:33

That's what I thought afresh thank you Flowers

strawberry1122 · 24/03/2018 09:37

Keep her hydrated. Lots of fluids so to flush the bugs out of her body. And keep up the bleaching and I'm sure she will be well soon Smile

Steamcloud · 24/03/2018 09:38

Don't worry Foxes, she'll have picked up another bug up at nursery. Poor you having to cope with the constant stream of illnesses though Flowers. Just so you know there is light at the end of the tunnel, things got considerably better for us from the age of six onwards. Having said that, DD has full blown throat infection this morning, and is feeling really rough!

Bowerbird fwiw we eat a chicken the night I've roasted it, plus the next day/night cold, but not generally after that.

Congrats to your dd Cotswold!

CotswoldStrife · 24/03/2018 10:01

foxes it's awful when they just keep going down with things, sorry to hear you're dealing with it all again. It's exhausting for you too, even if you don't go down with it yourself.

Bower try and get some rest over the weekend, you sound shattered. I'd keep cooked chicken for 48 hours tbh.

Well the day started well here, I caught up with the washing up and then started breakfast only to find in my flustered state yesterday I'd put the packet of bacon in the freezer instead of the fridge! Bit of defrosting required before the usual bumper weekend breakfast

Will start getting DD ready to go out soon, perhaps another cup of caffeine first though.

Cagliostro · 24/03/2018 10:18

I happily eat cooked chicken 2 days after, and I’m quite a germophobe in the kitchen, obsessive about dates etc. DH is more cavalier than me.

From what I recall though (I did a food hygiene training thing years ago) it’s not just the amount of time, but how many times it’s been heated. Something about there being a ‘danger zone’ of temperature (between fridge cold and hot enough to kill stuff) and basically the more times you heat/cool the food through that zone, the more risky it is. So I’ll happily eat chicken off the roast, but if say I made a curry etc from the cold leftovers, I wouldn’t then reheat that again IYSWIM.

I have no idea if I’ve remembered that right 😳😂

Today is going to be a no fly zone.

strawberry1122 · 24/03/2018 10:26

Washing machine on
Kids changed
Downstairs tidied
Downstairs loo and sink cleaned

That's me and the chores done for the day now. We are heading out soon for a friend's daughter's birthday at the local adventure park then onto my dad's fiance's birthday this evening. It's gonna be a long day.

Stilllivinginazoo · 24/03/2018 10:40

cag that's correct(also did food hygiene for community cafe) cool it quickly(covered with kitchen roll to prevent bacteria landing whilst still warm and multiplying some more)cover, label and into 4oc Max temp.reheat once only.id say most things are 48hrs max.rice exception at just 24hrs and needs be run under cold water til stone cold before chilling then reheat the fuck out if it as it carries highest risk of all goods in food poisoning in reheating (useless fact of the day)
Strawberry have fun!!

Break up heated debate about music between girls-dp over ride my decision over buying lil zoo a mini cd system for last birthday.this means they now bicker as dd2 like rap and lil zoo don't.she puts her music on,dd2 puts in headphones and plays phone music loud and they both get louder and louder try block each others "noise" -next door works nights and her bedrooms next to theirs....

Help dd2 with science revision

Dinners on-black eye bean burgers in a bun with salad.chips

Stilllivinginazoo · 24/03/2018 13:15

Afreshcuppateaplease · 24/03/2018 13:28

I hoover our cobwebs zoo! Its much less mingin

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 24/03/2018 13:47

Hi everyone. Definitely agree with Afresh, zoo, hoovering cobwebs is much nicer Grin.

I agree with everyone foxes, at preschool age I’m afraid they are picking up bugs constantly plus can get one thing after another when ill. Console yourself a bit that she is building her immune system. I’d see how she is after the Easter holidays. That said, as a HCP I am duty bound to say that of course if you get really worried then get her seen. My parents fret constantly when DDs are ill do tbh I tell them as little as possibly when they are poorly Blush.

Ta da:-
DD1 at dancing, just about to pick up now
Quick food shop while DD2 dancing
Got some chocolate eggs for the Easter egg hunt
Some homework done
One load of laundry done.

To do:-
Lots more laundry
Go through memory boxes some more
I was hoping we could do some tidying of the girls rooms but I think that is very optimistic. They want to look at Heely type roller shoe things on the internet instead Hmm.

Stilllivinginazoo · 24/03/2018 14:29

I don't currently owns hoover,hence the cobwebfloss!!

Tada
Finally got round write and send email to a company dd2 got a lava lamp for Xmas from it just clumped wax and doesn't do anything...anyhoo,they've email me back within the half hour with some tips.possible result!!

Sorted thru dd2 "beauty" box and help her organise it.used f+f covered box tip to contain all her foot scrubs/creams and ditto hand and face products.looks much tidier and accessible!

Stilllivinginazoo · 24/03/2018 14:30

Time for snack..

To do
Clean behind cooker
Clean behind tumble drier

Do something in my room..

Cagliostro · 24/03/2018 17:58

Quiet here today! Are you all busy flying? I am... not.

I took DD to her dance exam (ballroom - jive) and errrrm that’s it. Had a disappointing sandwich in the cafe between the lesson and the exam, and bought a big pasta thing to heat up for dinner (will add some frozen veg). Unless you count binge watching Marcella.

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 24/03/2018 18:07

How did your DD get on Cag? Is Marcella any good? I am desperate for something new to watch and watched the first few mins of series 1 and it didn’t grab me but I really didn’t give it long enough.

Sadly I am not flying and have really lost interest in the day.

Who has the pointy stick??

foxessocks · 24/03/2018 18:14

I've had a quick tidy up while dc are in the bath but that's me done for the day! I did make the banana flapjack but for some reason got the quantities totally wrong so it isn't very sweet. I like it but dh wasn't so sure!

I've been working all afternoon. Dh took dc to the supermarket. Dd seems fine and no more sick . She had a normal amount for dinner so if that stays down I reckon that was it. Hope so because mil meant to be babysitting for a few hours tomorrow!

Hope everyone okay must get ds ready for bed now. Early nights all round!
